Uchiha Ryun looked up at the moon in the courtyard. Moonlight spilled down, bathing his body. In that mont, Uchiha Ryun froze.

"The people of today do not see the moon of old, yet this sa moon once shone upon the ancients." The ancient poem slipped from his lips, adding a touch of lancholy to his deanor.

Tsunade’s hearing was sharp. The mont she heard the poem, she was struck by its beauty. When she looked at Uchiha Ryun under the moonlight, she suddenly felt her face grow warm.

"Ryun, you have quite the talent for poetry. ’The people of today do not see the moon of old, yet this sa moon once shone upon the ancients.’ With lines like these, I can imagine many girls falling for you," Tsunade said with a laugh.

Uchiha Ryun turned his head to look at Tsunade. She was wearing a loose kimono, her fair arms flawless as she stood beside him, gazing at the moon in the sky.

"Lady Tsunade, I apologize for making you laugh," Uchiha Ryun said with a polite smile. Technically, he was a genin while she was a jonin. Though they were classmates, in terms of rank, Tsunade was still his superior.

Tsunade shook her head. "Ryun, just call Tsunade. No need for formalities. Besides being superior and subordinate, we’re also classmates."

Hearing this, Uchiha Ryun finally raised his head. This ti, it was Tsunade who looked up at the moon, and he took the opportunity to observe her features up close.

Her oval face, high ponytail, and large, sparkling eyes. Her budding chest, slender legs, and the faint smile on her lips that she couldn’t hide. At this mont, her eyes held only the moon, as if it had beco a part of her gaze, reflected in her pupils.

Suddenly, Tsunade seed to realize sothing. She looked up at the man who stood a head taller than her and smiled. "Ryun, congratulations! After eighteen years, you’ve finally awakened your Sharingan!"

Her smile was clear and pure, unlike others. There was no mockery or ridicule, only sincere and simple congratulations.

Uchiha Ryun’s lips curled into a faint smile. "You’re the first person who genuinely wished well."

"Huh? No one in your clan cared for you or looked after you before?" Tsunade was taken aback and turned to face him.

Uchiha Ryun smiled faintly. "There used to be, but due to certain reasons, they’re gone now..."

He was referring to his parents and friends. When his parents were alive, he had been their treasure, their pride. But his father died in the First Shinobi War, and his mother, worn down by grief, passed away the following year.

As for friends, he had a few at first, but under the influence of so clan mbers, they gradually drifted away. And so, he beca an outcast in the Uchiha clan.

Seeing Uchiha Ryun still able to smile now, Tsunade suddenly felt that he was far more mature than others his age.

As for the reasons behind it, asking further would be inconsiderate. Tsunade shook her head and smiled. "Well, Ryun, you should rest early. We set off tomorrow, and if you don’t sleep now, you won’t be able to wake up on ti."

Then, she pointed to the guest room, stretched lazily, and returned to her bedroom.

Uchiha Ryun chuckled and headed in the direction Tsunade had indicated. It was already midnight, and the village was silent. The streets were empty except for patrols.

With war looming, nightti curfews were strictly enforced. Anyone caught outside risked being suspected as a spy or troublemaker.

So, Uchiha Ryun had no choice but to stay in the Senju compound. Entering the guest room, he found it spotless and guessed that Lady Mito must have had it prepared.

He couldn’t help but feel grateful toward her. If he rembered correctly, next year, the Land of Whirlpools would be invaded by the four great nations, all seeking the Uzumaki bloodline.

No matter what, he had to find a way to prevent that from happening! His gaze was as firm as stone. Then, he lay down on the bed, pulled up the covers, and fell asleep.

At that mont, Uzumaki Mito opened her eyes, got up, and knocked on Tsunade’s door. Knock, knock, knock.

"Who is it?" Tsunade had just taken off her clothes, her fair legs exposed. Since this was her ho and her room, she saw no reason to hold back.

Senju Nawaki had been called by Orochimaru to receive so warti advice and extra training, so he wasn’t ho tonight.

As for Uchiha Ryun? After their earlier conversation, Tsunade was sure he was a decent person who wouldn’t do sothing like peeping. But she still asked just in case.

"It’s ," Uzumaki Mito’s voice ca through the door. Tsunade imdiately perked up. She both loved and respected her grandmother. After her grandfather’s death, it was Mito who raised her and Nawaki.

So, Tsunade naturally held deep respect and affection for her.

Creak—the door opened.

"Grandmother." Tsunade’s voice rang out before she appeared. Uzumaki Mito’s face lit up with a smile. She always loved hearing her granddaughter’s voice.

But when the door opened and she saw Tsunade completely naked, her expression darkened. She frowned and said sternly, "How many tis have I told you? A young lady should sleep in her clothes! You never listen!"

"Normally, I’d let it slide, but we have a guest in the house tonight. What if soone saw you like this?" Uzumaki Mito scolded.

Tsunade shrank her neck. She knew her grandmother was angry. Her rarely used brain scrambled to think of a way to appease her, but nothing ca to mind.

This made Mito, who had just entered, laugh. "Fine, stop thinking. Your mouth is as clumsy as your grandfather’s!"

Tsunade could only scratch her head and awkwardly smile. After all, her grandmother was the head of the household, and her words were undeniably correct. There was no arguing.

"Grandmother, sit!" Tsunade pointed to the tatami, then put on a silk robe and knelt properly on the other side, waiting for her grandmother’s lecture. As she sat, her chest swayed slightly, making Uzumaki Mito shake her head.

Mito didn’t comnt further. She knelt opposite Tsunade with perfect posture, exuding grace and elegance—a stark contrast to Tsunade.

"What did the monkey discuss with you at the eting?" Uzumaki Mito asked first, her gaze fixed on Tsunade.

Tsunade looked up at her grandmother, her expression calm.

"Grandmother, the Hokage said he wants , Orochimaru, and Jiraiya to each lead a thousand troops to the Land of Rain to eliminate enemy forces. If necessary..." Tsunade hesitated.

"Speak," Uzumaki Mito said flatly.

Tsunade sighed. "If necessary, we are to intercept Hanzo the Salamander to buy ti for the main forces."

Uzumaki Mito narrowed her eyes and fell into a long silence.
