Looking soft and white, like a doll made of snow.
Just praised for being cautious, Mother Edwards: "..."
Grace Winter hugged the doll in her arms and took two small steps forward. Although her words were directed at all three people, her eyes stayed on Hayes Edwards, "Hello, welco to my house. My na is Grace Winter."
And just like that, the "very cautious" little Grace invited them into her house.
It turns out little Grace wasn’t babbling; her mother was really taking a big one in the bathroom.
Mother Winter was startled to see extra people in the house as she ca out of the bathroom.
Mother Edwards quickly stood up to explain, "It’s like this, we just moved in next door and ca over to say hi and get to know you. Oh, and we brought you a gift."
Father Edwards placed the gift on the table.
"I see, I’m really sorry, I didn’t hear anything earlier."
Mother Winter turned and saw her daughter staring at their son, instantly understanding the situation. However, she chose to not say anything about it in front of others.
Even though it was their first eting, the two mothers easily started chatting and soon planned a weekend shopping trip.
Mother Edwards had always wanted a daughter, and now looking at Grace, she liked her, especially with her soft and llow voice, smiling like a little sun.
"Your daughter looks so sweet. I was just thinking, if I had a daughter, she’d probably be like this."
Mother Winter smiled, "Not really, she’s usually quite a handful. Your son looks well-behaved and quite handso, more so than most kids."
The two mothers began exchanging complints, all sincere.
Father Edwards sat to the side, occasionally chiming in.
Hayes Edwards was very mindful of his handso image in public, maintaining perfect posture. Still, he couldn’t quite endure the little girl staring at him.
He was annoyed, so he turned his head and glared at her.
A very fierce gaze.
Who knew the little girl would pause for a mont, then burst into giggles, covering her mouth halfway through her laughter.
Hayes: "..." Could she be a little fool?
He disdainfully shifted a bit away, and the little girl followed and scooted closer, until he was on the edge of the couch and the little girl was still moving towards him.
Then Hayes just "plonk," fell to the ground.
Luckily, there was a carpet and sponge padding, so it didn’t hurt.
But the noise was loud enough to draw all the adults’ attention.
Well, all the cool kid atmosphere was gone now.
As he was about to get up, sothing heavy landed on him.
Grace imitated Hayes and fell straight on top of him, her upper body pressing on his, revealing her white teeth in a sweet smile.
Hayes looked at her, his eyes instantly red from frustration, forgetting about his cool-kid image, and burst into tears with a "waah".
All dignity was lost!
Seeing Hayes cry, Grace tilted her head, hesitated for a mont, and without understanding why, decided to cry along with him.
Soon, the children’s powerful sobs echoed throughout the house.
Mother Winter and Mother Edwards hurried to pick up their children.
Hayes sniffling, looked at the little girl crying tears across from him.
