"Mom. . ." Guan Ming said as he sat next to Lu Ning.

He took her hand and gently stroked it as if trying to calm her down before she began to scold him.

"I thought you liked n?" Lu Ning asked as she looked at her son with a serious expression.

Camilla laughed when she heard what Lu Ning had to say. She couldn't believe that Guan Ming's mother thought he was gay.

"Mom, I like won, I like, no I love Camilla." Guan Ming said as he tried to defend himself.

"You what?" Camilla said as she looked at Guan Ming.

"You've always known how I feel for you, why are you surprised?" Guan Ming asked as he gave Camilla a confused look.

"Wait, so the person you wanted to visit was her?" Lu Ning asked. "Not the assistant of the CEO of the Reyes Group?"

"Mom, Camilla was also an assistant to the CEO, then the assistant to his son who is now the CEO." Guan Ming explained. "Now she's moved up and is the vice president for Mor Co."

"But Wu Jun said. . ." Lu Ning began to say as Guan Ming shook his head.

"Wu Jun is a liar that kept separated from Camilla." Guan Ming said as he raised his voice in anger. "Wu Jun opened his mouth on matters he didn't know."

"I thought the two of you were friends?" Lu Ning asked her son.

"Friends? Friends?" Guan Ming asked as he laughed like a maniac. "Mom, what kind of friend outs your secret. He had sohow found out that I liked an assistant from the Reyes Group, he imdiately assud it was a man. That sexist prick doesn't even think won should work!"

"You guys were always together." Lu Ning pointed out. "Even after your father forbade you from making any contact with this country you were always with Wu Jun."

"Mom, did you really not know?" Guan Ming asked his mother.

"Know what?" She asked.

"Mom, I was with the Wu's because Wu Jun's father was ntoring ." Guan Ming told his mother. "Wu Jun was jealous of , that's why he has tried everything to block from coming here. But with the Reyes Group getting more and more aggressive itt was inevitable."

"I need to call your dad." Lu Ning said as she stood up and got her phone.

"What do you an mom?" Guan Ming said as he looked at his mother.

"Wu Jun said he was here to help you take down the Reyes Group." Lu Ning told her son. "He ca over and told us that you were partnering with Lucius Ting because you wanted revenge on the Reyeses. We believed him, now I think he will help them instead of betraying them."

"Wait, wait, mom, don't make that call." Guan Mingg said as he took his mom's phone from her hand.

"No need to be so aggressive. I would have dropped it if you just asked." She said as she rolled her eyes at her son.

"Mom, I don't want revenge on the Reyes Group." Guan Ming said with a sigh as he handed the phone back to his mother.

"You don't?" She asked his as she glanced at Camilla.

"Ma'am, he really doesn't." Camilla explained.

"Wait, I've seen you in the news. Or was it in a file?" Lu Ning said as she looked closely at Camilla.

"Your mom is about to hate ." Camilla said with a frown as she looked at Guan Ming.

"No, you just need to explain everything, my love." Guan Ming told Camilla as he stretched his arm and pulled her close.

"Ma'am -" Camilla started to explain when Lu Ning held a hand up, stopping her.

"Calling ma'am makes feel old, just Ning, please." She said. "And seeing as my son seems to be smitten by you, I really think you should be more comfortable around ."

"Ning." Camilla said as she allowed the na to roll on her tongue. "Ning, the Reyes family has been nothing but nice to . They saved from my abusive parents, gave a ho, gave a job, gave a future, and they brought to guan Ming." Camilla said as she looked up at Guan Ming.

"So they didn't keep you apart? Suppress you? Abuse you?" Lu Ning asked Camilla.

"No." She said as she shook her head. "Cedric Reyes is like a brother to . I would do anything and everything for the Reyes family."

"And that brings us to the ss she is in right now." Guan Ming said as he rolled his eyes at Camilla.

"Behave." Lu Ning scolded her son. "Go on." She told Camilla with a kinder voice.

"Cedric and his friends are in a bit of a bind because of my biological brother." Camilla explained as she played with her fingers.

Guan Ming held her hand and shook his head.

"I'm here, my mom won't hurt you, no one will hurt you." He said as he tried to calm her nerves. It wasn't the ideal et the parents scenario, but it was what they got.

Camilla nodded and took a deep breath.

"My biological brother killed Cedric's mom, he also built a new enemy for them, and that man is Lucius Ting." Camilla said in an angry tone.

"That's where I saw you, you're supposed to be dating Lucius Ting." Lu Ning said with a gasp.

"That's the trouble she's in mom." Guan Ming said with a frown. "Please listen to her."

Lu Ning nodded wordlessly, at this point she knew to simply listen before passing judgent.

"To help Cedric and his friends I went against their wishes and against their plans. I wanted to help, I needed to help, I owe them way too much and they would never let repay them if I asked." Camilla said as she wiped a tear from her eyes.

"It's okay, you can tell ." Lu Ning told Camilla as she slowly got a grasp on the situation.

"I decided to fake date Lucius Ting, what I didn't expect was that Ming would hear about it and think I loved soone else. I don't like him, I hate him. He reminds him of Aiden, my eldest brother, he murdered Priscilla Reyes, for that he is not my brother." Camilla said as the water works began to flow from her eyes.

"We will get him Camilla, and when we do, you'll have your revenge.." Guan Ming said as he held a crying Camilla in his arms.
