"Please, can you be serious?" Her voice turned cold, but at least she seed less nervous now.
"So, what exactly are we dealing with here? Did you offend so deity or sothing?" I shifted the conversation while maintaining a calm tone. I couldn't afford to let her see any fear in .
Perhaps if I managed to save her, she might develop feelings for , and that would be a win-win situation.
As for dying? Well, I had so many hidden trump cards up my sleeve that I was pretty sure I could survive this ordeal.
"Only soone like you would do that," she replied, her expression dripping with chilling atmosphere.
"Ti Wraiths , this are beings that maintain the balance of ti ." She explained.
The word echoed in my ear, and strangely, I didn't find it odd for sothing like that to exist. If people could really change the future or the past, it would create a paradox. So, it made more sense for sothing to prevent such occurrences in the na of order.
"Are they here for you?" I asked her. I hadn't done anything that could affect ti, so it seed unlikely that they were after .
"Yes,' She nodded.
"Zayen also saw the future, but she wasn't targeted like this," I said, confusion evident in my voice. If rely seeing the future triggered these Ti Wraiths, then almost all gifteds with precognition abilities would be punished.
"That's because of my request. The Ti Wraiths are preventing from telling you sothing because, unlike others, you can actually change the future if you wanted to," she replied with a sighed.
"This is all my fault," she added, her expression weighed down by guilt. Perhaps she was blaming herself for the deaths of so many people.
'This girl is too soft, 'I sighed to myself. There was no use in crying over others death . It wont change anything.
"So, how do we defeat these Ti Wraiths?" I asked again, but before she could respond, another blinding white laser beam sliced through the air, forcing to teleport again.
For so reason, I felt like they were only here to kill Sung Hei, not .
"It wont stop until I'm eliminated . And we can't kill it," she replied with resignation.
"But if you die, then I won't be able to gain your power, so it would change the future, right?" I mused to myself, it just does not make any sense .
"That's not true. If I die today, you will automatically inherit my power," she added, her tone somber.
"I hate to admit it, but our powers and lives are connected to you since our birth," she said, her tone resigned as she accepted her fate. "So you can just let be. You don't really have to save ," she added, before flying away.
The air crackled with tension as the laser beam pierce the air, larger and more nacing than before. It was clear that the Ti Wraiths were serious in their mission, intent on eliminating her in a single strike.
*BLINK!
"What are you doing!" she exclaid, finding herself in my arms.
"Just let die. If you don't, they'll just continue to hunt down and more people will be killed," she pleaded, her voice filled with frustration.
"Who gave you permission to die? I own you, so you can't die without my approval," I said, gripping her shoulder firmly and locking eyes with her. A blush crept onto her face, and her heart began to race.
"Idiot," she replied with a frustrated tone, but I could see in her eyes that she was actually happy.
"Calling an idiot is like insulting 100% of the human population in the world, you know," I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood and make her laugh.
"I hate your guts," she said, rolling her eyes at .
"By the way, with your ability, you could turn into anything, right?" I asked her, a plan beginning to take shape in my mind. The gears in my head turned as I mulled over multiple solutions.
"As long as it's not sothing over the top, yes," she replied, a hint of curiosity in her tone.
"Then can you turn into a sword?" I asked.
"A sword? Why?" she questioned, clearly puzzled by my request.
"Is it a yes or no?" I pressed.
"Yes , "
"Then transform into one, and make sure you keep your mind and soul intact," I instructed her firmly. She didn't quite grasp my reasoning, but with her fate sealed regardless, she nodded in agreent.
Unfortunately, the Ti Wraith seed to suspect sothing, and the white laser beam strikes beca more frequent. I teleported from one place to another to dodge. I could have used my skill to absorb the attack, but I didn't even know where it was coming from, so I decided to keep my skill as a secret weapon.
As for Sung Hei, it was taking her a long ti to transform, but slowly she was turning smaller and smaller, changing on an atomic level.
It was really impressive to witness her power in action; it was way more powerful than my shapeshifting ability. Eventually, she transford into a silver one handed broad sword with a beautifully crafted rose design on the hilt.
I held her in my hands and tested her weight, swinging her experintally.
"Don't tell you plan to use as a weapon?" she asked in disbelief .
"Don't worry, I just want to try sothing," I reassured her with a mischievous grin, hoping to ease her concern.
With a dramatic act, I raised her, pretending to be a swashbuckling hero in an old adventure tale.
"Hya!" I exclaid, as I swung the sword through the air with exaggerated bravado.
"What are you doing?" she asked again, clearly not expecting my antics.
"Just trying out my new sword" I replied with a grin.
"Stop playing around !" She exclaid.
"Okay," I replied, and with a swift motion, I flung the sword into my black hole storage, watching as it disappeared into the void.
As the sword vanished, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself at my genius plan
'Well, that's one way to handle things,' I muttered, feeling a sense of satisfaction at my impromptu solution.
As expected, I did not received any attacks again. It seed that my 500IQ plan had successfully diverted the danger away from .
