"I’m going to show you that the man you chose can’t even protect you."

Their commotion soon alerted the security who didn’t know George River’s identity, and they promptly called the police.

Eventually, all three ended up in the police station.

George River, agile as he was, had a wound on his face. He wore a disheveled suit, but his imposing deanor remained.

The other boy had to be rushed to the hospital because his injuries were severe.

The policewoman on duty started her interrogation. George River didn’t attempt to justify his actions. When asked why he had assaulted the other man, he paused.

With a casual glance towards Hannah subtly sitting aside, he withdrew his gaze. His voice was cold, "No reason."

The policewoman was taken aback.

George River, though skilled, had unavoidably sustained injuries. He looked worse for wear, yet his air of authority remained undiminished even as he sat there in his rumpled suit.

But what did he an by no reason?

The duty policewoman banged on the table and said sternly, "Please fix your attitude. This is a police station, not your ho."

Even the rich should not act so arrogant!

She thought to herself and then glanced at Hannah sitting aside. She was quietly sitting there with her hands folded and her legs bent gracefully. Her fair complexion and youth enhanced her beauty. The light-colored Qipao she wore accentuated her elegance.

Such enchanting beauty was enough to hold anyone’s gaze.

Two n fighting over a beautiful woman, the potential motives were not difficult to guess.

But as per the procedure, she asked anyway, "Young lady, do you know these two n?"

At this, Hannah looked up. Her exquisite beauty seed to co alive by the mystic flair in her eyes. She cast a fleeting glance at George River, her gaze lingering on the wound at the corner of his mouth. After a few seconds, she nodded.

"I know them, one is my senior and the other..." She paused montarily until the man turned towards her, then she said in her soft-crisp voice, "A stranger, not relevant."

She concluded and lowered her eyes nonchalantly.

Nowhere to be seen was the desolation and self-mockery in the eyes of the man standing next to her.

A stranger, how irrelevant.

George River chuckled sarcastically but didn’t bother challenging her la lie.

If she wished to say it that way, so be it.

Whether they were indeed strangers was not sothing that could be determined by just a comnt.

That’s it.

The on-duty policewoman was now even more confused than before. She continued asking, "What were you doing with your ’senior’ today?"

Hannah replied, "A monetary transaction."

Her voice was soft and slightly hoarse, her eyes sparkled with an innocent glow. The purity of her statent was such that it was hard to misinterpret her words.

You’d almost feel guilty, accusing such a beauty of any malevolence.

Only George River clenched his fists tighter upon hearing this.

He felt he had been too lenient earlier.

One of the policen was a recent graduate. He was positive and upright, yet he misunderstood Hannah’s words. Not a bit contemptuous, he instead asked with concern, "Miss, do you have any undisclosed difficulties? Do you need our help?"

Finished speaking, he straightened his chest, and his neat police uniform ca into view.
