A few quips quickly made Jack Stewart forget the feeling of tightness in his chest, and he seed to have relaxed a lot.
Except that his eyes were still slightly red.
"Hannah Winter, just wait until you have to do overti on set!"
As if infuriated, he threw down those words and left the room.
After a while, he ca back in and said dryly, "Don’t eat takeout, I ordered ho cooking for you, it’ll be delivered soon."
Hannah was focused on her ga, but she still responded, "Okay."
Jack paused for a mont before ultimately not saying anything more and closed the door behind him.
It was too quiet.
There was nobody in the hotel corridor.
The sorrow felt like it was sweeping over him again, enveloping everything.
His chest felt too stuffy, and peculiarly, his heartbeat was stronger than it had ever been before.
Jack took a deep breath and forced a smile, which was his usual expression, but his voice quivered as he tried to sound annoyed, "Eat, eat, eat, that’s all you ever do..."
The sound tapered off until it too was swallowed by the silence.

The outside world was quite surprised by Jack becoming a director.
Previously, many people were desperate to join The Kite’s crew, but now they were hesitant.
The main reason for the hesitation was because of the fans.
After all, in this day and age, fans are eager to draft up a career plan thousands of words long for their idol.
Basically, if they say no, it ans no. If the idol insists, then they boycott.
And they make a big fuss about it.
Hannah’s fans were pretty quiet, though. Emily Lynch led her fan club, and even though she was curious why Jack suddenly beca a director, they were friends, so there was no reason not to support him.
At most, they felt a bit uneasy.
Edison Lynch was also uneasy and nagged every day about visiting the set.
"I’ve been wondering why this guy has been acting so reford lately, speaking less effeminately, dressing less flamboyantly; turns out he’s ditched this brother of his for a new career," he grumbled.
Emily sat on the side, dealing with fan club stuff, not sparing even a glance for her own brother.
Roy Yarn was always quiet, but today he was even quieter, staring blankly at his phone, lost in thought.
Emily turned her head, saw the image on Roy’s phone, and was surprised, "This looks like... Louis Snyder, doesn’t it?"
The photo was a bit blurry and hard to make out; it must have been taken by a fan.
Emily couldn’t help but mutter, "His fans have been making quite a fuss with us, shalessly accusing our Hannah of maliciously leeching off his fa to gain popularity. Nonsense!"
Roy quietly replied, "That’s not good."
"Of course, it’s not good! But I shut those brainless fans up all by myself!" Edison ca over and smugly slapped Roy’s shoulder, "But this Louis Snyder has really been quiet lately, even his fan sites have cald down. He seems to have disappeared. The company denies it, claiming he’s just resting, but I don’t buy it."
Edison stroked his chin, pretending to be a detective solving a case, before Emily swatted his hand away.
"What rest? I think that guy’s up to no good, bothering our Hannah! The fans still babying a nearly twenty-year-old, calling him ’baby’ all the ti! What, is he a grown infant?"
Edison nodded in agreent, clenching his fists, filled with vigor, "Whether he’s resting or not, we can’t stop fighting back against the haters!"
There was no helping it; Louis’s fans were just too fanatical.
