The early morning light began to filter through the windows, its soft glow gradually brightening with each passing minute.

Zaque, having just descended the stairs and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, stopped dead in his tracks as he took in the sight that greeted him.

He froze by the living room doorway, his sleepy brain struggling to process the scene before him.

There, on the couch, was Heiren, fast asleep— which was sowhat normal, but what was odd was that Coco was also with him and gently draped across Heiren’s chest as she snuggled against him.

Zaque observed the sleeping duo, his eyes narrowing as they landed on Heiren’s relaxed and blissfully oblivious face.

A flicker of annoyance and a twinge of envy danced across Zaque’s expression, his eyebrow giving a subtle twitch as he took in the sight of Coco snuggled against Heiren on the couch.

The ease and comfort in their position, the casual intimacy that they shared, it all made Zaque’s jaw clench slightly, his heart clenching with a mixture of irritation and...

Well, perhaps it was jealousy?

Zaque was unfortunately abruptly pulled out of his thoughts as the sound of footsteps echoed down the stairs registered in his ears.

He whipped his head around, his eyebrows furrowing in curiosity as his gaze shifted to the sight of Quizen, who had just erged from upstairs and was now yawning widely, clearly still shaking off the remnants of sleep.

The sight of Quizen yawning and disheveled from just waking up montarily distracts him from the sight of Heiren and Coco cuddling on the couch.

Quizen’s bleary-eyed gaze finally focused on Zaque and a friendly smile spread across his face.

"Good morning." He replied, his voice rough and still laced with the remnants of sleep, then he stifled another yawn, stretching his limbs as he approached Zaque.

"You’re up early." He remarked, a hint of surprise in his tone.

Zaque gave no reply to Quizen’s comnt, his expression turning serious and slightly annoyed.

He looked back to the couch, a frown tugged at the corners of his lips, his mind occupied with the sight before him and seed to ruffle Zaque’s feathers, his annoyance growing as he observed the scene.

He was about to question Zaque’s early morning grouchiness when he finally followed his gaze and spotted the source of Zaque’s irritation.

His words died in his throat, his eyes widening in realization.

A mont of silence passed as Quizen registered the sight of Heiren and Coco cuddling together on the couch, the comfortable intimacy of their position pulling an ugly feeling inside him.

Finally, he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Ah.. I see.."

Quizen observed the scene before them, his eyes fixated on the sight of Coco draped across Heiren, a pang of distress flaring within him.

The intimate position of the two, the familiarity and ease with which Coco was cuddled against Heiren left a sour taste in Quizen’s mouth, a wave of unease washed over him, his heart clenching at the thought of the closeness and comfort that the pair shared.

Quizen’s and Zaque’s envy continued to simr, but was suddenly distracted by the sound of footsteps descending the stairs.

He tore his gaze away from Heiren and Coco, his expression still dark with an unsettling feeling, only to see Alhai appearing on the steps.

Alhai, oblivious to the tension in the room, descended the stairs, his footsteps soft and gentle.

He yawned, his bedhead sticking out in all directions, his tired eyes barely open, and he was in the middle of an expansive yawn when he abruptly stopped, his sleepy eyes catching sight of the scene before him.

The sight of Heiren and Coco cuddling together on the couch, their limbs tangled in a cozy snuggle, abruptly snapped Alhai out of his sleepy daze.

He blinked a few tis, trying to shake off his grogginess, his brain processing the sight with a mix of surprise and confusion, causing him to take a mont to rub his eyes, wondering if he was hallucinating in his half-asleep state.

Alhai’s initial surprise quickly dissolved into a look of displeasure as he finally registered the sight in front of him.

His groggy, half-lidded eyes narrowed slightly, his mouth forming a slight frown while he observed the irritating sight of his friend snuggling their wife.

The warm and comfortable sight stirred up feelings of annoyance and irritation within Alhai, his scowl slowly deepening with his tired expression hardening as he watched the two on the couch.

The three n stood by the doorway of the living room, still reeling from the sight of Heiren and Coco cuddled together on the couch.

However, their focus was suddenly redirected as sothing moved— or rather, Konoha, who had been sleeping on the single couch, stirred and lifted her head.

The small feline, her ears perking up and a soft wl escaped her lips as her gaze caught sight of the trio standing there, and almost imdiately, the sound captured their attention, providing a montary distraction.

Heiren, who had been slumbering peacefully on the couch, stirred lightly, his eyelashes fluttering as he slowly began to awaken.

However, he was careful in his movents, not wanting to disturb the person who was resting comfortably on his chest.

His eyes gradually opened, a soft yawn escaped his lips before he found himself gazing at the unexpected sight of his friends standing in the doorway, his sleepy gaze taking in their presence with a mix of surprise and mild confusion.

Zaque’s gaze was fixated on Heiren, his eyes narrowing with his mouth twisting into a grimace as he looked down at Heiren, a sneer erging on his face.

The demand for an explanation was clear in Zaque’s glare– a hint of both hurt and irritation lurking beneath the surface, his stance tense as he waited for Heiren to offer a justification for the compromising position he and Coco had been found in.

Unfortunately, Heiren rely rolled his eyes and looked away.
