Hannah gave a soft laugh, nodding her head without stopping Jack, who was earnestly planning her future career.
The lemon water in her glass had nearly emptied, leaving a few ice cubes clinking against the sides. The cool condensation gathered like a thin mist on her slender, pale fingers.
She propped up her head, her gaze fixed intently on the fervently chattering boy opposite her. A light smile played on her petal-like, pale lips, like dew on a flower in the morning. She nodded occasionally, responding to Jack’s assurances.
"Hannah, just trust on this. I am going to make you famous worldwide, the dream lover of every man and woman. We’ll beat both genders! That’ll serve that loser!"
Having talked till his mouth was dry, Jack ordered another glass of lemon water from the attendant. After finishing it, the two of them finally left.
Holding a small umbrella with roses, Jack went to school with Hannah. All along the way, he kept talking non-stop.
He urged Hannah not to care about the mindless people online. He promised he’d find the best hacker to break into their forum, leaving them all naked and humiliated. Nobody would dare to boast then.
Engrossed in their conversation, they ca across a young couple leaving the hospital across the road. The girl looked sowhat pale with her hand resting on her belly, the guy at her side was gently comforting her, while carrying a bag of dicine.
Hannah observed them for quite a while.
Quickly noticing her gaze, Jack asked, "Watching sothing?"
"Them," she replied, hands in her pockets, chin lifted ever so slightly. Her eyes lingered on the young couple.
Jack, being a little nearsighted, squinted to get a clearer view, "Isn’t that guy from our school? What’s his na...Kay Kylan!"
Jack was very social and knew a lot of people.
Hannah didn’t know this boy nad Kay, but she knew the girl next to him.
