Orochimaru had just returned to his original body. Maybe he’d spent too long soaking in the nutrient solution—his brain waterlogged and his mind sluggish.
And of all tis, this was the mont Uchiha Hikaru chose to drop such world-shattering information on him.
It was like discharging lightning into standing water—a direct torpedo blast to Orochimaru’s brain, triggering a total cognitive overload.
He stood there, dazed, as if his entire thought process had short-circuited.
Hikaru, ever the considerate one, thought about it for a mont—and decided to just go all in.
Since he’s already confused, why not confuse him completely? Better to get it over with now than let him recover, only to break his brain again later. That would just be cruel, he reasoned.
So, just as Orochimaru was struggling to comprehend how Hashirama’s cells—so densely packed with Yang chakra—could possibly replenish the Yin chakra of the Sharingan, Hikaru kindly delivered the next ntal deathblow.
"In fact, the Uchiha and Senju clans were originally one family."
Orochimaru: ??? o((⊙﹏⊙))o???
Hikaru: ╮(╯_╰)╭
"It’s recorded on the stone tablet passed down through the Uchiha clan," Hikaru continued smoothly.
"Legend says a celestial being descended to Earth—a rabbit goddess nad Kaguya."
"Kaguya fell in love with a human and gave birth to two sons: the legendary Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo, and his younger brother, Hamura."
"But Kaguya’s rule beca tyrannical, steeped in bloodshed and cruelty. The two brothers ultimately joined forces to seal her away—on the moon."
"Hamura remained on the moon to guard the seal, while Hagoromo taught the people of the world how to use chakra. Thus, the shinobi world was born."
By this point, Orochimaru was genuinely starting to question whether he was in a genjutsu. How had they gone from a technical discussion about Sharingan chakra dynamics to ancient divine mythology?
The Sage of Six Paths had a brother?
Kaguya was a rabbit goddess?
He had read countless ancient scrolls, but never anything like this.
And before he could fully process it, Hikaru doubled down.
Hikaru: (〃’▽’〃) "Orochimaru, I’m doing this for your own good. Really. Would I ever mislead you?"

"Later," Hikaru continued, "the Sage of Six Paths had two sons—Indra, the elder, and Asura, the younger."
"Indra was gifted from birth. He inherited the Sage’s ocular powers—the Sharingan—and even created the first ninjutsu seals. But because no one around him could match him, he grew arrogant and isolated."
"Asura, on the other hand, didn’t inherit any eye powers. What he did inherit was his father’s powerful physical body. But he was slow-witted and relied on others to accomplish anything."
"It was that humility, though, that drew people to him. He learned to work with others, and in doing so, gained many loyal followers."
"When it ca ti to choose a successor, Hagoromo gave them both the sa task: bring water to a drought-stricken village."
"Indra used brute strength to break open the ground, drew up water, and left."
"Asura worked side-by-side with the villagers for half a year before they finally dug their well."
"In the end, Hagoromo chose Asura as his successor. Naturally, Indra was furious."
Hikaru paused, letting the tension hang in the air.
"The Sage brought Indra to see the village he had helped. Because the water was so easy to access, greed took root. People began hoarding it. Fights broke out. The village was a ss—chaotic and broken."
"But Asura’s village, bonded through shared hardship, remained united and at peace."
Indra wasn’t convinced. He didn’t believe Asura had the strength to lead. And so, they fought.
Indra, with the Mangekyō Sharingan, overwheld Asura in combat.
But Asura, supported by his allies, managed to defeat him.
And with that defeat, Indra’s hatred turned into a curse—one he swore would be passed down through his descendants.
"To this day," Hikaru said slowly, "the descendants of Indra... are the Uchiha clan."
Orochimaru sat in stunned silence, his earlier thoughts about Yin-Yang Release drifting into oblivion.
"So... the Senju are the descendants of Asura?"
"Yes," Hikaru confird. "It wasn’t until the Uchiha and Senju finally reconciled that Konoha was born."
"I don’t need to explain the Warring States Period to you. The records are in the village archives."
Orochimaru stared off into the distance, lost in thought.
Everything Hikaru had said—though wild—lined up too well to be nonsense.
If the Uchiha and Senju shared a common ancestor, then the Mangekyō Sharingan and Hashirama’s so-called Sage Body were both inherited powers from the Sage of Six Paths.
That ans... the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan—created by combining two Mangekyō from the sa bloodline—is only one path. The other is using the power of the Sage’s body to sustain and restore the eyes.
Either way... you can maintain the Mangekyō without losing your sight!
Orochimaru’s mind whirled again—he was off the rails now, thoughts spiraling faster than he could process them.
Then a wild idea struck him, and he turned sharply to Hikaru.
"The Sage of Six Paths’ eyes were the Rinnegan, weren’t they? But the leader of the Akatsuki—he has the Rinnegan too. Don’t tell ... is he the Sage’s illegitimate child?!"
Hikaru, parched from all the explaining, reached into his ninja pouch, pulled out a water bottle, and took a long gulp.
But before he could swallow, Orochimaru’s absolutely unhinged question hit him—
"Pfft—!"
A full mouthful of water sprayed out into the air.
