"Maya, can we talk, please?" Jas Bennett still wanted to talk to Maya Spencer, hoping she’d understand his past with Madelyn Hanson and stop hating him so much.

After realizing Maya was his daughter, Jas was so excited he couldn’t sleep for several nights. In his 46 years, he had never felt such excitent and joy. He thanked all the gods for giving Maya to him.

However, Maya’s dislike for him made him extrely uncomfortable, left him in utter despair, and he was even willing to give his life to Maya if it ant she wouldn’t hate him.

Unfortunately, this guy didn’t appreciate it at all. She only thought about using her own life to avenge him, making him restless for life. Maya’s decision, such harsh words, left Jas crushed.

He couldn’t accept it; he wanted to reconcile with Maya, wanted to care for her well, wanted to repay the years he owed her, doubly if he could. But why was it so difficult?

Maya saw Jas taking advantage after dinner, wanting to talk with her again, trying to move her with his sad story. Maya was furious, so furious she ground her teeth.

So, she sneered and said, "Jas Bennett, do you think you can act pitiful in front of , say a few nice words, claim you’re helpless and I’ll believe you? The only way I’d believe you is if I’m dead."

Maya was in a bad mood, so her words were extre, as if she wanted to anger soone to death.

"Maya, I don’t want to explain anything; I wasn’t helpless. I did like your mother; neither of us wanted what happened. I know I’m indebted to you, indebted to Madelyn, but I want to make ands. I really want to do sothing for you," Jas pleaded guiltily.

"Ha, you didn’t want it? Did you really not want it? I saw how much more carefree you were afterward. Do you even rember who my mom is? Did you care that you caused her to have an unexpected pregnancy?"

"You want to do sothing for ? Jas Bennett, open your eyes; do I even need you? Let tell you, I’m living well now. I have my uncle, Liam Spencer, I have limitless money, and lots of friends; I need nothing, I haven’t needed you for a long ti."

If you truly want to do sothing for , then please stay away from , don’t appear before ; I’d be grateful. Just return my peaceful life to , stop daydreaming about reclaiming such a grown daughter. Did you ever fulfill your duties as a father for even a day? Where were you when I needed a father? So please don’t bother again and don’t co near ."

Maya was right; she’s doing well now. She doesn’t need Jas Bennett to do anything for her. Instead, his appearance only disrupted her life and made her resent Liam Spencer.

But Jas just wanted to acknowledge this daughter, wanted to keep her by his side, he really did.

So he asked pitifully, "Maya, is there really no room for reconsideration? Do you really hate this much? Won’t you give yourself a chance to know ?"

Jas realized he hadn’t been of any help to Maya, saw her say she doesn’t need him, and felt deeply saddened yet couldn’t change her perception of her.

Maya looked at the pitiful man and was filled with anger; she disliked Jas Bennett seeking sympathy like this.

Thus, she was too lazy to entangle herself in this topic any longer. Suddenly, she stood up from the sofa, walked to the door, and gripped the door handle, angrily saying, "Open the door and let out."

"Maya!"

"Open the door!"

At this mont, Liam Spencer was already driving quickly toward Jas Bennett’s villa; he couldn’t wait to see Maya.

Jas Bennett saw that Maya wasn’t listening to persuasion at all. Her anger had subsided quite a bit since earlier, and he didn’t want to provoke her further either.

So he calmly said, "Fine! I’ll take you back."

Hearing Jas offer to take her back, Maya rolled her eyes at him indifferently. She wouldn’t let Jas Bennett take her back, but she wasn’t foolish either, nor did she reject him. She feared that if she did, he wouldn’t open the door for her.

Seeing Maya’s silence, Jas thought she was choosing to take a step back, willing to accept him taking her ho.

So, without further thought, he opened the door.

But as soon as he opened the door, Maya pulled it wide and ran out of the bedroom.

Maya bolted away, and Jas quickly understood her intentions, realizing she hadn’t refused him only as a tactic. She hadn’t genuinely wanted him to take her.

Seeing her run away, Jas imdiately chased after her, grabbed her wrist, and said, "Maya, don’t be troubleso, I’ll take you back."

Though Maya wasn’t as irritable as before, Jas still couldn’t trust her to drive herself.

"Don’t touch ; I don’t need you to take back." Maya forcefully shook off his arm, not intending to accept his kindness.

"Maya, if you don’t listen, don’t bla for locking you back inside." They were in the corridor, pushing and shoving, causing a commotion all the way to the staircase.

Maya didn’t want Jas to take her back; Jas insisted on taking her back, leaving the situation in a stalemate.

After several rounds, Maya again shook off Jas’ hand grasping her arm, extrely impatiently shouted, "Who do you think you are? Stay away from ."

With that, Maya stepped toward the stairs.

Seeing this, Jas stopped arguing, instead grabbed her wrist, holding it, and led her downstairs.

The mont Jas grabbed her, Maya exploded, without thinking, she raised her arm and pushed Jas away.

At this mont, the two were standing at the top of the stairs; after Jas was pushed by Maya, he couldn’t keep his balance and tumbled down the stairs with a loud "bang."

Instantly, Maya stood there stunned, she only wanted to push Jas away, who knew it would cause him to fall.

At this ti, Liam Spencer happened to walk into the hall. The mont his eyes fell on Maya, he saw her push Jas.

In that instant, Liam was also stunned; he watched Jas tumble down the stairs and then ran toward the stairwell.

The dostic servants who saw Maya push Jas also went silent after Jas fell; the villa turned completely quiet, and the chattering discussions disappeared, leaving only the sound of Jas tumbling down "thud, thud, thud" from upstairs.

When Jas fell, his head made a loud "bang" against the wall corner at the bottom of the stairs, and blood began to spread across the floor imdiately.

At this mont, Liam Spencer just reached the staircase.

Seeing Jas lying on the ground, he hurriedly crouched down and asked, "Chairman Bennett, are you still conscious?"

Hearing Liam’s voice, Jas struggled to open his eyes, smiled, and said, "I’m fine; Maya didn’t an it."

As soon as he finished speaking, his eyelids drooped.

Spoiler: Maya and the third brother won’t be tortured later; it’s already wrapping up, ending next month. Try to write so sweet extras.
