The car window rolled down, revealing the man’s handso, deep profile. He sidelong glanced at the girl, his eyes resting upon her sparkling catlike eyes.

"Mr. Simmons, have you been so enchanted that you can’t get a decent night’s rest, dreaming about this tiny temptress?" she said, cradling her lower face, blinking and smiling.

Arnold shifted his gaze, suppressing his smile, and said, in his usual indifferent manner, "Get in."

Hannah retracted her hand and watched Arnold’s profile for several seconds before climbing sulkingly into the passenger seat from the other side.

The car door closed with a "bang".

The inside of the car grew quiet for a while; Hannah held her arms, puffing out her cheeks, seemingly upset about sothing.

The girl had rushed out. At first glance, her makeup still looked exquisite. But upon closer inspection, her lipstick was slightly sared, blending into her fair skin with a soft hint of radiance.

Arnold was itching to point it out, but he rembered Hannah cared about her face. And if he told her directly, she would undoubtedly throw a fit.

The car started.

Hannah leaned against the car door, the cool nightti breeze brushing through her hair like seaweed undulating in the sea.

She swept stray hair behind her ear and turned to look at the man beside her, "Mr. Simmons, where are you taking ?"

Hannah did not recognize the route; she noticed there seed to be fewer and fewer vehicles and pedestrians as they went.

The night wind was strong, scattering the girl’s voice, yet the soft sound still reached the man’s ear.

Arnold looked forward at the road. In the small space, his voice beca even deeper, "Selling you."

Hannah paused for a mont then looked at Arnold and laughed, "Then rember, Mr. Simmons, to sell to a good family. Ideally, one that owns mines, so they can casually drop a few million on ."

Arnold chuckled, "Quite ambitious for soone so young."

Hannah closed the car window, amplifying the charming tone of her voice in the enclosed space. "Mr.Simmons, I’m not that young."

Arnold’s grip on the steering wheel tightened, and he slamd on the brakes.

The traffic lights.

He couldn’t resist turning to look at Hannah, who was leaning against the seat like a cat, completely boneless. The tight black dress accentuated her slender waistline, beneath which were two long, delicate white legs.

And above...

Dainty collarbones and tender skin.

Modern young girls develop pretty well.

The next second, he heard a soft and gentle voice next to him, "Mr. Simmons, I’m already twenty, just like you said. I’m not young anymore."

An unspoken thought stalled in the man’s eyes and stayed on his lips for a mont.

The car started again.

Hannah started speaking seemingly to herself, "Mr. Simmons, honestly speaking, if you can really help find a decent family and it’s nothing immoral, maybe I could accept it. As you know, everyone in our line of work needs a financial backer."

Her voice serious if not for Arnold’s understanding of the kind of person she was, he might have believed her.

"Really want to find that reliable support?" Arnold blurted enlightened by her words.

Hannah eagerly nodded, calculating on her fingers, "Of course, Mr. Simmons! As you know, I’m joining a talent show and it costs big bucks to participate. When the ti cos, all the other canaries will have their own financial backers, and even if I’m the most attractive, without any backing, it will be for naught."
