At this point, his eyes lit up a little.

"You’ll be twenty years old in a few months, you’re not a two-year-old child." Hannah adjusted her angle, but even the moonlight couldn’t help her see her own reflection in the mirror.

She was sowhat displeased, her expression cooling slightly. She looked at the young man next to her, "I’m busy, busy making money, busy winning over people, not living for anyone. If you’re so starved for love, find yourself a nanny."

Louis Snyder was taken aback, the glow in his eyes seed to be swallowed by the night, his face clouded in gloom. He forced up the corners of his mouth, trying to smile, but it was all in vain.

Desolation enveloped him completely.

He revealed his most vulnerable side, obedient and harmless. The look of dependence in his eyes seed strikingly pure, like that of a child. The bitter smile on his face was heartbreaking.

Had his fans seen this, they would have been devastated, hating nothing more than not being able to hold him in their arms and console him, even if it ant plucking stars from the sky.

But all this fell into Hannah’s eyes, and at most, she would remark — good performance.

The boy wore a pristine and beautiful shell, but in reality, his heart, and even his entire being, was thoroughly tainted.

The obedient little lamb everyone believed him to be, was nothing more than a ravening wolf in sheep’s clothing.

"Sister," he gently called, not in a hurry when he didn’t get a response from Hannah, "Hannah, it’s okay. You’ve taken care of for so long. Now it’s my turn to take care of you."

The young man’s expression was not fake.

But Hannah didn’t offer any response. She just smiled at the person before her, seemingly waiting for his following words.

Louis’s expression softened more and more, "Hannah, I can earn money on my own now. You always said you wanted to buy a house by the sea, I have money now. Anything you want, I can give you..."

He seed to have fallen into so beautiful fantasy. Everything he said was once the most frequently recited words by Hannah by his side.

She always loved to picture her future, not needing to be rich, just a quiet place, her own house, living a simple life, staying with the one she loved.

Even just that would be wonderful.

She would be a perfect housewife, taking care of her beloved and their child.

She ntioned this often, but, in the end, all she received was mockery from the young man, who probably found such thoughts absurdly humble.

This was well reflected in the original story’s interaction between Hannah Winter and Louis Snyder.

Young, beautiful girls always imagine overcoming life’s difficulties with the boys they love, running towards a beautiful life together. Unbeknownst to them, their presence is the difficulty in the eyes of the boys they love.

Sad and laughable.

Louis spoke earnestly and happily, his eyes filled with joy as he looked at Hannah by his side, waiting for her response.

She smiled faintly, interrupting his words and shattering his beautiful fantasy, "Louis, what did you want to say?"

Her smile was charming and beautiful, but her eyes were chilling to the bone.

Louis averted his gaze, pretending not to see, suppressing the bitterness in his heart, his voice filled with self-loathing, "Hannah, I’m just afraid..."
