Below the Sovereigns of Humanity were the Rulers, these individuals were kings, emperors, regents, and lords of various nations who were a part of the League of Humanity. So of these rulers stood at the very top of the league. These were the Emperor of the Albion Empire, the Monarch of the Augustan Kingdom, the Regent of the Iron Throne, and the Lord of the Principality.

These individuals were teeming with power and authority. Although they weren't comparable against the Sovereigns of Humanity, they weren't to be underestimated as their wield the power of their respective nations and brandish it as they please. In terms of power, they were more or less rivals of the Apostles. Though, unlike the Apostles, they wield significant authority in humanity.

In simpler terms, the Rulers were the managers of humanity. They were the governors and ensured that humans would prosper in the golden age of exploration and opportunity. However, tis have changed and centuries had passed since the beginning of the golden age. Perhaps, the conclusion for such an era had finally co in the form of the heretical nation, the United World Governnt.

Sowhere within the Augustan Kingdom, the Monarch of Blades rested in his throne and gazed narrowly unto the endless expansive hall of his castle. The great magister has arrived, an Archmagus from the Magus Tower. It seed that terrible news had co for humanity.

The great magister sauntered through the halls filled to the brim with towering pillars. His robes swayed with every step while his grayish beard shifted with flair. He gazed onward, eting the narrowed eyes of the Monarch. There was a tinge of fear inside him, but he represented the Magus Tower of the Augustan Kingdom and must not be pressed by it.

"Grand Monarch of Blades, I am the Grand Magister of the Augustan Magus Tower..." He lightly bowed to the Monarch and looked up. "And I stand here in your presence to report grave news." His words resounded through the throne, earning the furrowed eyebrows of the Monarch. Grave news was to be expected, but what it was remained to be questioned.

The Monarch of Blades expected it to be news regarding the movents of Daemons in the Typhon Region, or the activity of neighboring species preparing for war. Another continental war was about to begin and engulfed the continent of Europa for the third ti. The second continental war already brough bloodshed that took a quarter of humanity's population.

So races even went extinct during the second continental war and several expanse were erased from the world, forgotten into the annals of ti. The elves and the dwarves were thoroughly preparing themselves, and humanity was the sa as well. But the introduction of the daemons in the Typhon Region uniting themselves was of great inconvenience to the Rulers.

"I wish you to hear , Grand Monarch of Blades. The golden age of humanity is reaching its conclusion." When such words escaped the mouth of the great magister, the air beca heavy and tense. He could hear his pounding heart, yet he continued speaking. "The Colonial Dominions of the New World are falling one after another. We are losing our influence in the Ferus Sea."

"How can that be possible? There are no forces within the Ferus Sea capable of handling the might of the Colonial Dominions. Even those ancient kingdoms of the Frontier never dared to take back what was lost from them after the death of their leader, the Dragon of Destruction. There should be peace, not this." The Monarch's voice was akin to a thunderclap, echoing throughout the hall.

The ears of the great magister distortedly rang, but he remained calm despite anxiousness peering itself into his heart. "It is the heretical nation, Grand Monarch." The mont the Monarch heard of the words 'heretical nation' his eyes narrowed even further. "Heretical nation, huh? You an that dirty nation of beastfolks and humans playing house together?"

"Yes, Grand Monarch. The war effort proposed by the Albion Empire and partaken by several Colonial Dominions have been crushed thoroughly by the heretical nation. Casualties have amount to over hundreds of thousands of n, and it is counting up. One after another, the Magus Tower loses more branches in the Ferus Sea. Sooner or later, it would darkened."

"Our influence would be completely lost and resources from the New World would be squandered. Without the products and materials produced from the New World, there is no doubt that the League of Humanity will undergo another economic recession. The golden age such end, followed by the dark age of strife." The sa information had been sent throughout every Magus Tower.

The heretical nation, United World Governnt, was the greatest threat that humanity might ever faced. It was growing ever more larger and stronger, which ant that its existence could destroy the thin balance of great powers within the Continent of Europa. This signifying that the clock towards the third continental war was ticking. And the countdown was nearing its final tick.

The Monarch rely placed his thumbs below his chin and carefully thought about it. The mont humanity would lose the New World. They would lose their only advantages against the great races that surrounded them. It seed that the world was slowly throwing them into another continental war, and with the advantages of humanity, they had been cursed to lose most of it.

"What does the Magus Tower propose, Great Magister? Shall we gather the fleets of the four esteed nations and mount an invasion against the heretics?" The Monarch of Blades questioned, desiring to hear the plans that the Magus Tower had in mind. After all, these magi wouldn't report such terrible news without proposals along the way.

"We must do the opposite, Grand Monarch. We must prepare for an invasion against the heretics and adapt. Their technology are growing while we remain stagnant. We must augnt ourselves and beco much more stronger. Otherwise, the results will not be so different than the Colonial Dominions." The proposal of the great magister astounded the apathetic Monarch.

Preparing for a defensive war wasn't sothing he expected to hear from the Magus Tower. After all, they had always been the forefront of expansion. As long as humanity expanded its sovereignty, the Magus Tower would always be there. They were an offensive organization, and it was for this reason why the League of Humanity grew ever more stronger by the centuries.

"What has happen for the Magus Tower to reach such a proposal, Great Magister? Are the technology of the heretical nation so advanced in comparison to ours, or even to the dwarves?" The Monarch of Blade asked as he felt strange about the proposal of defense instead of offense. He wanted to know the clear reasoning of the Magus Tower.

"I will not underestimate them, Grand Monarch. I shall tell the truth deserve and the knowledge we have discovered. They have long surpassed us in terms of magical technology. The Magus Tower stands no chance against them without the support of the Sovereigns." It was a dumbfounding remark, but it made the Monarch realized how troubleso the circumstance were.

"If you say so, Great Magister. The Augustan Kingdom will support the endeavors of the Magus Tower whether it'd be economically and militarily. Any research in magical technology will be subsidize by the kingdom." The Monarch nodded and commanded, his words resounding and grand. Wealth, power, and authority. None of it was a problem for the Augustan Kingdom.

"Your support will not be wasted, Grand Monarch of Blades." The great magister finally kneeled as the wind surged and shifted his robes. The Magus Tower and the League of Humanity was preparing for the inevitable continental war and the invasion of the heretical nation. They will be ready for the enemies of humanity.

Sowhere else, inside the Towering Monolith of Iron was the throne of the Steel Regent. He gazed before a female Archmagus, whose report was no less different than her fellow Archmagus. The Steel Regent was far from being delighted by the news and desired to directly support the advancents of technology that counter the machines of the heretical nation.

The Iron Throne was the most advance nation within the League of Humanity, rely slightly behind the Dwarves. It was for this reason why the Regent wished to personally assist the research against the intriguing technology of the heretical nation, the United World Governnt. It would further enhance the technological prowess of the Iron Throne and ensure he wasn't ignorant.

Especially against an advanced heretical nation from the New World.

anwhile, within the vast Holy Church of the Principality, the Lord of Principle lounged upon his silver throne while the hymn of choirs echoed in the background. An Archmagus kneeled before him, baring troubleso news. The Colonial Dominions have been pronounced as a lost cause and will be consud by the heretical nation. It made him wonder about the opinions of their Gods.

The Sovereigns of Humanity.

Though, the Archmagus who knelt before him rely answered a single world. 'Unhappy' The Sovereigns weren't thrilled that the New World has been lost to so heretical nation. For this reason, as an avid supporter of the Sovereigns, the Lord of Principle didn't hesitate to declare his support for the Magus Tower in advancing their magical technology.

There was no doubt that with the recognition of the Magus Tower regarding the advanced technology of the heretical nation, the United World Governnt. A significant event had begun before the inevitable war between two opposing factions. It was none other than an Arms Race.

To ensure their superiority over one another, each must augnt their technologies into greater heights. Otherwise, they would be consud by their adversaries. It was a fate none would wish upon themselves. A path they'd rather burn into cinder.

But the beginning of the Arms Race would rely ensure that no ashes remain afterward.
