With Coco asking the four husbands the sa question and telling them the sa lie for the reason behind the inquiry, the four of them had now successfully beco upset.

Not at her though— oh, no, no, no! They’re more upset with themselves and the other!

The question sure took them by surprise, but the reason behind it was what drove them to be fully upset because it only ans that Coco is still planning to divorce the four of them.

Not only that, she was also planning to find soone perfect for them!

"So? What are we going to do with Coco’s.. Good intent question?" Quizen asked, breaking the silence that enveloped the four of them.

They were able to sense that the four of them were asked the sa question and ca to a silent agreent to have a eting about it— and of course, to not be obvious, they did it in Alhai’s room.

The silver haired diator went along with what the three of them wanted which took them by surprise.

However, Alhai expressed that he rely didn’t want Coco to divorce them just yet because she still has a promise to fulfill, and who in their right mind would let soone like her go?

Alhai was rely calculating the pros and cons of staying married to Coco for as long as he can, nothing more, nothing less.

So, if he was asked to be honest.. He won’t let Coco go nor think of divorcing her anymore.

Why? For the benefits he will get, of course.

"I’ll sit this one out." Alhai stated bluntly, standing up from his chair and walked over to his bed. "I’d rather finish the book I was reading last night than waste my ti on sothing like this."

"This.. It is important, Alhai." Quizen huffed, frowning.

"Yes, but what are you three going to do if she wants to divorce us because she doesn’t like us?" He inquired, raising an eyebrow as he reached for the book that Coco bought him a few days ago.

"Well.. She at least likes us.. As a friend?" Heiren’s words sounded unsure, more like questioning himself if Coco does like them.

"Probably." Alhai mumbled, opening the book where he placed a green bookmark on.

It was quiet after the third husband’s answer, the new realization that Coco might not like them even as a friend, making the three of them freeze in their seats.

Politeness is a thing and Coco is kind.

There’s a possibility— a big one at that— that she was just being polite to them because they were connected legally when she took over Coco Hughes’ body, right?

Alhai didn’t look up from his book, but he could feel the tension that rose after what he said.

"For the record, I don’t think soone like Coco would actually go as far as taking care of all of us if she didn’t like us as a friend, at least.. I hope." Alhai stated, his voice loud enough for them to hear.

"He’s right." Zaque seconded what Alhai had just said, nodding his head.

"So.. What are we going to do?" Quizen asked for the nth ti since Coco left the house to go to the hunter guild because all the passers are required to show up to get their identification card.

As usual, Heiren packed so food for Coco to take and Zaque packed so sandwiches just in case she wanted to snack on sothing.

As usual, Coco thanked them before she rode the carriage.

"With her being a licensed hunter now.. There’s no doubt that she will be able to earn money faster than she did when we were still in the village." Zaque mumbled, his eyebrows furrowing in worry.

"As far as I know, to divorce one of us, it would cost her a lot." Alhai spoke up again, catching the attention of others.

"Did you inquire with the church about this?" Heiren asked, twisting his upper body so he’ll be able to face Alhai who was sitting against the headboard of his bed.

"I did." Alhai humd and flipped the page of his book. "I went out the other day, yes? I bought so books and since I have enough ti before I get ho.. I rode a carriage to go to church."

"How much was the fee to get to talk to one of the bishops?" Zaque inquired.

"Approximately three gold coins, but I didn’t talk to the bishop.. I talked to the priest that was preaching that day." Alhai said, gently correcting Zaque.

"Three gold coins for a priest?" Quizen blinked, a deep frown settling on his face.

"I can’t get inside the halls leading to their offices so I had to pay." Alhai explained, shrugging his shoulders lightly and kept his eyes on the book.

"Anyway, to divorce one of us— she will need at least eight to ten thousand gold coins." The diator went straight to the point and smirked. "The first spouse must receive money that was equivalent to half of the divorce money as alimony."

The three diators blinked and slowly, their lips curled up into pleased grins.

"Really?" Heiren was the first one to confirm.

"From what I was told, yes." Alhai affird with a knowing smirk on his face.

"Coco gave us our allowance this week.. I’ll have to spend half of mine on a trip to the church to answer the questions I have." Zaque stated, tapping his finger on the table with a satisfied sigh escaping his lips.

"Then, I’ll buy so decorations to make this house more holy." Heiren followed, leaning his chin on his palm as he put his elbow on the table.

"I have to start composing new songs and try to sing them out in public.. To get so loving listeners so I can help Coco secure her position as a notable hunter." Quizen humd out, chuckling.

One way or another, the three of them are already planning how to keep Coco by their side.
