"Maybe he just didn’t pay attention."

"Well, he is indeed ’lucky’ then, in such a vast world, to actually end up falling headfirst into a fertilizer barrel."

After everyone spoke, they couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

The village was lively tonight. Looking up, you could see the glaring lights on the simple stage, and the noisy shouts and soone yelling into a microphone.

It was said to be a village custom to gather and do activities at this ti, to pray for a good weather in the coming year.

The village head had specifically invited the show’s crew to visit - an event that would last for several days.

George Quach thought it would be a good opportunity to record so more material and so, along with most of the staff, took the equipnt over. Hilary Quin and Owen Hanson also took so children to join in the fun. Even the usually event-shunning Jas Landon unusually ventured out of his room to seek inspiration elsewhere.

Matthew Quach, not interested in the bustling activities, only wanted to stay by Hannah’s side to protect her, but was still fooled into leaving by her.

Peace finally returned to the yard.

Louis Snyder ca back, spotting Hannah right away in the courtyard.

The night was moonless, the deep blue night sky was only marred by heavy, red-tinged black clouds, occasionally a cool breeze would waft over carrying the cold moisture in the air.

Hannah kicked at the weeds in the corner of the wall, frowning, seemingly sowhat impatient, "If you don’t co out, I’m leaving."

She seed to be talking to herself, there was no response in the night apart from the wind.

"If you don’t co out, I won’t look for you again."

She hugged her arms, her eyebrows furrowed and a bit of anger leaked into her voice. A flush rose to her cheeks, giving her an attractive appearance of petulance.

Vincent hesitated, still holding a struggling mouse in his hand.

Hannah forbade him to eat it, saying that he would turn into a fool if he did.

But he was already a fool.

Hannah was nice to him, gave him lots of delicious things, but he couldn’t bear to eat them. He stored them all carefully. Sotis, when he was really hungry at night, he would take them out just to sll them, not daring to touch them.

But now, Hannah was angry and even said she wouldn’t look for him again.

Vincent was a bit panicked, but he found the light outside too bright. It’s glaring like the sun, able to illuminate every part of him.

He was like a creature that lived in the dark, instinctively rejecting the sunlight.

Hannah was waiting for him.

Vincent moved his fingers, he was about to reach out his hand, but then he heard footsteps.

He quickly withdrew his hand like a creature that has been burnt by the sun, didn’t even have the courage to look outside, slid out through the dog hole and instantly ran off.

The firewood that he had pulled down covered the hole.

Louis Snyder walked over, glanced at the pile of firewood on the side, looked at the person in front of him, and smiled, "Sis, who are you talking to?"

Hannah ignored him, still staring at that spot, "A disobedient dog."

Vincent, who hadn’t gotten too far away, tripped at her words and fell face-first onto the ground. The mouse, that was tightly grasped in his hand, also ran off.

He felt wronged, not for his lost "dinner", but for Hannah’s words.

Worried that Hannah really was angry at him and wouldn’t co to find him again in the future, he feared he would return to being the fool that no one wanted to deal with before.

Vincent lay on the ground, pulling at his muddy clothes, looked at his hands that were so black he couldn’t make out their original color, and suddenly tears welled up in his eyes.
