Just like Neji said, she was already thirteen, a proper young lady. Being carried the whole way by a handso guy was obviously going to make her embarrassed.
And the key detail was, this handso guy still looked reluctant to put her down.
That was enough to make her want to die of embarrassnt.
Natsuki, on the other hand, was genuinely curious about Sasuke's mindset. He pulled out a plastic water bottle, held it up like a microphone, and started "interviewing" him. "Mr. Sasuke, please tell us what you were thinking just now. Why were you reluctant to let go of Miss Hanabi?"
Neji stared at Sasuke like a hawk. He clearly wanted to hear this "upright Sasuke's" answer too.
If this guy dared to set his sights on his little sister, they were fighting. No negotiation.
Sasuke looked a little embarrassed, but he still answered. "I just thought Hanabi is small and cute. It reminded of how my brother used to hold . I felt nostalgic. I was thinking that if I had a cute little sister too, it'd be nice. I didn't an anything inappropriate."
Natsuki nodded in exaggerated understanding. "I thought you had special intentions. What a sha. Mr. Sasuke is not a lolicon. This has been reported by the Land of Fire, Konoha Village Channel."
What kind of roleplay even is this?
Still, Neji finally relaxed. As long as Sasuke wasn't aiming at his sister, it was fine.
Sasuke really was incredible, too. Excellent across the board. But if you asked whether he was worthy of Neji's little sister… honestly…
Neji's brain short-circuited.
Damn it, he couldn't even co up with a reason to reject him.

Luckily, no one got hung up on it.
Naruto brought up the gigantic Tenseigan deep inside the castle. Orochimaru imdiately got even more excited.
After they bundled Toneri up, Orochimaru practically urged Naruto to lead the way. The four of them returned to stand before that massive Tenseigan.
"Subarashii! Subarashii yo!" Orochimaru was practically glowing with joy. "So this is the treasure ford from the eyes of every Ōtsutsuki in that moon branch over a thousand years? The research value is trendous! Natsuki-kun, bring this back to the lab with , along with everything else. I'm starting my work imdiately!"
He was a little too excited.
But with that many Byakugan in one place, it would've been weirder if he wasn't losing his mind.
Natsuki looked to Neji. "Neji, how do you think we should handle that giant Tenseigan?"
Neji stayed calm. "Even if the moon Ōtsutsuki branch uses Byakugan, those eyes don't belong to our Hyūga clan. Let Orochimaru research them. Hopefully he produces sothing worthwhile. But Hanabi's eyes need to be returned as soon as possible."
Orochimaru waved a hand. "Relax, relax. I'll return them soon!"
With a giant Tenseigan like this, those two degraded Tenseigan eyes weren't that important anymore. He just needed to confirm why they degraded, then he'd give them back.
Orochimaru had no intention of provoking Neji at a ti like this. That would only cut into his research hours.
Seeing Neji didn't object, Natsuki activated Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique) and transferred Orochimaru, the giant Tenseigan, and Toneri straight to the lab.
Then Orochimaru ignored Natsuki entirely and imdiately started working.
Natsuki only shrugged and vanished, heading ho to see his wife.
Neji and the others didn't linger on the moon either. After Sasuke opened another space-ti portal, they returned to the Hyūga clan grounds in the next instant.
Hiashi and Hinata were still waiting where they'd been, and the mont they saw them return, they rushed forward.
"Hanabi!"
Hinata broke down on the spot, tears spilling as she pulled Hanabi into her arms.
Hanabi couldn't see, but she hugged Hinata back with careful tenderness and comforted her. "Don't cry, onee-san. I'm okay. Neji-nii, Sasuke-nii, and Naruto-nii were amazing. They already beat the enemy!"
Hinata's hands trembled as she gently touched Hanabi's eyes. "Then your eyes…"
Neji quickly said, "Hinata, don't panic. We got Hanabi's eyes back too. But because Toneri awakened the Tenseigan using them, Orochimaru has them right now for research. He'll return them soon."
Hinata finally exhaled, relief washing over her face. She smiled at Neji through tears. "Thank you, Neji-nii."
Neji reached out and ruffled Hinata's hair. "Don't be polite. You and Hanabi are both my little sisters. A big brother protecting his sisters is only natural."
In that mont, he fulfilled the promise he'd made as a child.
He would protect his sisters.
Hiashi watched the three siblings together, and his eyes grew wet. It felt like sothing inside him had finally been nded, sothing left broken by the tragedy of his younger brother Hizashi. He believed the Hyūga clan would only get better from here.
But hearing that Toneri had used Hanabi's eyes to awaken the Tenseigan still shocked him.
Then the shock turned into joy.
Because those eyes would be returned to Hanabi.
Which ant the Hyūga clan might gain another Tenseigan.
The Hyūga's future would stand at the very top of the shinobi world.
Hinata turned to the other two. "Thank you too, Naruto-kun… and Sasuke-kun."
Sasuke: 'too'? I'm the add-on?
Naruto stuck up his thumb. "See? I told you not to worry, Hinata. Hanabi's back now, and I kept my promise, dattebayo!"
Hinata nodded quickly, cheeks red as she lowered her head. She still wasn't used to Naruto's sunny grin.
Neji's expression darkened.
This damn blond idiot.
Neji and the others didn't plan to stay long. They still had to report to the Hokage, so they prepared to leave.
Hanabi hurriedly spoke up. "Sasuke-nii, bye!"
Sasuke paused, then gave a rare smile. "Yeah. Bye, Hanabi."
…
Neji's face went even darker.
After that, Neji and the others went straight to the Hokage's office and reported everything in detail. The Hokage and the others finally breathed easy.
Fortunately, they'd moved fast. The damage was minimal.
And the gains were enormous. Everyone believed Orochimaru would produce real results. The alliance's overall strength would rise again, and when the Ōtsutsuki ca, they'd all be stomped underfoot.
Hashirama imdiately said, "Since it's resolved, then we head to the Land of Iron. Mifune's waiting for us to start the banquet."
No one objected. They even had ANBU notify Natsuki that he had to co too.
Natsuki didn't refuse. He brought Tenten along as well. She'd already t those big nas at the wedding banquet, so strengthening those connections would only help. Their family business would be booming in the future.
With Flying Thunder God speed, everyone regrouped once again.
From the mont they received the news to the mont everything ended, only three hours had passed. Konoha's efficiency really was on another level.
A, i Terumī, Ōnoki, Gaara, and Mifune imdiately crowded around them, firing questions from every direction. Naruto, being the lively one, started talking on his own, saving everyone else the trouble.
When the others heard the full story, they couldn't help feeling chills.
No one expected the descendant of the Sage of Six Paths' younger brother to want to destroy the shinobi world. It was terrifying to think how close they'd been to disaster. Thankfully they'd stopped it in ti, or nobody knew how catastrophic it would've been.
