As expected, when Jimmy proposed leaving New York to study for a while at the Quantico Academy, Nia's expression changed. It took quite an effort to calm her down, but it was all his fault.

Having already obtained Hughes's consent, Jimmy was finally ready to make a trip back to the office. Before getting a reply, he could only ask Mahong for sick leave, and he would have to inform him later about the training. Now that he had the permission, he could handle it all at once to avoid the hassle of back-and-forth communication.

The next day, Nia arrived at Jimmy's apartnt early, taking him to the Federal Square FBI office. She escorted Jimmy upstairs, then waited outside his office while he requested the leave.

Mahong, "What happened? How are you now?"

Jimmy lifted his arms slightly, "Just what you see, got into a fight with a tough one on a case. Mahong, I need to recuperate for over a month."

Mahong nodded, "Is it the case with Hughes? No problem, you can go back and rest, don't worry about here."

Jimmy nodded, "There's one more thing, Quantico would like to return as an instructor for a while, and Hughes has agreed, so I might be at the Academy for so ti once I'm healed."

Mahong slowly nodded, "Anything else?"

Jimmy shook his head, "That's all, so I might not be able to co back here for quite a long ti."

Mahong, "OK. I understand, I'll communicate with Hughes. Goodbye, Jimmy."

Jimmy nodded, "Then I'll be leaving first, goodbye, Mahong."

Mahong, "Goodbye, take care of yourself."

Jimmy turned and pushed the door open with his left shoulder. Nia, who was waiting outside, ca over upon seeing Jimmy co out. She said goodbye to Mahong and then descended the stairs with Jimmy. Nia had delayed her own ti to clock in today to take him back and forth, and then she drove to the police station for work.

Jimmy was in a worse state; since both of his arms were barely mobile, he even found eating troubleso. He had contacted a dostic agency the day before, and they would arrange a full-ti caretaker to co over today. Though it was only for two weeks, it'd be better to have soone to look after him. As for Nia, she still had the police departnt to attend to – although she could deliver food after work, Jimmy couldn't just eat one al a day.

Two weeks later, upon his strong insistence, Jimmy returned to the hospital to confirm his healing progress with new X-rays. The injuries on his right arm had almost fully healed, which surprised the doctors; normally, a bone fracture would require at least four weeks in a cast. (Even with a cast on, you can still have an X-ray taken; it just affects the image quality a bit, but it's not a problem for experienced doctors. Tested personally years ago.)

Comparing the new X-ray with the previous one, the doctor noted significant healing. Looking at Jimmy, his expression changed rapidly, "May I ask about your living conditions these past two weeks?"

Jimmy frowned at the doctor, "What's wrong? Is it more serious? I don't feel pain, just a bit of itchy discomfort."

Doctor, "No, no, quite the opposite, in fact. Your recovery has been much faster than average."

Jimmy finally relaxed, "I haven't left ho these two weeks, been staying in, got a nanny to take care of , and she prepared all three als."

Doctor, "Do you have a nu?"

Jimmy rolled his eyes, "No, I can't even rember what I've eaten; her cooking was just passable, certainly not delicious."

Doctor, "Could you have your nanny co over? I'd like to et her."

Jimmy, "I need to ask her first. If she agrees, I'll bring her along. Doctor, can I remove the cast now?"

Doctor, "Not yet, there are still two fairly noticeable fractures in the left arm, and one in the right. Co back next week, and we'll see how the recovery is progressing."

Jimmy had no choice but to return ho and extend the nanny's service for another two weeks. Even if the cast was removed, he wasn't supposed to engage in vigorous activities. Although what the nanny cooked wasn't bad, it was not particularly tasty either, but it was acceptable.

He also ntioned the doctor's request to the nanny; the next ti they went, he would take her along. If the doctor confird her food had an effect, she might be able to leave behind her nanny career for a better opportunity.

Three weeks after the injury, Jimmy finally got the cast off his right arm, although his left arm would need another week's wait. The nanny continued to cook for him after answering the doctor's questions. The doctor didn't find any specific reasons for Jimmy's quick recovery in the nanny's nu, so he had to attribute it to individual differences in physical conditions, with Jimmy naturally having a slightly stronger recovery ability.

Nia had taken leave, and after spending a few days clinging to each other, allowed the nanny to rest. anwhile, Jimmy got a notification from Amy: Jas would be retiring in a month, and they invited Jimmy to secretly return to Little Rock for the retirent party, to surprise Jas.

A month after his injury, Jimmy finally got all the casts and splints removed, and he packed a suitcase, taking his two 1875s, and drove his rcury to Quantico.

But before heading to Quantico, Jimmy had to make a trip to Philadelphia; his custom gun was ready, but due to his injury, hadn't had the ti to pick it up. Plus, Kael had promised to help with the gun permit; now he could wrap both things up in one visit.

Arriving in Philadelphia at the Morgan residence, Kael welcod Jimmy inside after receiving his call.
