Why do these two act as if possessing the Mangekyou Sharingan makes them invincible?

It swept across the distance at lightning speed.
Itachi stared at the oncoming shockwave.
His pupils contracted slightly.
He imdiately released a faint shockwave of his own ocular power.

A loud boom resounded as the two shockwaves canceled each other out.
However, the wind was blowing towards Itachi's position.
Both of them understood the outco of their ocular clash Sasuke had clearly won.
But while both were aware of the situation, Kisa and the others were left in the dark.
'What did the two of them just do? Why did a shockwave suddenly appear out of nowhere?'
Kisa widened his eyes, trying to make sense of it.
In the next second, Itachi realized that his own ocular power was inferior to his brother's.
So he decided to use another ability of the Sharingan to compete.
'Genjutsu!'
Itachi's pupils dilated instantly. At that mont, as he locked eyes with Sasuke, Sasuke suddenly felt subtle changes in his surroundings.
'Using genjutsu?'
Perhaps genjutsu wasn't Sasuke's strongest suit, but his current level of skill in it wasn't weak either.
Moreover, Sasuke had the existence of the Reverse Scale. Not only did his own chakra far surpass what Itachi's genjutsu could easily disrupt, but Sasuke also had the Reverse Scale's stored chakra a second source within his body.
To counter genjutsu, one either escapes it oneself or is helped by soone else.

In the next second, Itachi suddenly found his surroundings plunging into blackness.

For soone as skilled in genjutsu as Itachi, this was surprising. As an expert in this field, to be affected by another's genjutsu was unthinkable.
Countless questions swirled through Itachi's mind at that mont.
However, Itachi didn't panic when faced with genjutsu. He simply closed his eyes, gathering a bit of ocular power, and reopened them.
In an instant, the darkness retreated, and Sasuke's figure reappeared.
At that mont, countless shuriken flew towards him.
Instinctively, Itachi moved to evade them, but in the next second, he suddenly realized sothing.
He hurriedly used his ocular power to dispel yet another layer of genjutsu.
When the scene returned to normal, Itachi suddenly felt his legs weaken. He dropped to one knee, breathing heavily.
For Sasuke and Itachi, the previous sequence of events was clear. However, for Kisa and the others, it was a complete mystery.
What they saw was the two of them staring at each other for about ten seconds.
Then, all of a sudden, Itachi dropped to one knee, looking extrely uncomfortable.
Though the genjutsu exchange wasn't visible, everyone present understood the fearso power of the Uchiha clan's Sharingan.
It was clear that the two had just been engaging in a clash of genjutsu. What shocked Kisa, however, was the outco.
Despite both possessing the Mangekyou Sharingan, Itachi had lost!
A master of genjutsu, soone who had elevated its use to an art form, had been defeated in a battle of illusions!
How was that possible?
Itachi raised his head, looking at Sasuke in disbelief.
In terms of skill with genjutsu, Sasuke was slightly inferior. But Sasuke's ocular power completely overwheld his own.
As a result, dispelling Sasuke's genjutsu consud an enormous amount of Itachi's strength.
'Sasuke... Your... ocular power... How can it be so overwhelming!'
