"Damn, what was that?" Coco groaned as the hairs on the back of her neck and her arms raised after a cold chill went down her spine.

"What’s wrong?" Sinclair asked, his eyebrows furrowing in worry.

"I don’t know." Coco mumbled, blinking as she looked around the hunter guild’s lobby for a possible cause of her unexplainable shudder. "But I felt like I was being subjected to sothing I don’t want."

The hybrid raised an eyebrow at her explanation, feeling slightly curious, but confused.

"I don’t know, okay?" Coco sighed, exasperatedly. "I just felt like people were talking about behind my back and were planning sothing bad."

Myra and Lukas who were standing on her other side shared a glance before they turned to Coco who was still frowning with her arms wrapped around herself, her identification card dangling carelessly between her forefinger and thumb.

"It’s either what you said is true or you’re just about to have a cold." Myra comnted, thinking rationally than Coco.

"Or!" Lukas chid in and shot a grin on Coco’s way. "They’re talking about you, but in a good way! Like they’re interested in you or sothing!"

"But she’s married."

"But I’m married."

Sinclair, Myra, and Coco simultaneously rejected the idea by stating her marital status.

"Aww, co on!" The sacred beast whined— well, almost whined, but it was more like the frustrated growl of a siberian husky. "Can’t the three of you think positively and be free for once? An admirer or two wouldn’t hurt, you know!"

"Yes, but I’m married." Coco humd, turning in her heels and made her way across the lobby which caused the three people who went with her to the desk imdiately ran after her, not wanting to be left alone with one another.

"Right." Sinclair agreed out loud to let Lukas know to back off. "She doesn’t need soone else unless she said so herself."

Lukas was quick to scoff and cross his arms, the four of them stopping right outside the building.

"Ay! We’re blocking the doorway!" Coco hissed and pushed the sacred beast to the side, not caring if he stumbled back and had a little difficulty to gather his footing.

"Much better." Myra said, snickering when she saw Lukas grunting as he stood back up.

"Anyway, enough of Lukas’ stupid idea and let’s go sowhere to eat what my husbands made for ." Coco suggested, indirectly inviting the three of them to eat with her.

"I’d love to." Sinclair answered, not missing a beat.

"Eh, it’s not like I have sowhere I have to be." Myra said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Free food? Count in!" Lukas howled, excited.

Coco, Myra, and Sinclair could only shake their heads at Lukas’ antics before they walked towards the city square with Sinclair leading the small group.

The four of them found a spot sowhere in the city square, then they soon took their own spot on the green grass.

They situated themselves in the middle of the square where a large tree was located, which was surrounded with a small area of green grasses that had a couple of seats here and there.

Outside of the grass, the place was surrounded with stores, specialty shops, small pharmacies, and a few buildings which had restaurants and cafes.

Sure, they could have walked inside of one of the cafes around them and ordered sothing for them to eat so they wouldn’t have to sit on the grass, but nothing beats ho cooked als and snacks, right?

Besides, sitting on the grass under a shade of a tree with bustling sounds around them seed more peaceful than the initial thought of ordering sothing.

So, even if they were on the ground, they still enjoyed the food that Coco’s husband packed for her.

Soon, the blue sky above them slowly shifted to different hues of orange, pink, and yellow— signaling them that they have overstayed their welco.

However, none of them seed to mind because the four of them had fun.

Lukas did most of the talking, just telling them of what happened back in his days— which made Sinclair and Myra confused— along with the stories he had heard wherever he ca from.

The three won rely listened and let the sacred beast talk, half listening and half looking around, just enjoying the tranquility of the mont.

When it was ti to go ho, the carriage arrived at the entrance of the city square to pick Sinclair up and Coco.

Myra and Lukas waved them a farewell before the two went their separate ways, silently thankful for a peaceful yet sohow an eventful day.

"You always et nice people." Sinclair humd, his eyes shifting away from the window.

Coco continued to look out, a small smile erging in her face at what she heard. "Not always, but whenever soone nice does co, I make sure to be as good as I can to them."

After she said those words, a cold chill ran down her spine again, making goosebumps appear in her arms.

"Are you okay?" Sinclair questioned, watching as Coco frowned and rubbed her arms, shaking her head as a response. "Is it the sa feeling you had this morning?"

"Yeah.. But at least it’s not as bad as earlier." Coco mumbled, sighing heavily.

Back at the house, Zaque and Heiren had a couple of papers laid in front of them, each one of the brown sheets containing their plan starting tomorrow until next month.

Quizen stared at the papers and looked at Zaque. "What do we say to her if she asks why you two keep going out?"

The two diators froze and blinked owlishly.

Okay, there’s a hole in their plan and this hole might beco a problem later on.

"Well, every ti we go out, we’re going to bring sothing back with us." Heiren answered, his eyes settling on the brown papers. "That way, we can just tell her that we’re shopping for.. Decorations."

Once again, a chill ran down Coco’s spine.
