When Cedric woke up the next day he was nursing the worst hangover of his life. He couldn't rember the last ti he drank so much. He cursed and blad Alexi for it, he wouldn't have gone out to drink if it weren't for the man and now he had to wake up earlier to see off his sister and brother-in-law.
When he finally rolled off the bed he found his wife rocking their son in her arms and laughing at him.
"Did I do anything stupid when I got ho?" He asked her.
"Aside from fall flat on your face on the bed? Nothing." Adrianna said with a laugh.
"I swear I will never drink that much again." Cedric groaned as he got up and hugged his wife from behind.
"Sounds like university Cedric all over again." Adrianna teased. "We're seeing Ayanna and Ray off today. Go take a shower and get dressed."
"Yes ma'am." Cedric said as he walked over to the bathroom to take a shower.
Cedric and Adrianna would et the newlyweds at the airport, they would be taking Ray's private plane and would be jetting off on their honeymoon. Emilio Reyes and Reyes Grandparents would also be there as well as Ray's parents. Cedric and Adrianna had decided to keep little Emilio at ho in order to avoid the chance that he may be spotted by the dia.
Cedric and Adrianna arrived at the airport ahead of everyone else, they did this to avoid the prying eyes of the dia who were inford that their favorite socialite couple would be leaving for their honeymoon.
When Cedric and Adrianna arrived they spotted the dia already lined up by the VIP entrance, they would pass by the employee entrance whose entrance would be at the other end of the airport. Normally they would pass this way, but since Ayanna's and Ray's wedding did well for the stocks of both the Reyes Group and the various Laurence family companies they decided to make a show of the happy couple.
Despite being low key, the two families still knew how to perform for the public to improve their sales and their stocks. Ayanna and Ray already had a following larger than most celebrities, for so reason the public was very much interested in the lifestyle of the rich and famous.
"I wish we could go on a trip like Ayanna and Ray." Adrianna said with a sigh as she leaned on her husband.
"I'll give you a proper wedding soday. I can't wait for the day I announce to everyone that we have always been husband and wife and that you've given a beautiful son." Cedric said as he gently kissed his wife on the lips.
Cedric and Adrianna had to wait ten minutes for everyone else to arrive, there were so many fans and mbers of the dia that the airport struggled to control the crowds. Eventually the VIPs managed to make it through and eventually join the couple in the lounge.
"I can't believe people would go that crazy over our honeymoon!" Ayanna complained as they arrived.
"Cedric, Adrianna." Ray said with a nod as they entered the lounge.
"How was it?" Cedirc asked his brother-in-law.
"Crazy!"Ayanna suddenly said. "A lot of them were actually looking for you!"
Cedric looked wearily at his wife. Adrianna just laughed at him. He was worried that Adrianna would get jealous of his fans.
"I only want one person." Cedric said with a grin as he pulled his wife to him.
"Well enough of your sappy displays of love." Emilio Reyes teased the two couples as he approached laughing.
"Dad, I'll miss you!" Ayanna said as she hugged her father.
"Make sure to co back with our great-grandchild!" Grandpa Emilio said as they walked towards the airplane.
"Grandpa!" Ayanna said with a blush.
"Dear, it's only natural for a new couple to have a lot of sex." Ray's mother, Amy So - Laurence said as she hugged her new daughter-in-law.
Soon the couple boarded the plane and waved goodbye to their wellwishers.
By the ti Cedric and the rest of the group left the airport the press and the fans had already left.
"I can't believe people are so obsessed with Ayanna and Ray's wedding." Adrianna told her husband.
"They want to get what they have a hard ti to achieve." Cedric said with a shrug. "Let drop you off at the office first." Cedric placed a gentle kiss on her head as the driver sped off Island's Inc.
When Cedric finally arrived at the office, he wore his disguise and nodded at Ian and Camilla who were waiting for him.
The first Cedric had to deal with at the office was all the work that had accumulated during his 'day off'.
It took Cedric the whole morning to go through all the backlog, when he finally finished it was already lunch ti so Ian ca in with so food.
"How's my afternoon schedule?" Cedric asked Ian as he ate his lunch.
"Quite packed. You missed a lot of etings yesterday so we need to catch up on them today." Ian told his boss. Ian and Camilla often ate lunch with Cedric in his office and they usually took this ti to catch up and be more casual.
"Sir." Camilla said as she ca in. "Capt. Damien is here to report sothing to you."
"But, lunch." Ian compalined making Cedric laugh.
Cedric placed away his lunch and placed on his disguise. He nodded at Camilla to let Capt. Damien in.
"Mr. Reyes." Capt. Damien said shaking Cedric's hand.
Cedric motioned to him to take a seat, Capt. Damien nodded and sat at the seat closest to Cedric's desk.
"To what pleasure do we owe your visit?" Cedric asked as he leaned back.
"A developnt in the investigation." Capt. Damien announced. Cedric called out for Ian and Camilla to join them.
"We followed all the leads and we discovered that the man owed all his money to just one loan shark. A Mr. Cruz" Capt. Damien reported.
"Cruz is an extrely common surna. How can you figure out who this person is?" Ian asked his friend.
Capt. Damien raised an eyebrow at Ian.
"So professional." Ian said rolling his eyes.
Cedric laughed, he knew that Ian and Capt. Damien were close friends but he didn't expect them to be this close.
"Have you learned anything about this loan shark?" Cedric asked.
"Yes, Mr. Reyes. He belongs to a network of loan sharks. We've traced them to a legitimate company." Capt. Damien explained. "MT Sumit, have you heard of them?"
