Visiting?

It was night and raining, not a very suitable ti to visit as he had a child with him, and so Nanzhi didn't expect for them to co, much less et her in the park, and how long had he been here?

Realizing sothing, she looked around, particularly at Lin Weihao's sides.

A hand clasped her fingers.

"Sister!"

Nanzhi looked down and finally found what or rather who she was searching for.

It was Lin Yicheng.

The little kid was wearing a blue bonnie bear raincoat; his poncho on top had two erect ears, and he was holding a small umbrella with a similar design.

His bubbly appearance and bright eyes, coupled with her raingear that serves as a costu, made him cuter.

Because she was an only child, Nanzhi was a bit jealous of those who had siblings. Unfortunately, her mother was unable to bear a child after giving birth to her.

Lin Yicheng was a sensible and kind child; it was not hard to like him. Nanzhi had regarded him as a young brother she never got to have.

"Sister, I missed you. Please don't leave without saying anything to Yicheng again."

His pouty mouth made his cheeks bulge. Nanzhi's fingers moved on her own, and it lightly pinched those soft cheeks. "I missed Yicheng too. In fact, I made sothing for you."

"Really?" Lin Yicheng's eyes brightened another notch, and he grasped her fingers tighter as if he let go; she would take back what she said.

In front of such a cutie, even Nanzhi's heart that was hardened by the last days softened.

"Yes, but you need to co with in my house." Lu Nanzhi nodded with a smile. She may not be able to kidnap, but she can indulge herself. At the sa ti, she can find a way to give them the supplies.

She placed her hands under his arms before scooping him up. The little kid was surprisingly heavy despite his small stature. His uncle fed him well.

The happiness was evident in the little boy's face. He straddled Nanzhi's waist with his little legs and hugged her neck with one of his hands, while the other hand raised the umbrella higher to cover them both from the rain with difficulty.

Yincheng pouted in sadness. If only his arms were a little longer!

Perceiving his thoughts, Nanzhi lightly laughed and took the small umbrella from Lin Yicheng and tilted it at his side.

Lin Yicheng took the chance to burrow his face onto her neck.

Looking at the small bundle of joy in her arms, Nanzhi's heart was filled with soft cotton.

Out of the blue, she heard Lin Yicheng mumble, "Sister, you sll nice... like my mom."

Hearing that remark, Nanzhi secretly slled herself, and besides the scent of damp rain and the lingering scent of the braised pork, fried chicken, and spices, she couldn't sll anything else.

Nanzhi stopped sniffing when she felt even breaths and the little arms loosening their hold on her neck.

She looked down and noticed the little dumpling had closed his eyes, appearing to be asleep.

Her first instinct was to look at Weihao, and only then did she notice that the other side had been silently staring at her.

The angle of his head was sloping down, making half of his face buried in the darkness, but she could feel his gaze fixatedly at her.

Her gaze fell on Lin Weihao's shoulders, and under the artificial light, the dampness on his shoulders beca conspicuous.

Her eyes looked up, and when she saw the way he was holding the umbrella, the light in her eyes changed and she spoke, "Actually, since it's getting late, how about coming to my house for dinner?"

It was Lin Yicheng who agreed first.

"Alright, Sister!" The little boy retrieved his head from Nanzhi's neck, surprising Nanzhi.

Lin Weihao spoke, curling his lips, "If Miss Lin doesn't mind, then I won't be polite."

On the fence of the park, behind the lush bushes, Feng Ran and Pei Qian, Lin Weihao's other friend were astonished, looking through the scene dozens of ters from them.

Feng Ran's jaws dropped to the ground. He couldn't believe what he's seeing. "Please tell I'm dreaming. That is not Brother Lin! The last ti I was soaked by the rain and sought refuge in him, he kicked out for soiling the carpet and didn't even offer an umbrella!"

Pei Qian gave him a deadpan look. "You were also drenched in mud at that ti. Even I would have kicked you to the curb if you dare to step in my mother's carpet."

Feng Ran cast him a hurtful stare. "Are you despising too?"

Pei Qian ignored him and returned his sight to the scene ahead.

If Nanzhi was here, she would recognize him as the dic who complinted her bandaging skills.

Contrary to Lin Weihao's striking appearance and Feng Ran's frivolous looks, Pei Qian's appearance was more scholarly.

He was also stupefied as Feng Ran, and he couldn't help but ask, "Since when did they beco close?" Initially, he thought Brother Lin was just being good to the woman because of the life debts, but it seems that is not the case.

His feeling might have been deeper than gratitude.

Feng Ran didn't have an answer to that: "Don't ask . I'm just as clueless as you are!"

The bench Feng Ran and Pei Qian were occupying is close to the entrance of the park, where a Victorian-style tal arc painted white was built. The pathway leads to the main entry of the Empire Residential Building.

Residents love to take this route as it also allows them to see the hyacinths.

At this ti, Xiao Lizi covered from head to toe and with a mask on had only just co back after withdrawing cash from a nearby ATM that her agent had only transferred and buying a takeout when she noticed the two n.

Upon taking a closer look, she noticed one of them instantly.

Surprisingly, it was Feng Ran! The owner of the biggest and most successful entertainnt company!

What is he doing here?
