The man subconsciously wanted to push back, his gaze averting.

Hannah said, "Don’t move."

The man really just stood still, not moving.

Hannah looked up at him.

At his eyes.

The mont their gazes t, the starlight in her eyes seed to pass to him.

Into his heart.

Beneath the mask, the man’s face turned red.

His ears also reddened, a faint layer of pink.

Hannah noticed and asked with a smile, "Do I look beautiful?"

The man’s hand holding the flower lantern tightened.

A breeze ca, tangling their lanterns together.

The pink light swayed gently.

The man found an opportunity, bowed his head to untangle the entwined lanterns, his voice soft, "Beautiful."

He bowed his head, his eyelashes casting a thin shadow at the bottom of his eyes.

Hannah also lowered her head to look at him, at his slender fingers on the lantern, and asked again, "Then do you like ?"

The man’s hands trembled, and the lanterns tangled even tighter, "I..."

"Do you not like ?"

Hannah’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, seeming very disappointed.

The man shook his head, "No."

So she smiled again, "So you do like ?"

Hannah’s straightforwardness made the man’s heart tremble, yet his gaze was serious, "Mm."

The neglected Jinlian rustled in the wind.

Had its master fallen for soone else too quickly?

Poor villain.

It had to fight for him once more.

Jinlian stood up and began biting Hannah’s pant leg, trying to pull her away.

Master, don’t forget, you’re engaged!

Unfortunately, Jinlian’s slight strength didn’t affect Hannah at all.

She was still looking at the man bowing his head in front of her.

The ambiguous atmosphere between them couldn’t be blown away by the wind.

Couples nearby were embracing each other tenderly in the dim night.

Just when it seed like the critical mont had arrived, Hannah suddenly said, "But I already have a fiancé."

The sudden statent stunned the man in front of her.

Jinlian was also stunned, and after that, it felt smug.

Indeed, it knew its master wouldn’t be the type to switch affections easily!

The man was shocked, the joy of reunion in his heart turning to bewildernt.

"I really like him," Hannah added, smiling with a hint of reminisce, "Even though he’s no longer here, I still like him very much."

She seed like she wanted to cry.

The man felt stifled within, wanting to hold her and comfort her as he had done before, "I actually..."

He wanted to explain.

But Hannah stopped him, "I have sothing else to do, I’m leaving first."

With that, she turned and left.

Leaving the lantern behind.

The man paused only for a mont before chasing after her.

But there was no sign of Hannah anywhere around.

She had left too quickly, as if deliberately hiding from him.

Fireworks blossod again.

People on the bridge clapped and cheered.

It must have been soone confessing or successfully proposing.

The man stood still, looking down at the two lanterns in his hand, silent for a mont, before he reached up and took off the mask on his face.

Under the night lights, revealed was an exceptionally handso and profound face, with bright black pupils, three-dinsional features, and long, beautiful peach blossom eyes that slightly upturned at the corners.

But without a smile, he gave off an indifferent aura of keeping others at bay.

Hannah was gone, and with her, the starlight had disappeared from the man’s eyes, leaving them cold and deep like the boundless night.

He must have upset her, making her deliberately avoid him.

Not even giving him a chance to appease her.

Hannah hid atop a tree, watching the man circle the spot twice before leaving.

She swung her legs, leaning against the tree trunk, laughing happily.

But Jinlian, afraid of heights, was trembling in its legs.
