Kurogaya’s body flew backward under the impact of the violent ninjutsu, crashing heavily onto the ground.

A sharp pain shot through his chest, his internal organs feeling as if they had been shattered.

The mont he opened his mouth, blood mixed with fragnts of flesh gushed out. His eyes were bloodshot, and his fingers clutched the ground.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stand up.

"Hmph."

The enemy’s arrogant face appeared in his vision.

A ninja from Sunagakure , wearing a Sunagakure forehead protector, looked down at his opponent on the ground.

He didn’t deliver a finishing blow because there was no need. This person was already beyond saving. Killing him would only be a waste of his ti.

The Sunagakure ninja quickly turned and rejoined the battlefield.

"Cough, cough..."

A weak roar escaped Kurogaya’s lips. Gradually, his breath grew weaker and weaker, and he could barely keep his eyes open.

"Kurogaya!"

A familiar face appeared in Kurogaya’s vision.

It was... Yuma!

A faint smile appeared on Kurogaya’s face.

Yuma didn’t hesitate for a mont, imdiately picking up Kurogaya’s body and placing him in front of Haruki, who was hidden behind a rock.

Haruki’s hands imdiately pressed onto Kurogaya’s chest, and a green light emanated from his hands, enveloping Kurogaya’s wounds.

Cursed Energy quickly healed Kurogaya’s wounds, which were so severe that his organs were visible.

Kurogaya slowly opened his eyes and looked at Yuma in front of him. "You’re also in the afterlife? How unfortunate, Yuma."

Yuma’s face darkened. "Look again."

Before Kurogaya could lower his gaze, he felt a sharp pain, and he frowned, wondering how a dead person could still feel pain. Realizing sothing was wrong, he looked at his chest.

His damaged organs were perfectly healed, and the bloody wounds gradually healed.

Kurogaya stared dumbfounded at Haruki in front of him. It was like a bolt of lightning striking his head.

Kurogaya instantly blurted out the na of the child in front of him, "Haruki!"

Haruki glanced at him and smiled. "Don’t worry. I’ll heal you."

He hadn’t expected to be so famous among the ninjas of Agakure.

Kurogaya recalled what Hanzo had said. Initially, he had doubts about a child possessing such miraculous dical Ninjutsu, but now...

A miracle was happening right before his eyes.

Coming to this battlefield was truly worth it!

"Alright!"

Haruki withdrew his hands and said to Kurogaya, "I need your help."

"Okay." Kurogaya said decisively.

Even if it ant going through mountains of blades and seas of fire, he would do it. After all, Haruki had given him a secind life.

"There are many other ninjas injured, help bring them over." Haruki said to Kurogaya with concern.

Kurogaya’s body trembled, and he suddenly thought of sothing, asking, "How did you get to the battlefield?"

Haruki didn’t speak, lowering his gaze.

Kurogaya looked deeply at Haruki.

To save people, a child dared to co to such a dangerous battlefield alone...

[Your companion Cursed spirit Rika’s rank has increased to 50%]

Haruki hadn’t expected such a pleasant surprise.

Kurogaya’s face was full of smiles, and his eyes gazed softly at Haruki. "I will definitely protect you."

Such a strong and brave child! He was the future of their Agakure!

Haruki: "..."

It was hard to say who would protect whom.

Kurogaya left the hidden rock and went to the core battlefield, where ninjutsu was flying chaotically, to retrieve bodies.

Yuma stayed behind to protect Haruki. Haruki couldn’t bear to see him idle and urged, "You go save people too."

Yuma remained unmoved and said, "I need to stay and protect you."

Haruki stared at him, earnestly persuading, "But if you bring one more person, I can save one more person, and they won’t have to die. I don’t want any ninja from Agakure to sacrifice themselves. No one will find hiding here."

Yuma couldn’t help but recall the pain and despair he felt when he was in a life-or-death situation. If possible, he didn’t want his comrades to experience that feeling.

Yuma wavered.

Haruki pressed on, "Once there’s danger, I’ll run out, and you’ll protect ."

Yuma looked around, no ninja noticed them here.

"You must be careful." Yuma cautioned Haruki.

Haruki nodded.

Yuma looked at Haruki with lingering concern, then turned and left from behind the rock. His figure swiftly moved through the battlefield.

After Yuma left, the black mist swirling around Haruki’s ring grew denser.

A dark shadow enveloped Haruki.

"Agakure actually has such a powerful dical ninja hidden away."

"What a pity."

"Kid, bla your luck for being from Agakure."

The dripping blade reflected Haruki’s exceptionally calm eyes.

The Sunagakure ninja, Tsuchigumo, moved his wrist, and the long blade imdiately slashed towards his neck.

Boom!

The long blade was caught by a pale blue giant claw. Tsuchigumo’s pupils slowly moved upwards, his body stiff.

Rika’s figure erged from the ring. A deafening shriek erupted from Rika’s blood-filled mouth, lined with sharp teeth.

Tsuchigumo’s body exploded into a mist of blood before Haruki’s eyes.

Haruki: "..."

Too violent, Rika.

Haruki looked to his side. Kurogaya and Yuma were each holding an injured ninja, looking warily at Rika in front of him.

"Haruki. Don’t move."

"Leave it to us."

Kurogaya and Yuma put down the ninja they were carrying, gripped their weapons tightly, and their murderous gazes fell upon Rika.

Haruki reached out to Rika, and Kurogaya and Yuma’s pupils contracted. They imdiately rushed towards Haruki, wanting to shield him.

The next second, Rika obediently allowed Haruki to pat her head, then transford into black mist and returned to the ring.

Kurogaya: "..."

Yuma: "..."

What happened?

"Quickly save them." Haruki said to Kurogaya and Yuma.

Only then did the two rember their dying comrades and carried them to Haruki.

A green light glowed in Haruki’s hands. He explained to Kurogaya and Yuma, who were staring at him intently, "That was my fiancée, Rika ."

Kurogaya: "..."

Yuma: "..."

Was it an illusion? Or were their ears malfunctioning?

Yuma rubbed his ears.

Haruki’s lips twitched, noticing his action, and he simply explained, "After Rika died, she stayed by my side in that form to protect ."

Protect?

Kurogaya blinked, the scene just now looked like the monster was trying to kill Haruki.

Yuma’s gaze fell to the ground. He picked up a long blade, his expression tense. "Soone just attacked you?"

Haruki nodded. "It was a ninja from Sunagakure, but Rika already killed him."
