Zaque and Cleora had watched Coco’s friends exit the gate, their backs turned from the mother-in-law and son-in-law duo as they walked back to their own humble abode.

When Zaque asked Jacques and her diators to leave because Coco felt unwell, Cleora took it upon herself to help Zaque guide them out.

Right now, the two of them are standing at the gate, waiting for the three people to leave their sight, but Cleora knew that sothing was amiss, so she couldn’t stop herself from worrying.

"Is my daughter really unwell?" The older woman asked, her gaze glued on the three figures that slowly vanished from her sight.

Zaque forced a smile on his face and turned to Cleora, nodding his head. "She is, mother."

"Then may I see her?" Cleora prodded, returning the seemingly soft smile on the diator’s face. "I’m planning to leave there days from now, so I’m thinking of spending every single second starting from now with her."

Zaque froze, eyes widening. "Pardon? Why are you leaving?"

"I have people I need to govern over, dear." Cleora giggled, the sound was scratchy and forced in her throat. "I already talked about this with my daughter, but I don’t know if she talked about it with you guys."

"Talk?" Zaque mumbled, eyebrows furrowing in worry. "Talk about what exactly?"

"I don’t think it’s in my place to say anything about it, child." Cleora humd softly, the corner of her lips tugging downwards as she glanced at him. "It’s a matter between spouses. No in-laws are allowed to step in."

"But I want to know, mother." Zaque insisted, stepping in front of Cleora so she wouldn’t be able to look away. "I’m sure this will make my wife happy, so please."

It will surely make her happy, Zaque. Cleora thought, her heart swelling with pride at the way the diator in front of her is thinking about how such a thing would make his dearest wife happy because it certainly would.

As Coco’s mother, Cleora realised that her daughter didn’t want to be separated from her after all this ti of being away from each other.

It might be considered weird from other people’s perspective, but Coco and her sisters are clingy.

Growing up, the three of them didn’t have any adults to rely on except their mother, so in Cleora’s perspective, it was normal.

Even when Corinne had got herself promoted in the company she’s working at, she still refused to leave her ho and look for a suitable partner because in her words— not Cleora’s, a romantic relationship is a pain in the ass.

Cleora rembered that her oldest daughter would introduce a different partner every week because by the end of the week, she would be single.

Corinne might be a casanova, but at least she’s a good sister, right?

Corinne, Coco, and Carina— these three beautiful ladies don’t know how to keep a relationship going, so the three of them are always at ho doing anything that will take up their ti.

Carina might be courting a girl, but that girl is hopeless as well.

So with Coco being married in this new world and new life of hers, Cleora was incredibly happy to know that her daughter isn’t alone anymore.

She might not know that full story of her life, but at least she’s now here to be there for her.

"Why don’t we speak about this with Coco first?" Cleora suggested, refusing to ruin her daughter’s relationships with her husbands.

"Mother—" Zaque grumbled, wanting to argue, but Lala and Richard ca rushing out of the house.

Cleora and the red haired diator turned their heads to look at the couple, their eyebrows raised in unison at the strange scene before them.

Lala was carrying the humanized goleter over her shoulder and she was barely clothed, saved for the white quilt wrapped around her body— and not to ntion, she was barefooted.

"Lala?" Zaque called, worry evident on his face.

"Zaque!" The garden fairy brightened up when she saw the diator. "Perfect timing, oh my goodness! It’s mating season!"

Cleora and Zaque both looked flabbergasted at what they heard.

"Mating season?" Cleora repeated, her face draining of its color as she looked at Lala. "What does that an, dear?"

"It ans that Richard and other king beasts are in their rut." Lala said as she stomped her way over to the mother and son duo. "Which ans that my dearest lover is in rut, too! I have to go into a cave to mate with this guy!"

"H-Have you said this to Coco?" Zaque stuttered, his own face becoming pale.

"No, but she will understand." Lala started and was already walking over to the fence around their little ho. "I had asked Lulu to give her a ssage about it, so she wouldn’t have to worry about disappearing for a while."

"What are you going to do if we’re not here by the ti Richard’s mating season ends?!" Zaque asked, following behind Lala.

"I’ll have Lulu keep an eye on the six of you!" Lala retorted and stopped before Zaque, her beautiful transparent red wings erging in her back and fluttering right on Richard’s face.

"If there’s sothing going on, then I’ll co flying back to help Coco!" Lala assured him.

"But you should let Coco know—" Zaque tried to stop her from going and even used Coco as bait, but before he could finish his whole sentence, she was already flying away.

"LALA!" The diator scread, eyes wide in horror as he watched the fairy slowly vanish from his sight.

"My daughter will panic once she hears about this." Cleora mumbled, beads of sweat forming in her forehead. "If I’m not mistaken, Lala is the fairy who has been with her since she got here, right?"

"T-That’s right.." Zaque murmured, his heart dropping to his stomach.

"Oh, dear.." The older woman giggled nervously. "I guess I’ll be staying at an inn tonight, child. Good luck with my daughter, okay?"

"Mother?!"
