"The phone call just now was from you, wasn’t it?"

Despite the abrupt question, Jimmy Simmons simply smiled, "As forr good brothers, so things should naturally be shared between us, like, for instance, having an extra uncle and aunt."

With a sly grin, Jimmy Simmons observed George River’s now furious expression and continued to pour fuel on the fire, "However, I can’t see how deep your feelings for my little ’aunt-in-law’ are. It’s just a pity, you’re no match for Arnold Simmons, and your loss is quite an ugly sight."

The recent incident would undoubtedly spread before long.

By then, no one would say that Arnold Simmons forcefully took soone else’s love; they would only laugh at Eldest Young Master River for not being able to win back his girlfriend, causing such a farce.

Just thinking about it made Jimmy Simmons’s mood exceptionally good.

What Jimmy Simmons had thought of, George River had naturally thought of too, only he didn’t regret what he had just done—what he cared about was Hannah’s attitude.

But not regretting it didn’t an he could tolerate Jimmy Simmons’s mockery and ridicule.

"Why must you speak of ? It seems your current situation with the Simmons Clan isn’t too good either, right?"

That one sentence hit Jimmy Simmons where he cared most.

Cold light flashed in Jimmy Simmons’s eyes, but he quickly regained his composure, adopting an indifferent look that truly resembled a frivolous young master, "It seems you’re well-inford about the Simmons Family. Indeed, if you weren’t, you wouldn’t have attempted to take advantage of the situation to take over Simmons Corp. You’ve got quite the appetite."

George River snickered dismissively, "Whether it’s successful or not, Simmons Corp. has nothing to do with you anymore."

Under Old Sir River’s strict guidance, George River was often the very picture of a qualified heir—smart, although sowhat aloof, which wasn’t seen as a disadvantage for a gentleman from a prominent family.

But this sharp-tongued deanor was rare for him.

It seed that Arnold Simmons had indeed angered George River considerably.

The two went back and forth, sparing no courtesy in their words, each thrust of language targeting the other’s vulnerabilities.

What George River cared about now was that Hannah had beco Arnold Simmons’s woman, while Jimmy Simmons cared about the fact that Simmons Corp. was still under Arnold Simmons’s control.

In a way, their hatred overlapped to a certain degree.

All due to Arnold Simmons.

In the end, Jimmy Simmons forcibly cald himself down, idly swirled the red wine in his glass, found it uninteresting, and set it aside, "George River, how about we cooperate?"

A brief silence ensued.

George River spoke, "How do you want to cooperate?"

Jimmy Simmons looked over, a curve forming at the corner of his mouth, "You want the person, I want the company. This deal doesn’t sound bad, does it?"

Whether it was Jimmy Simmons or George River, neither could outmatch Arnold Simmons on their own, but if they considered a different approach...

If they worked together, they might actually stand a chance of winning.

The only question was if George River would really take a risk for Hannah?

This was Hank Ward’s biggest concern, and he almost raised it imdiately as the person left.

Jimmy Simmons, however, was already lightly laughing, relaxed and seemingly enjoying his wine with ease. His mind had already weighed the options, "Given George River’s personality, the fact that he dared to openly challenge Arnold Simmons and compete for the person proves one thing—he’s serious."

It couldn’t be denied that, after many years of close friendship, Jimmy Simmons really did understand George River.

George River had indeed made up his mind: he was going to get the person back, and today’s ’drunken commotion’ was just the beginning.

After pausing for a second, Jimmy Simmons’s smile deepened, with a trace of profound cunning in his eyes.
