Chapter 302: Taking dicine
To their surprise, sothing happened to the eldest son of the Xi Family, and he even slipped into a coma.
He was now at the front yard, and was probably in a dangerous situation.
If it were to be delayed and sothing were to happen to the Xi Family’s son, how could the Gu Family answer to the Xi Family!?!
Mr. Gu walked out of the hall imdiately and rushed to deal with the matter.
Upon seeing this, Mrs. Gu sneered and did not follow.
After all, Gu Sisi was still a thorn in her flesh because she was the proof of her husband’s infidelity, even though she was of no harm to Mrs. Gu’s interests as she was only an illegitimate daughter.
Their loving relationship and strong 30-year marriage was just a show for everyone!
At the thought of this, Mrs. Gu glanced at Gu Jingxuan and said, “Jingxuan, it’s getting late, we should go ho. Let’s not disturb Changye’s rest.”
The mid-mountain villa was not actually where the Gu Family lived, and was instead Gu Changye’s private territory.
He hated being disturbed by others and preferred to enjoy his peace and quiet alone. Hence, he lived there by himself.
The other mbers of the Gu Family lived in the family mansion that was at the center of Beijing.
The mountain villa was selected as the venue tonight because it was perfect for the banquet!
Gu Jingxuan smiled and patted Gu Changye’s shoulder. “Brother, get so rest. Well, my mother can’t get used to sleeping on others’ beds so she can’t spend the night here at yours! How unfortunate... ”
Upon hearing his words, Gu Changye nodded slightly with a calm smile on his handso face. His amber-colored eyes were demonic and attractive.
Before leaving, Mrs. Gu took out two bottles of dicine from her bag and handed them to her eldest son. She then said in a llower voice, “Changye, you should be running out of dicine soon. I’ve brought you so. Rember to take them... ”
Gu Changye glanced at the two bottles of dicine in her hand and his eyes grew a little gloomy. “Mother, I don’t feel too good lately. Is this dicine... a little ineffective?”
Upon hearing his words, Mrs. Gu frowned and shoved the bottles into his hands. “This dicine was specially formulated for you by an expert I hired. How could it not be effective? Continue taking them for a year or two and you’ll get better!”
Gu Changye held onto the dicine bottle tightly as the light green veins began to bulge on his hand. However, he never spoke again.
After giving out her instructions, Mrs. Gu turned around and was about to leave. Gu Jingxuan chased after her and at the sa ti, he glanced at Qi Sui casually. “Oh, Sui! I an, Sister-in-law! Brother is in low spirits. Do accompany him and go back later. I’ll leave first. The chauffeur will stay behind to drive you down the mountain.”
Qi Sui nodded and agreed.
Although she was Gu Changye’s fiancee, they didn’t live together.
He lived on the mountain and she often went up to visit him but she had never spent the night there!
Gu Changye looked in front to see that Mrs. Gu was holding onto Gu Jingxuan’s arm and suddenly found it to be an eyesore. He suddenly added, “Mother, the weather is getting cold. Please look after yourself. If you need anything, feel free to tell .”
Mrs. Gu did not respond and left with Gu Jingxuan.
Qi Sui was left alone with Gu Changye. She looked at him smilingly and said gently, “Ye, when are you going to rest? I’ll leave after you sleep.”
“i, stay with tonight, okay?”
Gu Changye asked, staring solemnly at the woman whom he had loved deeply for years.
“Do you... want to stay? But I’ve never spent a night here before... ”
Qi Sui stiffened a little and felt rather helpless because she didn’t expect him to make such a request.
All of a sudden, Gu Changye stretched out his arms and hugged Qi Sui tightly, “Tonight, you promised to marry . In no ti... we will beco husband and wife! A married couple must live together, so let’s take it as us adapting in advance, alright?”
