This ti, they were playing a ga that required online teaming up.
Late, Hannah joined them too.
Hannah was exceptionally good at it.
With each aim, she made sure the opponents stood no chance to counter.
Towards the end, Gregory Lawrence started to follow Hannah closely.
Wherever she went, he went.
Like tal Petal trailing behind Snow Giant.
The overall skill level of their opponents in this round was not very high.
Gregory Lawrence started making small talk with Hannah, "We’ve known each other for so ti now, and I haven’t even asked for your na."
"Hannah," Hannah said, focused on the screen in front of her.
The screen emitted a semi-transparent blue light.
It was a pity that they couldn’t find a gaming pod in District 9, or else they could have experienced a hundred percent imrsive gaming.
"Hannah?" Gregory Lawrence repeated the na, "Why does that na sound so familiar to ?"
Hannah, expertly handling her weapon, took out the opponent, "It’s just your imagination."
"Imagination?"
"Maybe you haven’t been sleeping well these past few days."
Upon hearing this, Gregory Lawrence found it quite reasonable.
Indeed, he had not been sleeping well the past two days.
The ga continued.
Gregory Lawrence selected one of the hottest gas.
A cha-type simulation combat ga.
It was also the most popular ga among starfolk.
Not everyone could own a cha in real life.
One reason was that piloting a cha required high psychic strength, at least an A-grade; the other reason was that the cost of a cha was very high, even the most basic model starting at a minimum of five hundred thousand coins.
That was the amount a normal family couldn’t save in a lifeti without spending on anything else.
"I heard soone even encountered Wayne Lane in it."
Gregory Lawrence temporarily set up four ga accounts.
After all, their identities were quite special now.
They were all considered "wanted criminals."
tal Petal asked curiously, "The War God Wayne Lane?"
Snow Giant answered, "The very sa."
tal Petal quietly glanced at their master’s expression.
Unchanged, as usual.
Hannah casually selected a silver-white cha.
The most basic kind.
Gregory Lawrence chose a red one.
Because it was the most conspicuous.
tal Petal and Snow Giant went for their usual black and white.
Even though it was just a ga, it was made very realistically; all the operating buttons were replicated from real chas on a one-to-one basis.
The opening scene was a battlefield of ice and snow.
Gregory Lawrence muttered, "How co this place looks like the border?"
Having grown up in District 9, he knew the terrain around there all too well.
The ga’s world not only had the cold borderlands but also the Blackwood Forest.
As the ga progressed into its second round, the sky outside had already darkened.
Relying on an account without any paid upgrades, Hannah had already won two consecutive rounds.
Carrying the whole team by herself.
Before long, voices ca from outside.
Initially, Gregory Lawrence didn’t want to pay attention, but the voices grew louder, sounding like soone had entered the inn.
Hannah suggested, "Should we go down and check?"
The voices seed like an argunt, yet also sowhat like crying.
After thinking it over, Gregory Lawrence said, "I’ll go down and take a look, you stay here."
Considering they were in District 9, it was better to be cautious.
Hannah nodded, advising him to be careful.
Gregory Lawrence went downstairs alone.
The inn’s soundproofing couldn’t be said to be good or bad; one could hear the voices from the first floor but couldn’t make out what was being said.
He could vaguely make out soone shouting excitedly.
It did not seem like a fight.
Otherwise, things would have started getting smashed by now.
tal Petal, always curious, was peering out the window looking down.
Unfortunately, from the window, one could only see the pitch-black street and the dazzling lights of the first floor.
