The little butterfly was arrogantly cold and didn’t talk to anyone, not even those who tried to help her. She seed impatient.
Not until Matthew Quach and Hannah walked over, did her eyes light up suddenly.
Perhaps, she was shy seeing Matthew’s still youthful yet handso face.
When she saw Hannah standing there, she was caught off guard, then looked away, muttering sothing under her breath.
It was hard to tell what she said, but most would assu it wasn’t pleasant. She probably learned the harsh words from the adults, showing off a bit of arrogance.
Phoebe Sherton started crying and rushed over to Hannah as soon as she saw her. She clung to Hannah’s legs, sobbing, "Sister, she just called my dress ugly."
She was telling on the little butterfly.
The little butterfly was scared, but she stiffened up, unwilling to back down.
When she saw Hannah coming towards her and her aunt nowhere to be seen, her anxiety intensified. Gritting her teeth, she maintained, "It is ugly. I’m not lying."
Wearing a princess dress at her age, how embarrassing it is.
Hannah didn’t crouch down but leaned over instead, with little specks of sunshine reflecting in her eyes, "You’re the little butterfly?"
Phoebe peered out from behind Hannah, grasping her hand as she looked at the little butterfly.
Upon receiving a glare from her, Phoebe couldn’t help but shed a tear.
With a huff, the little butterfly retorted, "Yes, that’s . What, are you here to defend her? I’m not afraid of you. Although you look good now, I will be more beautiful when I grow up."
At this point, the little butterfly seed sowhat unsure.
She secretly glanced at Hannah’s face again, thinking that probably only fairies from the sky could look so beautiful.
She was envious in her heart, and worried if Hannah would scold her on behalf of that teary-eyed little girl.
She wasn’t pleased at all.
To her surprise, Hannah stood up straight and waved back, "Matthew, co over here."
The little butterfly turned to look, seeing the young boy walking towards her, she blushed.
Children at this age often don’t get the concept of admiration, they just want to show their best side to soone they find attractive.
That was also what the little butterfly thought.
Matthew walked over, his face expressionless, "What do you want to do?"
Hannah rubbed Phoebe’s head and said, "The little butterfly said Phoebe’s dress is ugly."
Matthew couldn’t figure out what Hannah intended to do, so he looked at the little butterfly in front of him, who was blushing, and frowned, "I heard."
Hannah asked: "Do you like Phoebe’s dress?"
Her sudden change in direction, the smile in her eyes carried a hint of a threat.
Matthew looked at Phoebe, who was full of anticipation. Feeling cornered, he said coldly, "I do."
Hannah stifled a laugh but did not forget to comfort Phoebe, "See, Brother Matthew Quach likes your dress too. It must be pretty. You trust Brother Matthew Quach, right?"
Phoebe nodded fervently and turned to Matthew, "Brother Matthew Quach, if you like it, I have plenty more, I can share so with you."
Matthew pursed his lips, and after a long silence, he said, "...That won’t be necessary."
Watching the scene unfold in front of her, the little butterfly clenched her fists in frustration.
She was upset, suspecting that Matthew might like the crybaby Phoebe more than her. In a huff, she turned around and ran away.
She was going to tell her aunt.
Jas Landon ca over, seemingly relieved, "I thought you might scold her directly just now."
Hannah turned to him and laughed, "Why would you think that?"
