Penniless and still being hunted.

Hannah thought about it and realized it made sense, "Then, Master, why are you looking for Tree Star? Isn’t that the forr commander’s cha? Do you know her?"

She heard that was a very impressive figure.

It had been ntioned by Gregory Lawrence before.

If it weren’t for the forr commander, perhaps the entire royal family would have already been overthrown.

That person was a hero who could take on a hundred, even a thousand enemies alone.

It was the stuff of legends.

Hannah looked on with admiration.

Gregory Lawrence turned his head and, without a blush or skip of his heart, told a blatant lie, "I don’t know her."

Hannah wasn’t surprised, "Everyone says she’s dead, but who knows if it’s true or not. Since Gregory Lawrence said it’s not true, I also think it’s not true..."

Having only known each other for two days, Hannah and Gregory Lawrence had already ford a deep friendship.

So, before leaving the room, Gregory Lawrence sent Hannah over to Gregory Lawrence.

The two AIs had a great relationship; they never ran out of things to talk about when they t.

Thus, Hannah didn’t care at all about where her master was going.

As for Gregory Lawrence... he was sleeping soundly, oblivious to the fact that Gregory Lawrence had even opened the door.

...

Hannah descended the stairs.

The hunters had left that afternoon, and several rcenaries had taken their place.

In the Ninth District, hunters and rcenaries belonged to two different guilds.

The biggest difference between them lay in the types of tasks and the number of people involved in each mission.

The tasks issued by the Hunters Guild were primarily about finding things, whereas the rcenaries Guild mainly focused on hunting mutant beasts.

Due to the nature of their tasks, the number of participants also varied.

Hunters preferred to work alone; even for the most challenging tasks, a team wouldn’t exceed three people.

Conversely, rcenaries operated in groups; each mission typically consisted of around twenty people. They would have their own set teams, with a captain and a vice-captain to lead.

Their relationships were more complex, but it also ant greater safety during missions.

However, the reward was much less compared to the hunters who often worked alone.

The Hunters Guild and the rcenaries Guild were like two different choices: the forr had a higher risk but also higher rewards, while the latter had slightly lower risks but the reward had to be split among the team mbers, resulting in a smaller share for each.

When Hannah went downstairs, the stair inevitably made a creaking noise.

A few rcenaries who were chatting glanced over, their eyes lingering on the beautiful girl who seed unable to look away.

In the domain of the Ninth District, Hannah’s presence was like a clump of pure snow falling onto corrupted ground, innocently and harmlessly beautiful.

The leader of the n squinted slightly, his greed unhidden, but after a few more glances, he turned his attention back to urging his teammates to eat their at.

As Hannah passed the front desk, the dozy owner suddenly remarked, "Young lady, you should be more careful when you’re out alone."

Hannah nodded slightly and replied, "Thank you."

The owner continued to doze off, appearing to be in a state of reverie.

Whether he heard that thank you or not was anyone’s guess.

...

The Ninth District at night was even livelier than during the day.

The street market was adorned with colorful lights, casting vibrant reflections on the ground along the long alley.

Stalls were manned by both the elderly and children, all eagerly hawking their wares.

Most of the items traded were food.

This was the most important commodity in the Ninth District.
