Leaning on the couch, Jimmy reflected on his recent criticism of Chris and suddenly felt as if he might have been a bit too harsh.

Although Chris left without saying anything, he at least waited for Agent Gordon and his team from headquarters to arrive at the office and had assigned their tasks before he left.

To the case, a reliable person in charge is very important. Chris clearly had an understanding of Gordon and knew that he was dependable before he didn't assign any extra tasks to Jimmy. He just made sure everything was safe and sound and let nature take its course, allowing Jimmy to take his place in the case based on his own skill, rather than being very distrustful and completely excluding Jimmy, leaving everything to the people from headquarters.

Jimmy wasn't soone who lacked consideration for others; it was just that he really didn't know anything before. When a major case erged, Chris disappeared without saying anything, and Hughes simply received Gordon and then didn't arrange for anyone else to be involved, which made Jimmy very uncomfortable in the early stages. Now that he had thought it through, he naturally wouldn't mind Chris's arrangents anymore.

Jimmy hoped that Chris would recover soon. Stage Three liver cancer was basically a declaration of the end, and he only hoped that Chris would get better soon so that he could co back to recuperate and Jimmy could go see him, rather than having to guess his condition through sheer imagination now.

The next day, Jimmy received several assistants from the office of the Federation Prosecutor at the office. They were the personnel arranged by Prosecutor Sara Browning to get acquainted with the details of the case and the evidence in advance. As Jimmy was writing the case report, he communicated with them. The cooperation between both parties was decent, although many tis their questions caught Jimmy off guard, sothing he had not considered at all.

Jimmy was very welco to the thoroughness of the case. When it ca ti for prosecution, the main effort would co from them; Jimmy's involvent would mainly be testimony and statents. Therefore, no matter how minor the details were, they would do their utmost to perfect them, ensuring there would be no issues during the trial.

For this foiled terrorist attack case, from the office of the Federation Prosecutor to the Federal Court, efficiency was very high. Although they already had quite a few cases on their hands, they still prioritized this one. With the efforts of Jimmy and several assistants, in just one week, all evidence and procedures were verified and the case had already entered the litigation process.

As the mastermind of the case had already left the United States, at the request of the FBI, the Federal judge ultimately agreed to a closed hearing, keeping so of the hearing details confidential and not open to the public. Jimmy, as the case officer, testified in court, with the individuals involved in the bomb case being tried separately. The harshest sentence was life imprisonnt for El, as he had indeed detonated a fertilizer bomb in Brooklyn and an unexploded C4 bomb was found in his house. As for the others, they were sentenced to prison for 20-50 years respectively, with Abdul being sentenced to 50 years for the terrorist attack and first-degree murder.

In the end, the individuals were sent to different prisons, with El being sent to the highest security area, while the others served their sentences in dium-security prisons. This was the differentiated treatnt for high-risk criminals. El was the bomb maker; the skill he possessed was very dangerous to the other people in prison. Besides, he was also a core mber besides mastermind Nu'er Mohammod, and had to be treated with caution.

As the mastermind, Nu'er Mohammod was tried in absentia without being present, and was sentenced to life in prison. The Judicial Departnt would issue a warrant for his arrest, and the FBI requested the cooperation of the French police in investigating Nu'er Mohammod who had fled to Paris. Of course, what effect this would have is hard to say, and it wasn't possible to arrange for Jimmy to go abroad to investigate directly.
