She started laughing, her eyes bending like the moon in the sky.
Mother Edwards also laughed from the side, saying, "The two kids really have a good relationship."
Hayes Edwards thought, where is it good.
The next morning, the morning light pierced through the vast clouds on the horizon, from afar it looked like fluffy cotton candy pressing down, the outline of the sun vaguely visible.
The street was very quiet, and many breakfast shops had just opened. Among the rising steam was a rich aroma of food.
Grace Winter woke up early, sitting on the balcony, holding a cup of fresh milk, swaying her little feet.
Hayes Edwards was still lazing in bed, vaguely hearing soone calling his na.
"Hayes Edwards, get up!"
The voice seed to be right by his ear, soft yet very annoying.
He irritably muttered, "Don’t bother ." Then he turned over, using the pillow to cover his ears.
The world barely considered calm.
The next second, Hayes Edwards felt his blanket lifted away, a chill spreading over his body.
The usually grumpy Hayes Edwards was about to lose his temper, but when he opened his eyes, he t his father’s face.
"Still not getting up? Planning to sleep until when?" Father Edwards was definitely not as gentle as Mother Edwards when waking him up.
Hayes Edwards suppressed his temper and scratched his head, "Getting up now."
Father Edwards folded the blanket and put it aside, "Didn’t you agree with Grace to go see the ocean today? If you’re any later, you’ll only see people."
The short holiday was always a peak season for travel. Last night when they went, there were already many people; today, it’s expected to be no different.
"Hurry up, wash your face, change your clothes. Your mom and I are waiting for you outside."
"Got it."
Father Edwards left the room, and Hayes Edwards got up irritably and went to the bathroom.
He hadn’t changed his clothes, still wearing short-sleeved pajamas and shorts. Coming out of the bathroom, he t a pair of big round eyes at the door.
"Hayes Edwards, you got up?" she said quietly, as if afraid of waking the sleepy bugs, her eyes filled with bright laughter.
Hayes Edwards: "...So what is standing in front of you if I didn’t get up?"
"Right," Grace Winter responded slowly, "Hayes Edwards, we agreed yesterday to go see the ocean."
The ocean at night is nice, but not as clear as during the day, you can only hear the waves, so today they would go again.
This was sothing everyone had agreed upon.
Hayes Edwards was still grumpy from just waking up, feeling very annoyed, but tried to control his temper, "You go out first, I need to change clothes."
His tone was not good.
Grace Winter continued to smile sweetly, "Then I’ll wait for you outside."
Hayes Edwards didn’t respond, taking his clothes into the bathroom.
When they arrived at the place, Grace Winter dragged Hayes Edwards to build a sandcastle with her. She had brought tools, with small buckets and a shovel, looking very "professional."
Hayes Edwards was not interested at all.
He felt like he was just "taking care of kids" in a different place.
Grace Winter used the small shovel to fill a small bucket with sand.
She looked quite skilled.
Hayes Edwards sat beside her, watching, only feeling childish and bored.
"Hayes Edwards, why aren’t you playing?" Grace Winter looked at him.
Hayes Edwards said, "I don’t want to play."
Grace Winter blinked, putting the shovel in his hand, "You don’t know how, do you? I’ll teach you how to play."
Hayes Edwards: "..."
Then the two sat on the beach and played in the sand all morning.
