Heh! It seems he has misunderstood her; she’s just not cold to n, really a clever Maya, really knows how to take advantage.
A mont later, Maya returned to the living room with her second brother, laughing and chatting, while the man walked behind her. He reached out his right hand, gently ruffling Maya’s head, and with a gentle smile said, "Maya has grown taller, getting prettier, and your mind is sharper."
Listening to the man praise her as if she were a child, Maya felt a little embarrassed; it had been a long ti since soone praised her like this.
So, she awkwardly smiled and said, "Not too bad!"
After speaking, she lifted her head, and when she looked towards the living room, her eyes t those of Liam. Seeing his cold and handso gaze, she took a deep breath, wondering, what has she done to offend him again?
Every ti he sees her, he seems to wish to devour her.
Seeing his sharp gaze, the relaxed expression on her face quickly disappeared, and her little eyes withdrew from him as well.
Thinking that today might be the last ti the two of them et, she couldn’t help but feel a bit relieved.
Walking behind the girl, Kinsley took a deep breath, observing soone’s scrutinizing gaze, thinking that Maya must not be able to stay in the Spencer Family, so she decided to live at school.
As the two walked to the living room, the man suddenly took Maya’s little hand, letting her sit next to him, and then ordered the servant to pour her so tea.
Opposite them, Liam watched the man’s attempts to please her, his gaze fixed intently on the girl.
In the spacious living room, he stared at her unflinchingly, as if she had done sothing wrong.
He was just displeased, displeased that Maya sat by soone else’s side, displeased she was accepting soone else’s kindness.
However, Kinsley being kind to the girl was only because no one else cared for her; seeing her alone at ho was awkward, so he paid extra attention to care for her.
Moreover, Maya didn’t beco spoiled just because of the kindness she received, remaining as low-key as possible, yet Liam still watched her like a hawk.
At this mont, the eldest sister suddenly sat beside Maya, holding her little hand, and said, "Maya, such a keen mind! You even scored full marks."
Beside them, Hannah and her mother, hearing Jane Spencer praise her, their faces looked even worse, utterly foul.
Originally, she wanted Maya to stay at the bureau for ten days to a half month, but surprisingly, Liam had already brought her out, keeping it perfectly secret from the Old Master.
The ticulous plan spanning over a month turned out to be in vain, and this Little Demon even scored full marks on the test. She was suspicious whether Liam had given her the test paper in advance.
Even if that were true, she dared not voice it, for anything about Liam was not sothing she could comnt on recklessly.
Listening to the elder sister’s complints, Maya carefully glanced at soone, a small smile forming on her lips as she replied, "It’s all thanks to my third brother. He taught well."
Maya’s words served a dual purpose, appeasing Liam by giving him face, while subtly reminding grandpa of the previous agreent. Now that she had not only surpassed Elia but also achieved full marks, it was naturally ti to send the third brother back to the Owen Family.
But Liam, hearing her flattering remarks, didn’t feel pleased at all. Instead, his face grew increasingly grim, his patience with Maya nearly at its limit.
Her little sches he knew all too well; driving him out in public like that—if not for the fact that there were many family mbers present—he would certainly have questioned her thoroughly about who gave her the audacity to plot against him.
The Old Master Spencer, listening to Maya’s complints directed at soone, sighed deeply and said helplessly, "Yes! Your third brother is talented, but it’s a pity he won’t contribute to the Spencer Family."
He then looked at Liam and said, "Liam, the task grandpa assigned to you is complete. Go and take care of your own business."
"Okay!" Liam nodded in agreent, his eyes remained fixed on soone, his face cold enough to freeze.
The atmosphere in the living room was odd, so odd that Maya felt chilled to the bone. She swallowed and said to Old Master Spencer, "Grandpa, I haven’t organized my luggage yet, I will go back to my room first."
Even though the living room was large and no one else noticed anything unusual, she could tell soone was about to explode. To avoid getting caught in it, she found an excuse to escape first.
After all, her goal was achieved, grandpa had given the nod, so there was no point in staying longer. Hence, she opted to retreat.
In her bedroom, she lay on the bed, thinking about how she was about to escape Liam’s clutches. She grabbed the pillow beside her, clutched it tightly to her chest, and exhaled a long breath, feeling imnsely relieved!
A mont later, her bedroom door was pushed open. Hearing the noise, Maya imdiately sat up from the bed and looked towards the door, only to see Liam standing there, expressionless, staring at her aningfully.
"Why didn’t you knock before coming in?" She frowned and asked.
"Maya, good performance, using grandpa to get out of the Spencer Family. It seems I’ve been too lenient with you." As he spoke, Liam locked the door behind him.
Seeing his actions, Maya quickly got up from bed, walked to the desk, and fidgeted with her books, a bit guilty as she explained, "I don’t understand what you’re talking about, besides, we have completed grandpa’s task, isn’t this the result you wanted to see?"
When Maya felt guilty or uncertain, she would usually speak a bit more.
He looked at her guilty appearance, approached her from behind leisurely, stretched out his right hand, and clasped her neck. Bending down, he leaned close to her ear and asked, "Maya, don’t feel guilty! Are you in such a hurry to get rid of because you’ve set your sights on a new target and want to make a move on the second brother?"
Thinking of that man stroking her head and holding her hand, it infuriated Liam. What made him most angry was how this woman didn’t even resist, not understanding that people weren’t thinking about things the way he was.
Listening to his mockery and questioning, Maya lifted her small hand, grabbed his strong wrist, and said impatiently, "Do you think everyone is as shaless as you?"
"Shaless? Drop your hypocritical facade, do you think Kinsley will fall for it?" Thinking about Henry beside her, his mood worsened.
"Kinsley isn’t like you; he wouldn’t do such excessive things to ." Maya initially planned not to engage in any disputes with him and peacefully spend the last day, but he never let her be and kept picking on her. She didn’t want to tolerate it anymore.
"Excessive?" Hearing her call him excessive, Liam slightly increased the pressure of his large hand on her neck, forcing her little face to turn towards him,
Maya, utterly enraged.
Since that night, whenever he saw her, he bullied her like this. She detested his lack of respect but couldn’t beat him nor push him away.
She reached out to push him, but her hands were pinned down by his left hand, leaving her unable to move.
"Maya! Are you taking a nap?" Suddenly, a knock ca on the door, along with Kinsley’s voice.
