"Maya, don’t hold too much hope for Liam, I won’t let him take you away." Jas said, sitting down next to Maya since she seed to be in a daze and emotional, he decided to accompany her.
anwhile, at Liam’s villa.
"Maya!" He called out as soon as he entered.
"Young master, young mistress left early this morning and hasn’t co back yet. She said she was going to the company to find you." Aunt Smith hurried forward to report seeing Liam co back alone.
"Looking for ?" Liam’s eyebrows knitted together upon hearing Aunt Smith’s words.
He was at the company all day today, but didn’t see Maya co to find him. Liam was at a loss, unable to guess what Maya was up to.
He took a deep breath, handed his coat to Aunt Smith, and imdiately dialed Maya’s phone.
Maya’s phone was on the other end, but no one answered.
After calling twice, Liam’s face grew uglier, wondering why she would suddenly disappear again.
Then he called Ella, who said she hadn’t seen Maya since separating from her at Seven’s engagent party yesterday.
Next, Liam called Seven and Sophia, but both said they hadn’t seen Maya.
Upon hearing Maya hadn’t been ho all day, Sophia quickly changed clothes and went out to look for her.
She had been at her own ho with her parents today, so she had no idea what was happening at Jas’ villa.
In the living room, Liam stuck his left hand in his pocket, held the phone in his right, biting his lower lip tightly, trying to figure out where Maya might have gone.
These days, his relationship with Maya had been harmonious. This morning, Maya was still clinging to his neck, acting coy, not wanting him to leave.
However, she seed a bit down today, pouting and not very happy since morning.
Liam didn’t pay attention at the ti, thinking Maya was just a little upset due to Seven and Christopher’s influence, not expecting her to disappear today.
Liam took a deep breath, desperately recalling what happened yesterday.
Yesterday afternoon, he and Maya went to Jas’ villa together, and Sophia unintentionally said that she and Jas were alike. On the way back, they discussed the issue of ’father’.
Thinking this, Liam’s heart sank, fearing Maya might have discovered sothing and gone to Jas to confront him, hiding because she felt bad.
So, Liam imdiately dialed Jas’ phone number again.
On the other end, Jas looked at Liam’s phone number and calmly said, "Liam, Maya is with , you don’t need to worry. I’ll send her back in a couple of days."
"Maya knows?"
"Yes!" Jas answered calmly.
Beside him, Maya heard Jas say he’d send her back in a couple of days, her hair stood on end with anger, reaching to grab the phone, but Jas was quick and hung up imdiately.
Liam heard the call abruptly cut off, sensed Jas’ heavy tone and his promise to send Maya back in a couple of days, instantly guessing they had a big fight and Maya was now held by Jas.
Liam knew Jas wouldn’t harm Maya, but who could guarantee Maya wouldn’t harm herself? No way would he agree to leave her with Jas for two days. He needed to get Maya back imdiately; he would only be at ease when she was with him.
If he had known earlier Maya would go to Jas to discuss the matter today, he would definitely have brought her to work with him.
But every ti only after things happened, people regretted it.
Putting away the phone, Liam donned his coat and drove towards Jas’ house.
Elsewhere, Sophia, unable to find Maya, also headed to Jas’ house, planning to ask her uncle for help.
This ti, in Jas’ bedroom, Maya saw Isaac hang up the phone, heard him asking Liam not to co, and was furious, standing up rapidly and rushing to the small living room, worried that Liam might really listen to Isaac and not co to get her; hence, she started acting up again.
As Maya stood up, Jas followed her.
Yet, just as Maya’s small hand reached for the door handle, the door opened. A servant who had just brought food in saw Isaac also in the bedroom, so didn’t lock the door.
Seeing the crack open, Jas ran over like the wind, slamd the door shut with a loud bang, and quickly latched it with a code lock.
Jas locked the door so fast that Maya didn’t react, losing a chance to escape.
As she realized she’d been locked up by Jas again, she slamd her small fists on his chest furiously, demanding, "What right do you have to hold ? What right?"
"I said I’d let you go when you cald down a little." Jas, being stubborn himself, allowed Maya to vent but wouldn’t relent, wouldn’t let her go or have her way.
"You have no right," Maya shouted at him indignantly.
"Perhaps not, but I have the ans. Maya, either you calm down and finish your al, and I’ll let Liam co get you." Jas started reasoning—but only for her own good.
Seeing Jas unyielding after she’d caused such a stir, Maya felt helpless.
So, she had no choice but to compromise.
Thus, she nodded, saying, "Fine, I’ll eat. Call Liam now and have him co get ."
After saying that, Maya walked to the small coffee table, sat on the sofa, pulled the platter closer, and began eating ravenously.
Seeing this little tiger finally backing off, Jas sighed in relief.
He had no other intentions, just didn’t want to see her ruin herself or joke about her own wellbeing.
Watching Maya devour the food, he quickly sat beside her, patting her on the back, saying, "Maya, eat slowly, have so soup."
Maya ignored the man’s caring gestures, focusing on eating, just wanting him to let her go quickly.
Jas, seeing her distraction, cautiously asked, "Maya, can’t we sit down and talk, can’t we forgive and move on?"
Hearing this, Maya found it laughable. No way, she didn’t have that level of grace to just forgive and move on.
Even though she was sarcastic inside, she chose not to argue with Jas further.
As she finished the food on the coffee table, she indifferently pulled a few tissues from the box and said, "Open the door, let go."
