Lin Xinlan just cried, crying so hard that she couldn’t catch her breath.

The man gently stroked her back, and it took a long ti before she cald down.

"Rong Shaoze, if you and Xiaocong can co back safe and sound this ti... let’s find a new place to live, and never live this kind of life again, okay?" She said with swollen eyes, choking up.

The man’s eyes flickered slightly, his eyes equally wet.

"Okay, I promise you."

He didn’t want to live this kind of life anymore either.

Now, he had no ambitions left; he just hoped that he could spend his life happily and peacefully with his family.

What would be the point of having so much if he lost them.

"Alright, get so rest." The man embraced her and lay down, reaching out to turn off the bedside lamp.

The room imdiately turned dark, but the sadness beca even clearer.

There were still a few hours until dawn, but Lin Xinlan couldn’t sleep.

She clung to his body, burying her face in his chest, inhaling his scent, and her heart ached even more.

Reaching out, she slowly traced his features, wanting to morize his face, never to forget it for as long as she lived.

The man grabbed her hand, turned around, and urgently, longingly kissed her lips.

Lin Xinlan hooked her arms around his neck, responding to his kiss just as passionately.

This might be the last ti they held each other, so both of them were especially fervent, especially cherishing the mont.

But no matter how deep and tender, it had to co to an end eventually.

Dawn was gradually breaking.

Rong Shaoze went to take a shower, and when he ca out, Lin Xinlan was already dressed, sitting on the bed.

Neither of them had slept all night.

Lin Xinlan had touched up her makeup, with no signs of tears on her face; Rong Shaoze had shaved, and looked quite refreshed.

The man glanced at her, then opened the wardrobe and took out a pair of trousers to put on.

His fingers moved among the shirts, and Lin Xinlan stepped forward to choose a black shirt for him, then helped him put it on.

With her head lowered, she silently dressed him, her movents extrely ticulous.

Rong Shaoze opened his arms, saying nothing, letting her dress him.

Lin Xinlan buttoned up his shirt from bottom to top, each button carefully fastened.

"You once told that your greatest happiness was buttoning your shirt every morning. And now, I want to tell you, my greatest happiness is being able to button your shirt every morning..."

As she spoke, a tear fell from her eyes, and the man gently caught it with his hand.

He clenched his palm, feeling the warmth of the tear, which almost burned his heart.

Lin Xinlan raised her eyes, gazing at him deeply, "Husband, you must promise , you and Xiaocong must co back alive. I’ll be waiting at ho for you both, forever waiting."

Rong Shaoze cupped her face, his thumb tenderly caressing her skin.

He leaned down and kissed her gently, only releasing her after a long ti.

"I promise you, Xiaocong and I will co back alive, my wife."

Lin Xinlan threw herself into his arms, inhaling deeply his scent once more.

She wanted to rember his scent forever because it was her most favorite, most beloved scent...

Rong Shaoze also held her tightly, breathing in her fragrance.

"Let’s go, I’ll cook you so noodles downstairs." Lin Xinlan said, smiling as she let him go.

Rong Shaoze also smiled, and the two of them went downstairs hand in hand, like a couple deeply in love, inseparable.
