"The most important thing is that nearly half of the reinforcents from Konohagakure are Uchiha clan shinobi, with a significant number from the Hyūga clan as well. Both clans produce exceptionally powerful and troubleso opponents."

A jōnin added to the discussion.

The reputation of the Uchiha and Hyūga clans was well known in Agakure.

The Uchiha, with their Sharingan, possessed genjutsu so powerful that resisting it was nearly impossible—one mistake and the battle would be over. anwhile, the Hyūga clan's Byakugan allowed them to see chakra flow and strike critical tenketsu points. In close combat, against an opponent of similar skill, defeat was almost guaranteed.

Not to ntion the other Konoha clans, each possessing unique and formidable secret techniques, making them just as difficult to deal with.

"That truly is a terrifying force," Ryūgen muttered, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"But no matter how strong or fearso our enemy may be, we must defend this fortress town. Even if it costs us our lives, Tetsuishi Town must not fall. It is far too important to the village."

His voice sharpened with determination.

"As long as we hold Tetsuishi Town, we can keep Konoha's shinobi trapped here, preventing them from advancing deeper into our country. If we fail, our nation and our people will suffer the devastation of war."

"No matter what happens, we must defend this town."

"Judging by Konoha's current numbers, as long as they don't receive further reinforcents, holding this fortress is not impossible."

"If we stay within the walls and refuse to engage them in open combat, breaking through our defenses will be nearly impossible—unless they send significantly more shinobi."

"However, that is unlikely. Even though the Land of Fire has invaded the Land of Rain, their available forces are still limited. They must also protect their own territory."

"Furthermore, we have the secret weapon given to us by the leader. Once unleashed, it will wipe out at least half of the Konoha forces attacking us."

"As long as we proceed with caution, there's no way Konoha can take Tetsuishi Town with their current forces."

A veteran elite jōnin offered his insight.

"Captain Tanpaku is right. If we stay put, Tetsuishi Town will remain nearly impenetrable. Konoha's shinobi are dreaming if they think they can just waltz in here."

Many of the Agakure jōnin nodded in agreent. They had fortified the town so well that it now resembled an iron fortress.

"Even so, we must not let our guard down. Konoha's reinforcents have already arrived, which ans their attack could begin at any mont. We need to finalize our defensive strategies now. If you have any ideas, speak up."

Ryūgen's voice carried authority, though deep down, he wasn't as optimistic as he appeared.

Tetsuishi Town was too close to the border.

Not only had the Land of Fire invaded the Land of Rain, but the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth had done the sa.

With the town's rich resources, there was no way Sunagakure and Iwagakure would ignore its value.

It wouldn't be long before their shinobi arrived, and when they did, the pressure on Agakure would increase exponentially.

The Land of Rain no longer had spare forces to reinforce Tetsuishi Town.

"If only we had allies..."

Ryūgen sighed inwardly.

Agakure had tried to seek allies, but with three of the Five Great Nations as their enemies, no other hidden village dared to form an alliance with them.

...

"Lord Jiraiya, Elder Danzō still hasn't returned. Could sothing have happened to him? Should we send soone to search for him?"

Tsuchiki voiced his concerns to Jiraiya.

It had been two days since the reinforcents arrived at the forward base.

In that ti, there had been no word from Danzō.

"Gather a small team and return to the village. Inform them that Elder Danzō has been missing for several days."

Jiraiya instructed calmly.

Tsuchiki nodded but hesitated before asking, "Lord Jiraiya, when will we attack Tetsuishi Town? The shinobi from the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth have already begun scouting this area. If we wait too long, we may lose our chance to take the town for ourselves."

"We attack tomorrow. We're not waiting for Danzō. Gather the leaders of the major clans for a eting. We need to finalize our battle plans."

Jiraiya made his decision after a brief mont of contemplation.

Originally, Hiruzen Sarutobi had sent Danzō to lead the assault on Tetsuishi Town.

But now that Jiraiya had eliminated him, there was no reason to delay.

"Lord Jiraiya, are you sure we should attack without waiting for Elder Danzō? Wouldn't that be inappropriate?"

Tsuchiki knew that Danzō had been entrusted with leading the attack.

"Don't worry. If the village holds anyone accountable, I will take full responsibility."

"When we left, the Hokage didn't give Elder Danzō any special instructions. Now, he has abandoned the base without leaving any ssage or indication of his return. We cannot allow his personal actions to hinder such a crucial mission."

"If he had left for a secret mission, he would have at least inford us. But he disappeared without a trace. That is unacceptable."

Jiraiya subtly painted Danzō's absence as an act of negligence.

"Understood, Lord Jiraiya. I'll summon everyone for the eting."

Hearing that Jiraiya would take responsibility, Tsuchiki's concerns disappeared.

If disaster struck, as long as soone else took the bla, he had nothing to worry about.

Before long, all the jōnin and elite jōnin were gathered.

"I'm sure you all know that Elder Danzō was assigned to lead the assault on Tetsuishi Town. However, he has left the base without warning and remains missing. We have no idea when—or if—he will return. anwhile, our enemies are already gathering intelligence."

"We cannot afford to wait any longer. I have decided—we attack tomorrow. Any objections?"

Jiraiya sat at the head of the room, his face serious as he surveyed the gathered shinobi.

"Since Elder Danzō abandoned his post, we shouldn't delay. The Land of Wind and the Land of Earth are already moving in. If we don't act now, we'll lose our chance to take the town."

Uchiha Raiden was the first to speak, fully supporting Jiraiya's decision.

He had never liked Danzō.

Now that Danzō had vanished, this was the perfect opportunity to make sure he stayed gone.
