Golden Lotus sighed impulsively, flipping herself over to lie face up on the tabletop. Her short leg dangled in mid-air, swinging back and forth.

She was lounging around, watching Hannah apply her makeup.

These were the final two days of filming in the mountains, and the schedule was exceptionally tight.

Even so, Louis Snyder still managed to find occasions to spar with Jackie Qualls now and then.

The underlying tension and biting exchanges between the two were evident to everyone on the set, causing them to instinctively retreat from that "danger zone" whenever the two squared off.

And they squared off again.

The youth wore an innocent and harmless smile, playing perfectly the role of a humble junior.

That is, if you chose to disregard the animosity in his eyes.

He quirked his lips into a frosty smile, "Mr.Qualls, you are a senior in the field. I have great respect for you, given the many years you’ve been acting in the industry. Despite the fact that we’ve only t a few tis, I couldn’t possibly trouble you."

Each word Louis Snyder said seed to carry an invisible barb, each one targeting the heart of Jackie Qualls with unerring precision.

The implication was clear: Stop ogling your juniors because you’re older and senior. Don’t ddle with young people’s affairs.

Despite the veiled attack, Jackie Qualls maintained his gentry-like deanor, replying with a polite and warm air, "As a senior, it’s my duty to care for my juniors. You don’t have to feel guilty about it."

There was a chill in Louis Snyder’s forced smile; his eyes hardened, "I’m curious to know what sort of ’care’ you’re referring to, Mr.Qualls."

Jackie Qualls rely smiled faintly, his gaze briefly falling on Hannah in the distance.

Afraid of the heat and worn out from the sun, she was taking refuge under a large tree, her pale skin contrasting with her red lips. Holding a small fan, she was listlessly fanning herself.

Bringing his gaze back, there was a tender smile on his face, "The kind of care you’re thinking about, of course."

His words clearly struck a nerve with Louis Snyder, who clenched his fists as if ready to strike at any mont.

The deeper his smile got, the more intense his malice.

The tension between the two built until it was palpably nearing breaking point.

The crew had long since cleared out, none daring to eavesdrop or get involved.

One was a bankable movie star and the other, a wildly popular rising star; neither could be affronted.

With a sardonic laugh, Louis Snyder bit back icily, "Mr.Qualls, you’re almost thirty. Doesn’t it embarrass you to talk like this?"

Undisturbed, Jackie Qualls responded calmly, "It’s because I’m older that I have a clearer understanding of what I want and what I can let go of."

Neither willing to back down, they circled around each other like two prickly hedgehogs.

"I see." Louis Snyder sneered, "I guess only shaless people would brazenly confess their love online. Do you even realize how much trouble you’ve caused Hannah?"

Jackie Qualls furrowed his brow, finally displaying so emotion, "That was not my intention."

"And what, pray tell, was your intention, Mr.Qualls?" Louis Snyder pressed, his tone hardening significantly.
