Above the heavens of the Citadel were hovering fleets of strategic ships encircling the cityscape, their shadows dimming the skyline. Deep inside the foundation of the towering structure was the command and control of the United Military. Alarms blared as holograms of news outlets crowded every corner. All of them were reporting about the upcoming war against the League of Humanity in Europa after the mass destructive attack of Barako where thousands of military personnel lost their lives. Images of a looming boulder were displayed, the supposed weapon utilized by the Magus Tower.
Alongside the news reports were intelligence briefings from various vanguard forces scattered across the border between Europa and the World Governnt. There were no movents in regards to their adversary's navy, but important figures from several mber nations of the League had already been evacuated from their abodes. Without a doubt, the two great nations were preparing for a war. A conflict that would sink entire continental regions into damnation.
On the other hand, high-ranking commanders of the United Military were called into the command and control center of the foundation. From generals, admirals, marshals, chief of staffs, and intelligence directors. Everyone was summoned under the directive of the Authority as it was about ti for them to convene in the first world war assembly of the United World Governnt.
Seated in an expansive round table, the higher echelon of the United Military awaited for the arrival of the Authority. An eerie silence pervaded the war assembly as footsteps echoed from a distance. The muted steps attracted the attention of the high commanders, their eyes peering into the shadows where the Authority and the Dragon of Liberation erge. Each were properly dressed for the occasion, primarily in military clothing of their respective ranks.
Abraham and Laplace took a seat in their respective chairs, finally starting the first world war assembly of the United World Governnt. Gazing at each and every commander under his command, the Authority took a deep breath and uttered with a voice that commanded respect. "As you have already been briefed, the League of Humanity has an initiated a preemptive strike against our forces in Barako, provoking casualties that touch the thousands."
"The weapon of mass destruction has been designated as Summit Impact. It is capable of spatially inserting a gargantuan boulder into a targeted situation, crushing everything and terraforming the landscape as a result. The WMD managed to pierce through our spatial defenses, signifying that the Magus Tower has made developnt in their spatial technology. Sooner or later, they will be capable of utilizing the Summit Impact everywhere in every mont."
Following his announcent, gasps echoed throughout the world war assembly hall. The higher echelons of the World Governnt and the United Military were astounded to hear the potent weapon of their adversaries, prompting for others to call for war. In their minds, if such technology kept developing. It wouldn't take long for the League of Humanity to conquer them through annihilation. There was no more worse fate than that.
The Authority gestured to them be silence, to which all followed in a di. He looked at every one of them and remarked. "Our weapons has been transferred to designated locations throughout the sea of Europa. They will be utilize and target military installations of the League of Humanity. 586 Targets have been chosen. Estimated casualties are five million military personnel."
"The vote shall start." The world war assembly finally began. Higher echelons of the United Military and World Governnt anonymously voted through hidden buttons over their desks. A couple seconds passed as the Authority watched over them with the indifference of soone standing and looking over from the heavens above.
It didn't take long for the voting session to end. A holographic image was displayed into the center of the world war assembly where over ninety-one percent high echelon mbers were in agreent to the war against the League of Humanity. With the developnt of the superweapon, Summit Impact, sothing needed to be done. Otherwise, the United World Governnt will be overwheld sooner or later by their adversaries.
The Authority nodded in satisfaction and spoke. "With the decision of this assembly. An hour from now, the United World Governnt will declare war against the League of Humanity. The United Military will begin first strike protocol against the military forces scattered throughout Europa. Let us ensure our victory in this battle. For it shall decide the fate of our world."
Without any hesitation or delay, the Authority left his post and stepped out of the world war assembly. The higher echelons of the World Governnt were left to discussed about the upcoming conflict against the League of Humanity. Even though most of them rarely thought about war, they develop their military as per the directive of the Authority.
Outside of the world war assembly, Abraham and Laplace walked alongside each other, their steps naturally dignified and radiating authority. While strolling with one another, the dragoness glanced at her husband and remarked. "The epilogue has finally begun for the world. Whether or not it becos liberated depends entirely on the United World Governnt."
Abraham looked at his beautiful white-haired wife and smiled. "Stalling wouldn't solve the problem. However, the creation of the WMD was beyond our expectation. I previously thought they would be relying on their Sovereigns to deal as much as damage as possible. It appears that I was wrong. I underestimated how much power the Magus Tower held."
"What do you want to do?" She tilted her head, her golden eyes gazing at her husband's. As the second strongest individual within the United World Governnt and the nation's guardian deity, she was responsible for ensuring its security and prosperity. The dragoness wondered what her husband wanted her to do. After all, there was no need to hold back anymore.
"The United Military can handle the supercontinent of Europa, but the Frontier will be troubleso if they dared to cause trouble to our borders. I want you to take care of them once they step out of line. Any options are acceptable. We are currently at war, after all. There isn't a need for hesitance." Abraham answered, prompting her supple lips to curve into a smile.
"Alright, you want to take care of the back yard." Laplace nodded before adding. "I heard about a newly-discovered monster within the Frontier. It was designated as Island Eater. Rumors had it that hundreds of kingdoms and nations have already been destroyed by it. The Expeditionary Fleet should be able to handle the threat, right?" She looked at her husband, who nodded.
"The Expeditionary Fleet can deal with the Island Eater. In fact, they have already damaged it when the abomination sunk another island in the Frontier. It should buy ti for nearby nations to evacuate. Besides, they have our daughter with them and the First Magus in existence." Abraham smiled at his wife as the two of them kissed with warmth and passion.
"And they will also have the assistance of my wife. I doubt anything in the world can handle the both of you." He grinned at her, causing the dragoness to slightly blushed. No matter how powerful the two of them had beco. So things never changed between them. One was an easygoing middle-aged man, the other was a passionate beautiful dragon.
"I shall take our word for it." She nudged his nose before walking away, leaving him behind. Abraham gazed upon his gorgeous wife and took a deep breath. His eyes narrowed and beca cold. He would do everything to protect his family. Even if it was staining his hands with blood. The thought alone made him sigh, wondering if he had truly changed.
The old him would have been horrified of what he had beco. He wasn't as naive and kind as before. To be honest, he was afraid of becoming the man his wife didn't love. It was a dangerous and crushing feeling. But there wasn't anything he could do about it as this was the path he had chosen to take. It was ti to end things once and for all.
For the future of his family and the United World Governnt, there mustn't be adversaries wishing for their collapse. Such enemies must be eliminated from existence. Whether it'd be arrogant kings, ruthless sovereigns, and sly warlords.
'To think that I started in a small island with nothing but the Naval Gacha System.' Abraham's lips curved into a subtle smile, recollecting the mories of the past years. The United Navy had grown to beco the United World Governnt. They defeated Colonial Dominions one after another, unifying the sea regions into one political entity. Dozens of species had joined them, becoming a part of their culture.
These threads of destiny have beco interlinked to him. It was an honor and a great responsibility. It was ti for them to stand in front of the throne of the primordial world and decide who would sit over it. Whether it'd be the United World Governnt or the League of Humanity.
Only the future could tell.
"Aren't I right, Systema?" He muttered under his breath as a monotone voice echoed throughout his mind.
