Two people squatted together, whispering behind everyone’s back.

Sixth Hoffman couldn’t make heads or tails of the accounts with his fingers.

All Nicholas could do was shake his head and let them be.

Just at that mont, Arnold Simmons had also stepped out.

He always dressed in the sa long robe, his hair tied back, amiable and gentle, only when Hannah’s na was ntioned did he show a bit more of a common man’s touch.

"Hannah, is she okay?"

Nicholas had to soften his voice as he addressed Arnold Simmons, "Ahem, ahem, the word is that the boss and the others weren’t injured."

They, not she.

Because Arnold Simmons wasn’t the only one who had gone.

They all knew that, and naturally Arnold Simmons did as well.

Hard to define the feeling, it was just a sour and astringent tightness in the chest, dry eyes like wanting to cry, yet in the end they rely showed a smile, "As long as they’re alright."

Having said that, Arnold Simmons couldn’t help but cough twice more, his complexion pale as paper, his entire being radiating a sickly, tortured beauty.

His health had seed to deteriorate even more during this period.

Most likely, it was due to the erratic climate changes at the border, one mont scorching sun, the next a violent snowstorm, and not just Arnold Simmons with his naturally frail body, but even these rough n were starting to find it quite unbearable after a while.

Of course, overall, they were still faring much better than those Imperial folks across the way.

The most recent news Gregory Lawrence had gathered was that nearly all of the Empire’s regular combat squads had fallen, and even the well-trained ch-Infantry were starting to break down.

The pampered Imperials just couldn’t stand up to these rugged wanderers who dined in the wind and slept under the stars.

Knowing Hannah was safe, Arnold Simmons didn’t linger and stood up to depart. When he passed by Gregory Lawrence and Sixth Hoffman, Gregory Lawrence even took the initiative to greet him.

Arnold Simmons nodded slightly, as a response.

As the figure walked away and distanced itself, all that could be seen was a slender silhouette, like a pale bamboo, delicate yet upright, not bending in the slightest.

"To see such a graceful gentleman in this day and age is indeed a rarity."

"What’s so strange about that," Sixth Hoffman also watched Arnold Simmons leave, "Wait till you follow us and see more planets, you’ll et all sorts of people."

That was no lie.

Though Gregory Lawrence dealt in information, when it ca to the diversity of places visited, he might not necessarily have more experience than the wanderers.

Before Hannah beca their leader, Sixth Hoffman and Nicholas had already begun leading a group wandering from place to place; they had been almost everywhere except for a few major powers.

Many places wouldn’t allow them to stay for even a month before they were chased away.

There was no helping it, their refugee status was just too pitiful, like rats hiding in sewers, wherever they went, they were hunted.

Gregory Lawrence was aware of this. He was naive, curious, and always keen to learn more, so he asked, "Where is Arnold Simmons from?"

Sixth Hoffman, tired of squatting, simply sat on the ground with his legs crossed, "I think that place is called Fairy Forest."

Sixth Hoffman’s mory was a bit hazy.

"Fairy Forest!" Gregory Lawrence was familiar with the place.

There were many beautiful planets in the interstellar space, but the only one renowned as a paradise, with ancient charm, was Fairy Forest.

Of course, those who knew this were mostly from the older generation.

"It’s surprising that even such a planet could be targeted."

Gregory Lawrence shook his head and sighed.

Interstellar wars frequently erupted over energy sources and mineral resources, but Fairy Forest, with all its beauty, had no exploitable energy resources.
