Her expression was deeply aggrieved, revealing sharp little canines.

Archer withdrew his hand and cleared his throat twice, "It’s my fault."

He fought back a smile as he said this.

Because Hannah really did look like a spooked, ferociously adorable kitten.

She snorted and tried to act cool by crossing her arms.

Unfortunately, she was wearing too many layers of clothing and couldn’t manage to do it after several attempts, so she just clenched her fists angrily instead.

"Alright, I’m going out to clear the snow now. You stay good inside, no running around."

Hannah didn’t look at him, just showed him her round back, "You’ll be right at the door, where else could I go?"

That’s true.

Archer thought about it, then turned and left the house.

He only opened the door a crack, just enough to slip through before closing it imdiately.

Soon, the sound of snow being pushed aside could be heard from outside.

Hannah lowered her head, looking at her shadow.

The shadow showed a puffy cheek.

She grew more and more irritated.

So annoyed she stomped her foot, "Archer is a bad man!"

Just after she said this, two knocks ca from the outside door.

"I heard that."

It was Archer.

Hannah turned around and made a face at the closed door.

She had heard, but she wasn’t afraid.

After sulking alone for half a minute, Hannah could no longer keep still.

Not waiting for Archer to co in and coax her, she climbed on her own from the chair to the table by the window.

Outside, the snow continued to fall, a vast expanse of white, like a freshly unrolled scroll of heaven and earth, waiting for soone to inscribe upon it.

Hannah fogged up the window with her breath, then removed her gloves to write two words—Archer.

After writing, she continued to draw a devilish head on the right side.

Between them was an arrow pointing left.

It ant "Archer is a bad man."

Hannah had learned few curse words, all picked up from others.

Disaster, Sinner, Devil.

These were her.

The remaining "bad man" was reserved for Archer.

The window didn’t offer a view of where Archer stood, only the snowflakes he continuously pushed away.

Soone had been out the previous night, and footsteps should have been left on the snowy ground. But after the blizzard, nothing remained.

The house was warm, and Hannah thought about removing her scarf.

But as her hand moved, she t Archer’s gaze through the window.

He gestured at Hannah’s hand, mouthing for her to be good and not to take off her coat at random.

Hannah had to pull back her hand.

She leaned against the window, shouting with force, "Co inside quickly."

It was very cold outside.

Archer said he’d be right there.

Then he continued to shovel snow.

As if to clear a path.

Two minutes later, Hannah couldn’t sit still any longer.

She ran out as well.

Archer couldn’t stop her, only repeated his warning not to run around.

Hannah obediently nodded, then went off to play with the snow.

She threw a handful of snowflakes high into the air with all her might, and they all fell back onto Hannah’s head.

Archer had to put down his shovel and go help Hannah put on her hat properly, "We have to go back after playing a little longer."

Hannah said, "Okay."

She gave Archer her scarf.

Archer, worried she’d get cold, didn’t accept it.

Hannah then said, "If you get sick, there will be no one to cook tonight."

All the food at ho had been stored by Hannah, and Archer was a very gentlemanly and conscientious person.

He took care of the dostic chores and als in the stone cottage daily.

And had to tidy up the house that Hannah ssed up.

Archer could only take the scarf from Hannah and, turning around, continued to shovel snow.

Amid the frozen landscape, only their figures were visible.
