Chapter 25: Extraordinary

What is a dream?

On the first day of school, there weren't many classes. Iruka simply asked everyone to introduce themselves and then dismissed them early.

Later, when they returned ho and Hinata went back to the Hyuga compound, Iruka posed the sa question to them: What is your dream?

Just like she said in class, Hinata's dream remained unchanged—to beco a worthy and capable clan leader.

It was what she truly believed in.

Ryosuke's answer, however, was different from what he'd told the class earlier.

"My dream," Ryosuke said with a faint smile, "is to gain enough power to protect myself and my family as soon as possible... then continue to grow stronger, one step at a ti."

This was what he truly believed.

But his response clearly left Hyuga Hiashi deeply dissatisfied.

Frowning, Hiashi stood up from his seat and looked down at Ryosuke. "That... is your dream? That's your goal?"

His voice was cold and firm, laced with disappointnt.

Hiashi had placed imnse expectations on Ryosuke. In fact, in his heart, Ryosuke already held a higher position than even his own daughter. If he had to choose between Ryosuke and Hinata—blood aside—Hiashi might very well choose Ryosuke.

Why? Because Ryosuke's bloodline had awakened sothing in him—sothing he hadn't felt in a long ti. It was a feeling that this boy could be more than just a genius... he could redefine the Hyuga clan's entire future.

But now, hearing Ryosuke speak of such an ordinary dream, Hiashi was furious. This—this—was not the dream of soone destined for greatness.

"Are you planning to waste your ancestral bloodline?"

Hiashi's voice grew sharper, angrier. "Ryosuke, soone like you... you can't possibly an that. Tell what you really think."

To him, Ryosuke wasn't being honest. He was hiding behind false humility again. Just like before—masking his true strength, keeping secrets.

Nearby, Hinata stood nervously, her hands clenched behind her back. Her fingers twisted together as anxiety filled her chest.

This was the first ti her father had ever spoken to Ryosuke so harshly since they had welcod him into their family.

He was angry.

But Ryosuke didn't flinch. He didn't break eye contact. He didn't even change his tone.

"That is what I truly think."

His calm voice, steady and composed, contrasted with Hiashi's barely restrained rage.

"Ridiculous!"

Hiashi slamd the table with a loud bang, so hard that birds nesting in the trees outside fluttered away in panic.

"You know the history of the Hyuga clan."

"Since the Warring States period, we've called ourselves a great clan. But the truth is—we haven't had a truly exceptional talent with both strength and integrity in generations!"

"When Konoha was first founded, our clan gained prestige thanks to our powerful perception techniques and bloodline. We held a respected position in the village. We enjoyed privileges."

"But now? Even though the higher-ups still treat us with courtesy, it's not out of respect—it's out of formality. Their wariness of us isn't even on the sa level as their fear of the Uchiha. That's not a complint. That's shaful."

Hiashi's voice cracked with emotion.

"And you know why, Ryosuke."

"I do," Ryosuke said quietly.

"Then you should understand what's expected of you!"

Hiashi took a step forward, fists clenched.

"When Konoha was founded, the Uchiha had Uchiha Madara. The Senju had Hashirama and Tobirama. And the Hyuga? We had no one who could compare."

"Later on, the Senju line faded, Madara disappeared, and yet... the na of Tsunade—Princess of the Senju—echoed across the ninja world. Even the Uchiha had figures like Uchiha Kagami! Not from the sa era, but still capable of carrying the clan's na with pride."

"But us? The Hyuga? Still no one. Nothing."

"Now, even with the Senju faded, the Uchiha rise again—with talents like Uchiha Itachi and Shisui the Body Flicker. And finally, the Hyuga has soone who could carry the banner. That soone... is you, Ryosuke."

He pointed directly at him.

"Your ambition shouldn't be so narrow."

"I let you hide your strength before—to bide your ti. But don't think for a second that gives you the right to waste your talent. You are the Hyuga clan's future. You should be making history, not running from it."

Hiashi's chest heaved as he tried to catch his breath. His body trembled—not with weakness, but with passion.

The Hyuga clan had waited too long for soone like Ryosuke.

Konoha didn't fear them the way it feared the Uchiha—because they didn't respect the Hyuga. Not anymore.

Their glory was old, dusty. Their Gentle Fist technique, passed down from a century ago, remained unchanged. The Byakugan—unchanged for generations.

Without those white eyes, they were nothing.

But Ryosuke had changed that.

"Father, you're getting too worked up," Ryosuke said quietly, calmly.

Hiashi's forehead veins were bulging like he'd activated the Byakugan, but Ryosuke didn't even blink. His usual gentle smile faded, replaced by sothing quieter... sothing deeper.

"Living peacefully in this world isn't as easy as you think," Ryosuke said. "And gaining the strength to protect the ones you care about doesn't happen overnight."

The room fell quiet.

In truth, Ryosuke had thought about many different goals since arriving in this world.

But none of them felt as real as the one he clung to now—a quiet life, built through steady, relentless training.

He ca from a world without chakra. A world ruled by science and technology. A world with no spirit, no cultivation, no extraordinary powers.

When he arrived in the ninja world—when he felt chakra for the first ti—it had been life-changing.

He wasn't chasing power for fa. He didn't want a throne or a harem or to rule over nations.

He could have done that in his past life, if he'd really wanted to.

The modern world had its luxuries, its comforts, its endless distractions. The entertainnt industry, the internet, convenience everywhere. Compared to that, this world was cruel and harsh.

But chakra? Cultivation? That was different.

That was extraordinary.

As soone who ca from a world without it, the first ti he felt chakra flow through his body, it wasn't just exciting—it was sacred.

The Byakugan. The Gentle Fist. They allowed him to do things he'd never imagined before.

To him, power wasn't a tool for glory—it was a path toward understanding.

A chance to ascend beyond his past self.

If he'd been given a chakra refinent manual in his previous life, he wouldn't have used it to show off or dominate.

He would've studied it quietly. Obsessed over every detail. Mastered every inch of it.

Because in that mont, the very act of cultivating chakra was like touching sothing divine.

And that's what the people of this world couldn't understand.

They had been born into this power.

Ryosuke hadn't.

And that difference... that reverence for the extraordinary... shaped everything he believed in.
