The atmosphere montarily froze.

Once Jack Stewart started recalling Hannah’s embarrassing history, he couldn’t stop.

He rembered those past events even more clearly than Jinlian, the artificial intelligence.

He even rembered the ti when Hannah, in her efforts to cook for love, nearly gave herself gastrorrhagia.

"It was I who took you to the hospital that ti..."

Hannah remained silent for a long ti before delivering a rciless kick his way.

Jack nimbly dodged, showing no intention of holding back.

As the wind gradually ceased, Hannah sat wearily on the bench, deciding to confront her embarrassing history head-on.

She’d done too many foolish things in the past that, even though it was only two years ago, it seed like a lifeti had passed, and she was starting to forget them herself.

It wasn’t until Jack finished that she spoke again, "Jack, this ti it’s different, trust , I can handle it."

She was serious.

There was not a hint of jest or casualness in her voice when she said it.

Jack looked away with a snort, obviously disbelieving.

Hannah looked across the river toward the new restaurant, its neon lights twinkling, signifying the peak of its bustle. Even through glass, the cold wind couldn’t disperse such warmth.

Hannah watched silently, then suddenly spoke up, "Jack, I’m sorry."

The apology was unexpected, and Jack was visibly shocked. He looked down at her and stamred, "What’s this about, saying sorry for no reason?"

"Because of , tomorrow’s box office for ’The Kite’ is likely to be badly affected," she said, lifting her gaze to et Jack’s, letting out a sigh. "And that’s your first film as a director."

He looked at her, gazing into her clear eyes, which were as dark as the deep night sky.

There was no moon tonight, and even the stars in her eyes seed to have dimd.

Jack felt a tightness in his chest but still pretended to be nonchalant, with his hands behind his head, smiling dismissively, "What’s the big deal, I’m going to be a great director soday anyway. If you really feel sorry, then just star in a few more movies for ."

More than the movies, he was worried about her.

He had beco a film director because she liked it, thought he was suitable for it, so he pursued it.

Before eting her, dreaming of becoming a director was just small talk, and without any other ideas, things had just fallen into place.

It was after eting her that he truly found a dream.

Being an agent didn’t seem too bad either.

Being a director was secondary at most.

Thinking this, he chuckled, lightening the mood, "Instead of worrying about , you might want to think about how to explain to your financier. He invested money and is probably going to lose it all – might abandon you in a fit of pique."

"He would never abandon ," Hannah snorted, giving him a glare, "Can’t you just hope for the best for ?"

Jack conceded, and could only praise her, "Alright, alright, such a beautiful girl like you, who wouldn’t adore you? Who would dare to abandon you?"

"That’s more like it." She stood up and ran towards the stairs.

Jack called out to her retreating figure, "Where are you going now?"

Hannah stood at the highest point and waved at him, "Going ho."

The wind blew, teasing the corner of her coat into the air, light and fluttering like willow catkins caught in the breeze, drifting into his heart.

Before he could fully regain his composure, he heard a soft command.

"Jack, hurry up and open the car door for , I’m freezing to death."

He hid the emotions in his eyes, as had always been the case, his movents quick as he got up, while his mouth grumbled in complaint.
