A few minutes passed.

When Coco and Heiren finally erged from the room, there was no visible sign of their previous activity.

Both of them had tidied themselves up, their clothes straightened and any signs of their previous.. Heated escapade carefully erased from view.

To any casual observer, they looked like nothing more than a pair of loving couples who casually stepped out into the hallway, professional and completely unfazed.

If anyone wondered what they had been doing in the room alone for so many minutes, they gave no indication that anything out of the ordinary had occurred— it’s not like soone had actually seen them walk inside the room anyway.

To make sure of it, Coco glanced down the hallway, her eyes taking in their surroundings after they stepped out of the room.

Unfortunately, as she looked ahead, she saw Greinzer walking out of the room ant for breaks, a stack of docunts clutched in his hand and a crease on his forehead.

He seed to notice them as well, his gaze flickering over to them as he paused in the hallway, a look of mild surprise on his face.

Coco offered a friendly smile and a nod in greeting, keeping her deanor casual and unruffled beneath the surface to not pique any suspicion from her senior.

Greinzer’s eyebrow raised slightly as his gaze flicked between Coco and Heiren, taking in their appearance with a knowing look.

After a mont of silent observation, he offered a respectful nod to Coco in greeting before turning on his heel and disappearing down the hall, the stack of docunts in his hand rustling softly with the movent.

Oh, shit.. He knows. Coco thought, her heart dropping to her stomach.

Before she could dwell on it, however, Heiren had dragged her down the hall to continue on their way to go to the office.

As Coco and Heiren walked down the hall, their steps fall in sync while they made their way towards the office of Mr. Covez and as they approached, the door suddenly swung open, revealing the figure of Mr. Covez standing in the doorway.

He was about to walk out when he noticed them and looked up at them, the look on his face slightly pleased.

"Ah, perfect timing." He said, his voice strained. "I was just about to look for you two."

"Understood, sir." Coco answered as she smiled politely, calm and composed before she followed behind Mr. Covez with Heiren following closely.

Mr. Covez moved to his desk and took a seat on his leather chair, nodding his head in satisfaction and looked over to the two.

"Please, sit." He said, "I have sothing I need to discuss with you both."

Mr. Covez gestured towards the seats available beside Kairo, who was already seated, his attention focused on the docunts he was looking over.

Coco and Heiren took the seats, sitting down side by side.

Kairo glanced up briefly from the papers he was holding as they took their seats, offering a brief nod of greeting before returning his focus to the docunts in front of him.

Mr. Covez laced his fingers together as he looked at Coco and Heiren, his expression serious. "Once again, I have sothing important to discuss."

Coco imdiately flashed a bright smile to the guildmaster with a slight tilt of her head, her curiosity piqued to the brim. "Is it good news or bad news?"

Mr. Covez’s lips twitched, a trace of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

"Well.." He began in a teasing tone, knowing that curiosity will be Coco’s death. "That depends on how you look at it, hunter."

Coco nodded, her smile faltering slightly as she recognized the seriousness of the situation. "I understand, sir. I’m happy to listen so please, start what we need to discuss."

Mr. Covez gave a small, satisfied nod, his gaze flickering between Coco and Heiren. "Good. What I’m about to tell you may be a little... surprising, but I trust that you both have the discretion to keep it in confidence."

Coco beca nervous at how serious the guildmaster looked, causing her to shift in her seat uncomfortably.

Is he about to tell that they didn’t get the job—

"Your diators got the job, Coco." Mr. Covez stated, cutting her thought off. "Congratulations."

Coco’s eyes widened slightly, surprise and excitent evident on her face. "Wait, what? Really? They got the job?"

Mr. Covez nodded in confirmation. "That’s right. Your diators were both hired. One as a receptionist at the guild’s bar and the other as our main receptionist."

Then, Mr. Covez gestured towards Kairo, who gave a respectful nod in acknowledgnt. "I’ve already had your friend sign the contract.

"And of course." He quickly added, his gaze flickering back to Coco and Heiren, "I advised him to read through the agreent thoroughly. I don’t want him to feel chained to the guild after all."

Mr. Covez smiled, his gaze shifting to Heiren. "All that is left is for your husband to sign his contract."

He reached into his desk drawer and pulled out a thick folder, extracting from the stack of docunts— he handed a thin folder to Heiren, along with a pen.

"Would you mind signing this now, Mr. Hughes?" The guildmaster inquired with a small smile.

Heiren stood up, a warm, enthusiastic smile on his face as he accepted the folder and pen from Mr. Covez’s outstretched hands. "Yes, sir! I would be happy to!"

Coco could only watch him, pride clear in her eyes at how happy and confident her husband seed.

Mr. Covez chuckled as his gaze shifted to Coco, catching her attention, just in ti to see his expression softening.

"You brought good people to ." He said, his tone dripping with genuine gratitude.

Coco smiled, feeling pride and satisfaction welling up within her at the complint, all the while feeling happy that the diators t the guildmaster’s expectation.

"They’re one of the best people I know." Coco replied with a cheeky smile.
