Genya opened his eyes, excitent written all over his face.
He had been working on improving his Infinite Chakra World Technique for five months, and he could finally control the chakra in his body.
This was a significant improvent! After five months of training, Genya felt that the chakra stored in his body was on par with that of a jonin, and he could sense that every cell in his body was still being nurtured to store even more chakra.
He slowly spread his palms, and rays of lightning gathered to form a simple thunder ball. The lightning not only demonstrated his control but also helped strengthen his cells. This was a crucial part of Genya's new technique.
Now, Genya could easily control his chakra. Simple ninjutsu could be perford quickly without hand seals, though he still needed practice with more complex techniques. Creating and perfecting a new ninjutsu took more than six months.
After a night of training, Genya was hungry again. He left his room, ate so prepared food, and put weights on his arms and ankles.
Then, he packed a backpack full of food and went out for a run. He didn't plan to return until noon, preferring to train in the open space.
"Uh, it's snowing?" Genya opened the door and looked out at the vast white expanse, feeling a bit lancholic.
He had been here for three and a half years. Genya sighed and stepped outside. The snow crunched pleasantly under his feet.
As he moved forward, a slender, petite figure raced across the snow. Over the past five months, Genya had grown taller and stronger, able to run swiftly even with weights on his body.
"Hey, Genya, did you miss ?" A figure appeared next to Genya, hanging upside down with a teasing tone.
"Are you back from the mission?" Genya glanced at Might Guy, who was hanging upside down, feeling curious.
Might Guy had been on a mission for more than a month, and Genya hadn't expected him to return today.
"Don't ntion that bad thing. I'm struggling with a simple task!" Might Guy laughed and looked at Genya again. "Genya, I haven't seen you in over a month. You've grown taller!"
In the past month, Genya had grown at least three fingers taller.
"Stop chatting and let's fight again after we finish training!" Genya said as he sped up.
This ti, Genya ran around Konoha twenty tis with weights on his back and finally climbed up the cliff using only his hands.
Next ca the beating. Yes, the beating. In their recent sparring, Might Guy hadn't been holding back, making Genya uneasy. He was hit often!
With only physical strength, Genya couldn't match Might Guy and had to endure the beating.
At noon!
Genya lay in the snow, bruised and panting heavily. "I told you not to hit my face! What if you ruin my handso face?"
While complaining, Genya used his Infinite Chakra World Technique to heal himself. This technique allowed him to quickly recover from injuries and use chakra to nourish his cells.
This was also part of the Chakra Infusion Technique.
"With your amazing recovery ability, just take a day to rest!" Might Guy said with a smirk. He had initially planned to hold back, but after seeing Genya's recovery speed, he decided otherwise. "Beating you up isn't so bad!"
Genya was speechless: "..."
So you're using as a punching bag?
"It's noon. Why aren't you heading ho?" Might Guy asked, looking at the sky.
"I wasn't planning to go back anyway!" Genya replied, then continued, "Now that you've beaten up like this, I can't go ho. If my mom sees like this, she'll definitely co after you!"
"Haha. I want you to understand the harshness of being a ninja. As the saying goes, you suffer now so that you'll be strong enough to save yourself in real battles!" Might Guy said with a grin.
If Genya hadn't seen the smirk on his face, he might have believed him.
This guy just wants to beat up.
"Just wait, I'll get you back soon!" Genya said through gritted teeth.
"Haha. I'll be waiting, little Genya!" Might Guy replied with a wink and a thumbs up, showing his bright smile. "Youth is about never giving up. I'm looking forward to your challenge!"
Genya was at a loss for words. He closed his eyes, not wanting to argue about Might Guy's idea of youth.
"Oh~~ Did you bring chicken legs today?" Might Guy's voice suddenly piped up with excitent.
Genya opened his eyes and glared at him. "Be quiet, that's my food!"
"Give so!" Might Guy begged.
Snow continued to fall as Genya and Might Guy ate and bickered on the mountaintop. After their al, they resud their training.
Night fell quickly, and the snowfall remained light. Might Guy left early, and Genya waited until the swelling on his face had nearly subsided before heading ho. It was very late, and the streets were nearly empty.
Dim streetlights provided the only illumination in the darkness. Genya walked through the snow, the crunch of each step clear in the quiet night.
As he humd a tune and walked along the path, he suddenly heard faint sobbing. The sound was so quiet it was barely noticeable.
Alert, Genya recalled his father's warning about recent unease in the village and the possibility of ninja spies from other villages trying to gather information about Konoha.
Who?
Thinking this, Genya's chakra began to circulate rapidly in his body. He frowned and looked towards the source of the voice.
He took a few steps forward and found himself in front of an alley. He glanced sideways.
In the dimly lit alley, the snow-covered ground glowed faintly, and the streetlights flickered.
Under one of these dim lights, Genya saw a little girl huddled in the snow, quietly sobbing.
Her voice was very soft, almost as if she was trying not to attract attention.
Seeing this, Genya's guard relaxed a bit. He approached the little girl and asked, "Little sister, why are you crying? Are you hungry?"
Although Genya looked mature for his age, his voice was still childlike, which seed a bit odd.
The little girl was startled by his words and curled up tighter.
She slowly looked up, revealing her tear-streaked face.
When the little girl saw that Genya was about her age, she seed to feel a bit more at ease. She blinked her big eyes, trying to get a clearer look at him.
At this mont, Genya noticed her eyes and felt his heart race. He thought to himself, "Hyuga Hinata!"
