"Alright," I said, stepping back to admire our progress. "Looks like we've got an alpha version. It's self-learning, rembers patterns, and can perform arithtic with reasonable accuracy. I'm really happy that we managed to get this far, and I want to give all of you a kiss on the cheek for the great work that you all have done."
"Can I have the kiss that is supposed to be for Lupina?" Verina raised her hand. "She doesn't do jack."
"How dare you claim what's supposed to be mine!" Lupina raged. "This is a mutiny to the bastion's head of consul!'
Kuzunoha raised her hand as she covered half of her face with a fancy laced fan that she pulled out of nowhere. "Since I did most of the crucial process, can my reward be promoted into a passionate and steamy long-lengthened deep kiss?"
"How dare you!" Verina protested as she tried to control Lupina who was biting onto her hand.
"Kuzunoha, you're only doing part of your contract." I challenged her with a smirk. " giving you a kiss on the cheek is generous enough since I'm not even supposed to reward you."
"Hmmm, how about a kiss on both cheeks?" Kuzunoha's eyes squinted, obviously wearing a mischievous smile behind that covering fan.
"That is acceptable," Verina retreated, ignoring the feral wolf head that was chomping on her garb like a rabid beast.
The rewarding session was nothing but wholeso, with everyone getting a kiss on the cheek from this fair lady who was on the brink of tears from pure joy. There was no further underlying implication, nor was there any inappropriate reaction coming from both the giving and receiving party.
I prefer this more than their explicit conduct when they crawl into my bed with nothing but their underwear.
"I'm surrounded by thirsty won."
Of course, securing the Alpha version for the Organic Calculator was not our only plan for the afternoon of Carcosa.
In the midst of our work, one of the bastioneers interrupted, carrying a sowhat alarming report.
"Lady Narcissus," Naosi stamred, "I think you should know about Erika."
"Erika?" I raised an eyebrow, mildly curious, as the rest of my confidantes were working on the task I gave them. "What's she up to?"
"She's… suddenly beco very energetic and more so than the expected and the usual," Naosi reported.
I did make them report to if there was anything suspicious happening to the bastion or other bastioneers if I was available, but I told them to deliver it to either Kuzunoha or Verina first unless it was very alarming.
"It's as if she thinks you're… well… a god," Naosi awkwardly continued. "As of now, she is zealously carving a small statue of you out of wood with eyes jolted wide while muttering sothing like, 'I must materialize my faith' and 'I must cleanse my sinful being', and many other worrying behaviors."
For a mont, I was puzzled, then amused. Yes, the Scripts were ant to instill loyalty and dedication, but 'god' seed a little grandiose. Then again, it wasn't entirely unwelco.
Though, it would be very troubleso if this behavior attracts the attention of the Inquisition in the future.
I dismissed the concern with a casual wave. "Thank you for reporting this crucial information. As of now, heed others to take turns on observing Erika's behavior. I'm currently preparing sothing that all of you will be using, and it must be achieved before the coming of the dusk."
"I will deliver this to the rest, Lady Narcissus," Naosi respectfully bowed before she left.
She changed so much since I began teaching her about the Calamity Alloy, and also adding that topic to the Script she was reading.
No longer the playboy she was, only respect and admiration was reflected on her eyes when I gazed at them.
Those visible changes could also be seen from the other bastioneers. I truly didn't expect that the Script would take effect that fast. It was only two Carcosan days, after all.
"The new strain of universal motif has been confird and ready for analyzing,"Verina notified. "Confirm us when you're ready for us to perform the conversion, Narcy."
While planning far into the process of the Neuromorphic Computation technology in the future, I ca up with the idea of a standardized material for any kind of neuromorphic related technology.
This would ensure a uniford quality for any future neuromorphic-related products.
This uniford material must be as reliable in its durability as it was malleable when molded into any kind of shapes and behavior. It also needed to be able to interact with any neuromorphic-related technologies.
And of course, relying on a specific combination of Calamity Alloys and its synthetic counterpart won't just cut it, especially since any earthly tal was far less flexible when it cos to its potential in this world filled with godly horrors and magical sadistic foxes.
"We can increase the quantity if we reduce the intended complexity of the final product," Kuzunoha cooed, as if she was baiting to say sothing significant in retort to that.
"Can we just increase the complexity of the ingredients instead of decreasing the complexity of the product?" I said.
Kuzunoha's scarlet eyes glead. It seed like I was right at the mark.
"If that happens, only Kuzunoha will be able to take a hand at making the 'material'," Verina protested.
"Just be better," Kuzunoha scoffed with a smug.
"Being an audience to their words clashing is better than being the one amidst all of them," comnted the talking head that was held in my arms. "Not to ntion, I have procured myself the best kind of seat to savor these ladies' sadistic retorts~!"
After an hour of mingling the wisdom of sorcery from two arcane ohrtenders with my knowledge that was sponsored by Sir Aethernet, we managed to develop a unique kind of tallic alloy that we dubbed as Neuro Alloy—a tal fusion that could be forged from any Calamity Alloys and tal we'd gathered, alongside an abundant of water to perform the conversion process with the help of arcane sorcery, saving us from scouring the lands for specific ingredients.
This decision alone had made the whole lifeline of my future project related to the Neuromorphic Computation technology to lie at the hands of the numbers of arcane-based ohrtender in my team, which was only Kuzunoha who fit the bill at the mont. Continue your adventure at empire
Verina was supposed to be the second person who would be incharge of converting the ingredients into the Neuro Alloy, but the addition of an actual tal and freshwater made the related spells to perform the conversion to be much more complex in terms of arcane prowess.
This knocked Verina from the position of the direct producer to this fantasy material.
"Look at these ingots of cyan-colored goodness, gleaming with such enthusiasm!" I displayed the result over to my confidantes like a child who was proud of her 4th grade science project. "This is the work of art, I tell you!"
""It is a work of art indeed,"" said both Verina and Kuzunoha in unison, albeit neither of their eyes were latching on the Neuro Alloy ingots that I presented.
This breath-taking alloy should fare better than Voorathite and even so of the modern steel alloy used for space-project vessels.
Not only that, it was half the weight of an iron, making one if not the most beautiful material for a self-proclaid crafter like ~!
The Neuro Alloy was also capable of synchronizing with neuromorphic tech, making it a fitting match for any cognitive enhancents or equipnt we dread up later.
And one of those ca in the form of the new standardized weapon of the bastion for the bastioneers working under my command.
"Ahahaha…" Lupina wryly smiled as the new mighty 'equipnt' of our latest creation casting its thick and pole-like shadow over her head. "I don't think that this can be categorized as a personal weapon anymore…"

Skypiercer
(Legendary 100%) - 5.8 kg]: Otherwise known as the Neuro-Harpoon Pike, the Skypiercer is a revolutionary hybrid weapon crafted from the versatile Neuro Alloy, an adaptive tal forged from various Calamity Alloys through arcane sorcery. This pike is designed to combine the range of a traditional pike with the brutal adaptability of a harpoon, featuring a retractable multi-bladed spearhead. Within the spearhead's thick base lies a series of hidden blades that can extend outward with a ntal command from the user, thanks to its arcane attunent to the wielder's psychic energy.
Once activated, the blades lock into place, transforming the weapon from a piercing pike to a uni-angle slashing weapon of mass carnage, allowing for swift transitions in combat style
]
The Skypiercer had a multi-bladed spearhead at the top, one that hid several sharp blades in the spearhead's thick base. When the wielder thought strongly enough, these hidden blades retracted in sync with their intent, allowing for a greater variance of attacks. This ntal connectivity was due to a modified arcane link, an idea Kuzunoha and I had worked on while exploring neuromorphic principles.
This wonderful weapon was as light as it was deadly, and as we tested it, the surface of the three-ters-long shaft glead, almost anticipating the tasks ahead.
Also, did the detail screen ntion the quality as 'Legendary' instead of the usual 'Masterpiece'?
