However, there are inevitably people like Jackie Qualls and Louis Snyder who just can’t seem to get along from the start.

Fortunately, Jackie had to leave yesterday due to other engagents.

Finally, Louis Snyder saw the opportunity to approach Hannah, but every ti he was stopped by Hayes Edwards.

Hayes Edwards is not Jackie Qualls, he doesn’t have Jackie’s pretentious gentle mask and is more straightforward. He is not burdened with maintaining an idol’s image and speaks his mind.

If Louis Snyder’s facade is more like the obedient student in the eyes of the school teacher - hardworking, kind, and harmless - Hayes Edwards is more like the school bully, arrogant and rebellious.

Occasionally, Hayes says sothing that almost makes Louis Snyder break out in laughter.

"I found this kid annoying ever since we were on set together. Regrettably, everyone else seems to like him. I an, he’s an adult who behaves like a little brother."

Hayes Edwards sat down with a look of annoyance.

Hannah took a sip of water and laughed, "He is only nineteen, still quite young."

"You’re defending him?" Hayes Edwards looked hurt, "Hannah Winter, be honest with , are you attracted to him?"

Now, he looked like a victim of abandonnt by her husband, just stopping short of crying, his eyes full of resentnt.

"Surely, I knew it. You won are so fickle, calling for your sweetie yesterday, you’ve fallen for soone else today."

Hannah stayed silent, watching him rant.

Halfway through, he disgusted himself.

Hayes looked over at Hannah, she seed to be daydreaming, wanting to say sothing but holding back.

The sun set, and suddenly the village beca lively, the villagers heard that they were leaving tomorrow and prepared a farewell feast.

It was as if the sleepy valley had suddenly awakened, with firecrackers, chatters, and intrusive lights reflecting off the landscape.

This lively scene was incredibly warm, even the breeze coming from the village seed heated.

Just like that year.

Returning from the border, behind her lay a scene of carnage, in front of her, the admiration of thousands.

Perhaps for a mont, she was imrsed in such emotions.

But only for a mont.

Louis knocked on the door, looked at Hannah, and said gently, "Sister, Director Quach wanted us to co over. The farewell banquet is about to start."

After all, it was the villagers’ goodwill, and George Quach couldn’t refuse.

Hannah nodded, stood up, and walked out.

As she passed Louis, he looked up at the man behind Hannah and obediently called out, "Brother Hayes Edwards."

Hayes Edwards looked cold and extrely snobbish, "I’m not your brother."

The atmosphere turned awkward.

Louis’s smile froze at the corner of his mouth, his eyes radiating a pitiful aura, his gaze seeking help was fixed on Hannah standing aside.

Hannah glanced at him, a smile spreading across her eyes, her soft voice as if cooing, yet her words chilled Louis, "Well, Brother Hayes Edwards is hot-tempered. You should give him so leeway."

Hayes Edwards grunted a bit, but in the end, he didn’t say anything because Hannah had spoken.

Louis’s smile broadened, his head down, his long eyelashes concealing his expression. "Sister, of course, I will listen to you. I’m sorry, Brother Louis Snyder."

"No!" Hayes Edwards quickly stepped away, "Don’t apologize to , if others see it they might think I bullied you."

Luis lifted his head, his smile delicate, yet his eyes reflected the shattered radiance of broken glass, lips slightly pale.
