When Jackie Qualls looked back at the expectant Tiffany Lynch, his forrly distant manner returned, enhanced by a touch of cold indifference.
He only spoke two words, "Good luck."
Utterly indifferent.
In an instant, Jackie’s words wiped away Tiffany’s joy, leaving her no choice but to force a smile and bow in thanks.
The two left the stage, marking the end of today’s recording.
Tiffany walked ahead of Hannah and suddenly stopped, turning around to face her. "Hannah, look, I won against you again."
Hannah, upset about matters relating to Jackie Qualls, replied lazily, "Oh."
Tiffany assud Hannah was upset about losing to her. She laughed, "Hannah, there’s no sha in losing to . Jackie and I have known each other since we were young. I understand him, he’s always professional at work, he doesn’t favor anyone. So, you shouldn’t feel any resentnt."
Having said that, she laughed faintly and resud her high and mighty Eldest Miss deanor.
Hannah was sowhat distracted, looking at the one in front of her. "Since you’re so close, why don’t you tell Jackie that I really enjoy being a scapegoat. Have him treat harshly, just like the plot suggests. Humiliate with grade A roles, lead roles, and all kinds of resources."
She was indifferent to the male jerks in the plot.
Neither loved nor hated.
As for Jackie, who didn’t follow the plot, Hannah just felt annoyed.
Tiffany was boasting in front of her now.
Her mood worsened.
Tiffany, faced with Hannah’s sudden rant, was silent for a while. She looked at Hannah with contempt, "Hannah Winter, is there sothing wrong with you?"
Has Hannah gone crazy from being defeated by her?
Tiffany thought to herself.
Hannah glanced at her, sighed, "I don’t like you that much, but I’d be grateful if you could make Jackie act normal."
Having said that, Hannah walked away, leaving a confused Tiffany behind.
*
Hannah walked ahead with her head down, not looking where she was going, until she almost bumped into a wall of people, then she abruptly stopped.
She looked up at the man who suddenly appeared in front of her, frustrated. "What are you doing here?"
Hannah, in a Qipao on stage was breathtaking, but now, off the stage, appeared even more charming and lively.
Jackie Qualls gazed at the woman in front of him. His voice was gentle. "Waiting for you."
A faint smile played upon his face. His temperant was gentle and refined, always giving off a sense of calm indifference to the world. Standing like an orchid, smiling as the moon bathed him.
He was mature and elegant, indeed very likely to win a woman’s affection.
However, Hannah found him annoying, especially when rembering his strange attitude towards her and the missed grade A opportunity.
She smiled faintly. "Mr. Qualls, do you always put on this sham for everyone?"
Her voice was soft, but it carried a hint of pride.
Jackie Qualls was slightly taken aback, but his smile deepened instantly, "For others, yes, but you’re an exception."
Their conversation was adoring, his gaze, devoted.
Hannah frowned, "I rember you said I was beautiful the first ti we t."
Jackie Qualls nodded.
Hannah asked him, "Then why didn’t you give an A today?"
Jackie Qualls paused, considering that Hannah must have been very disappointed. After all, in that competition, from an overall perspective and according to everyone else’s reaction, Hannah undoubtedly deserved an A.
