"I don’t go by ’hey,’" she replied casually.
Matthew Quach choked, "Alright, Hannah Winter, where’s my welco gift?"
Hannah stretched out her hand, fumbled beside her, picked up a lollipop and handed it over, "Here you go, your welco gift."
Matthew looked down at the lollipop, pouted, and said, "This is mine."
"Exactly," Hannah nodded, her tone natural, "So do you want it or not?"
Matthew huffed, took it, unwrapped it in seconds, and started crunching it in his mouth, "Giving kids’ stuff to kids, you adults are so embarrassing."
Hannah faced him unabashed, not the least bit shy, "But aren’t you enjoying it very much?"
Caught off guard, Matthew stood up and stepped on the couch, "I’m angry, this is being angry!"
Hannah watched him with an unchanged expression and a side-smile, "Then why are you angry?"
Matthew could feel Hannah’s perfunctory attitude, but for so reason, he fell for it, "Because you didn’t co to see ."
Hannah turned to look at him, saw the disappointnt in his eyes, and then said again, "I’ve been too busy."
"You adults always use that as an excuse," murmured Matthew as he settled back down, head drooping, "Can’t you co up with sothing fresh?"
He decided to give Hannah another chance.
Hannah pondered for a mont, lowered her voice as if sharing a secret, leaned in, and whispered, "Actually, I forgot."
Matthew glanced at her and almost cried at the unhidden smile on her face.
"That’s even worse than the excuse you just made!"
The two of them bantered back and forth until finally, Matthew was outargued. Hannah’s words left him wanting to cry, yet he tried hard to hold back.
Simply because Hannah had said, "Randomly crying, don’t you kids feel embarrassed by that?"
As soon as Crystal Quach ca downstairs, she heard laughter in the living room along with her son’s thunderous roar.
Even though he was angry, as his mother, she knew that deep down, Matthew was actually thrilled.
It was a vitality that he didn’t even show in front of her, his mother.
She truly had missed out on so much, thankfully there was still ti to make ands.
Crystal wiped away the tear at the corner of her eye, took a deep breath, and continued down the stairs.
The script Crystal brought this ti was quite special because it was the first movie she was producing herself.
The director was her old classmate, Thomas Campbell, who had already won international awards.
An absolutely blockbuster ensemble, clearly aid at winning awards.
"The role of the female lead is very demanding for the actress. We’ve been unable to find soone suitable. My old classmate even said if we couldn’t find anyone, he might as well let do it."
Crystal briefly described the background of the female lead.
She was a girl of absolute beauty, but her appearance didn’t bring her any convenience. Instead, it brought crises.
