The more Jenny King talked, the angrier she beca. She originally obtained the application form through connections, but she was eliminated after the first interview. Even her attempts to grease the inside wheel through her father were rejected.

But Hannah Winter made it through, and she simply couldn’t stomach it.

May Hoffman stood aside, rely offering a helpless smile, trying to convince Jenny to let it go, "Maybe she just got lucky."

"What good luck?" Jenny glared at May, glaring fiercely towards Hannah’s direction, unable to accept it, "Soone must be helping her. Did you not see how flirtatious she looked when she took that call? She must be sleeping around again."

May didn’t dare say anything more knowing Jenny was upset, letting her tumble and rage freely.

However, Jenny did catch on to one detail - the man Hannah was just calling... Mr. Simmons?

Not many people have the surna Simmons in Kyoto City; if it cos down to those who hold status and power, the only ones are...

A thought flashed across her mind, leaving her eyes full of shock. But she quickly denied the possibility.

No way it could be him.

Even her father would find it extrely difficult to et him, let alone Hannah, who cos from a non-prominent background and apart from her looks, doesn’t have much to offer.

It must just be a coincidence.

Just a coincidence.

She consoled herself ntally.

Hannah, curled up in her bunk after hanging up, her face still lit with a smile. She seed like a flower trembling under the sunlight, swaying gently.

Curiously, Jinlian crawled out from under the duvet, "Master, are you going out?"

Hannah nodded, turned around and changed into a coat. She put Jinlian and her potted plant together on the bookshelf, pointing at the cactus which had lost its spines, "Sweet Jinlian, glue back the spines of my cactus. When I return, I want to see my cactus as beautiful as before, understood?"

Hannah’s smile was still enchanting, but it seed chilling to Jinlian.

Jinlian scratched its ears as if wronged, "Master, aren’t you taking out with you?"

Hannah smiled, "I am not."

Jinlian sulked, "But without , you can’t live-stream today."

Hannah got out of the bed, nonchalantly remarking, "No live-stream today, I am busy with a date with my sugar daddy."

Jinlian was still persistent, "Master, if you don’t continue live-streaming, you won’t get recomnded on Stellar streaming platform."

To encourage the broadcasters on the live-streaming platform to make more broadcasts, the Stellar platform always had its own recomndation system. Regardless of the broadcaster’s skills, the most basic requirent for getting a recomndation was the number of broadcasts.

The fewer the broadcasts, the fewer the recomndations.

So, Jinlian was worried.

It was wondering when it would be able to earn those ten thousand Stellar Coins. It was still waiting to show off its new fluffy body to the system across the street.

Once it achieved that, Jinlian could proudly flaunt its new body before him.

After changing clothes and shoes, Hannah turned her head hearing this. She bent over to face Jinlian’s sowhat comical puppy eyes, her voice was calm, "Sweet Jinlian, if I co back and find out that the cactus spines are not glued back, I’ll pluck your fur to make a coat for the cactus. Got it?"

Jinlian: "..."

The poor Siberian Husky was crying whilst putting the spines back onto the cactus, which was about the sa size as itself.
