"Thank you." Coco humd out as she grabbed the cup of tea.

"Yeah, yeah." The man mumbled and plopped himself down on the chair on the other side of the table, "I take it that your little diator told you that you needed to talk to ?"

"Yes." Coco said, fidgeting with the teacup, "What did he make you do exactly?"

They had left Heiren outside of the house when the man tried to invite them in, but the brown haired diator refused so only Coco went inside the house.

"He made go to Yolo Village and pick a certain family heirloom for I don’t know whom." The man sighed out, the exhaustion clear on his face and voice, "That took almost two weeks to complete."

Coco blinked. "What happened to the family heirloom?"

"I didn’t give it to that diator because he didn’t have the money to pay so I ended up taking it back with ." He mumbled, leaning back on his chair.

"It’s inside my room and has been there for almost a month now." The man grumbled, adding to his previous statent as he rubbed his temples, expressing his frustration.

"Why did you stop doing miscellaneous tasks for other people? Why was Heiren the last person you took as your client?" Coco asked, her curiosity at the highest peak.

"You have a lot of question." The man said, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Well, my husband bought here to talk to you, might as well do so, right? The first thing to do to start a conversation is asking a question so answer them." Coco smiled at him, tapping her finger on the table.

"You have a point.." The man murmured and sighed, "Alright.. Uh, why did I stop doing task..? Because I was planning to find soone for ."

Coco’s eyes went wide at the revelation.

"I’m getting older as the years go on and I’ll be eighty seven years old soon. I just can’t stay in this trash of a house for a long ti, right? I need to find soone for to love, too." The man said, raising a hand and scratching the back of his head as his face get dusted with color.

"I noticed that almost everyone in this village already has soone. Even my friends has one, I think I’m one of the few that couldn’t get one because of how I look—" The man got cut off by Coco slamming her hand on the table.

"You look handso!" Coco exclaid and point a accusatory finger at him, "My friend who has scars and tattoos has a wife so I’m sure you’ll find yours, too!"

He blinked, nodding his head with reluctance. "I see.. I haven’t seen anyone like .."

"Co on! Don’t be so hard on yourself and man up! I’ll introduce you to my friend to see if he has soone I can set you up then? I’m a good match maker, you know! I can definitely find soone for you!" Coco exclaid, puffing her chest out of pride.

".. Very reassuring.." The man mumbled under his breath, clearly not convinced with Coco’s bullshit.

"You don’t believe ? Just you wait—" Coco was about to get off her chair, but she was cut off.

"I believe you." The man sighed out and shook his head as he wave his hand dismissively, "It’s just surprising that the infamous Coco Hughes is sitting in front of right now and announcing that she will find soone for ."

"Oh." Coco blinked before she laughed sheepishly, "What can I say? I’m trying to prove to my husbands that I’m a changed person."

Not really changed, but another person. Coco wanted to added, but she did so in her mind.

"Whatever." He murmured and stood up from his seat, "Wait here. I’ll go get the family heirloom upstairs since you said that you’re trying to prove that you’re changed, and in my opinion, you didn’t just changed.. It feels like I’m talking to a different person."

Coco’s body grew stiff as soon as she heard what he said.

Was it really that obvious that she’s a different person now? But she’s not trying to announce to everyone that she’s not Coco Hughes now, rather, she just want to show them she was kinder and more considerate than she was before.

"Oh, no.." Lala whispered, peeking her head out of Coco’s hair and watched as the man went upstairs.

"What if he finds out that you’re not Coco Hughes anymore?" The fairy whimpered, grabbing Coco’s hair strands tightly and frowning, "Do we have to move out of this village and go far away from here?"

If it cos down to it then that’s what we will do. Coco thought, answering Lala in her mind.

It didn’t take the man long and imdiately got back from upstairs, just in ti for Lala to hide in Coco’s hair and settle herself there.

"Here." The man approached the table and placed a wooden box down in front of Coco, "This one was toppled over when I found it on that old shop in Yolo Village which was the reason why the box was roughed up."

"Oooohh.. This is one fancy box if do say so myself." Coco mumbled as she touched the sides of the box, "Do you know what’s inside of this?"

"It’s a book." The man answered truthfully and huffed, "I wasted two whole weeks for a book and that diator didn’t even paid the second half of our agreent so this one has been stuck with ."

"How much was the paynt?" Coco asked, slipping her hand in her pocket.

"Two gold coins." He answered, making Coco withdrew her hand out of her pocket and place six gold coins on the table.

"That’s a lot—"

"What’s your na?" Coco cut him off and picked up the box.

"J.. Jonathan." He answered, eyes wide as he stared at coins on the table.

"You’re my friend now, Jonathan!"
