Chapter 549: Peak of the Qi Accumulation Realm
Kyrian remained pletely motionless beneath the tree, his slender silhouette blending with the dancing shadows cast by the leaves.
The wind gently swayed the branches above his head, creating a hypnotic pattern of light and darkness that moved across his clothes like invisible fingers.
Small golden patches pierced through the leaves and danced over his shoulders, his calm face, and his hands resting upon his knees.
For nearly half an hour, nothing changed outwardly. His breathing remained slow and steady, so regular that a careless observer might have mistaken him for a jade statue carved by a master.
Each inhalation was deep and silent, drawing air into his lungs with the gentleness of a rising tide.
Each exhalation carried away the last traces of tension accumulated during the battle against Luo Meilin, the strain in his muscles, the lingering adrenaline, and the extreme concentration his mind had been forced to maintain.
Inside his body, however, everything was in motion. It was as though his tranquil exterior concealed a universe in the midst of boiling chaos.
Qi flowed through his meridians in perfect cycles, each circulation smoother than the last, like a river finally finding its course after a flood.
The three dantians rotated in perfect harmony, three suns orbiting within the same inner universe, each with its own radiance and purpose.
The two within his eyes. And the third, in his forehead, shone with the promise of a power that had not yet fully awakened.
Especially the third one.
Before the battle, small instabilities had still lingered within his cultivation foundation. They were almost imperceptible to most cultivators, but Kyrian, with his keen perception and relentless pursuit of perfection, sensed every one of them like a discordant note in a symphony.
Minor fluctuations in the spiritual flow, tiny differences between the speed of Qi circulation and the capacity of his meridians to withstand that accelerated growth.
Like cracks in a newly built wall, small, yet potentially dangerous in the long run.
Now, none of that remained.
The battle had pletely eliminated those problems. Every exchanged strike, every dodge, every moment of overwhelming pressure had acted like a blacksmith’s hammer, forging and pacting his cultivation foundation until not a single imperfection remained.
The third dantian was solid, and stable, as steadfast as a mountain that withstood the fiercest storms.
Kyrian perceived it clearly. Every particle of Qi obeyed his will without the slightest resistance, flowing through his meridians like water through perfectly carved canals.
That feeling of friction, of energy struggling against energy, was gone. It was as though that dantian had finally bee a natural part of his body, an organ that had always been there, merely waiting for the right moment to awaken pletely.
A faint smile appeared on his lips, so subtle that it would have gone almost unnoticed.
‘I can continue cultivating.’
There was no longer any need to wait. Nor any reason to waste precious time. His goal was still unimaginably distant, a peak hidden behind clouds that he could barely glimpse.
The sooner he strengthened the third dantian, the sooner he would be able to use it to its fullest potential. Every day of delay was another day lost on his journey.
After pletely calming his mind, Kyrian slowly opened his eyes.
His gaze rose toward the blue sky above the Sky Caravan, a mantle of perfect clarity stretching all the way to the horizon.
At that very moment, his vision changed.
The colors of the world disappeared. The green of the leaves, the brown of the earth, the blue of the sky, all of it faded away like ink dissolving in water.
In their place, millions of luminous particles pletely filled his perception, a hidden universe revealed only to those with eyes capable of seeing it.
They were specks of bluish, golden, silvery, and greenish light scattered everywhere, floating through the air like fireflies on a summer night.
Some were large and brilliant, others tiny and nearly invisible. Some drifted slowly, while others zigzagged with almost living vitality. Qi. The Qi of Heaven and Earth.
It was so abundant that it seemed to form an invisible ocean enveloping the entire Sky Caravan, a sea of energy that every cultivator breathed, yet few truly saw. Kyrian, however, saw everything. Every particle, every current, every hidden flow.
He took a deep breath, feeling the energy-laden air enter his lungs.
Then, he had only a single thought.
‘e.’
The next instant, his eyes transformed into two true black holes. An overwhelming force of suction silently erupted from his violet pupils, a gravitational attraction that distorted the very space around him.
The countless particles of Qi began to tremble, timidly at first, then with increasing intensity. It was as though all the surrounding energy had suddenly awakened from a long slumber.
Then they were violently pulled toward Kyrian, dragged by an invisible current that accepted no refusal.
‘Whoosh!’
Streams of spiritual energy streaked across the sky, forming luminous trails that sliced through the air like inverted meteors. Above the small courtyard, an enormous vortex of Qi began to form, a whirlpool of light and energy spinning faster and faster.
All of that energy converged directly toward his eyes, disappearing into his pupils like water swallowed by a bottomless abyss.
…
On the nearby streets, several cultivators halted in their tracks.
“Hm?” A middle-aged man frowned, his eyes narrowing as his spiritual perception spread outward.
“The Qi… has changed.”
A young female disciple, dressed in the colors of a minor sect, closed her eyes for a few moments, concentrating on the sensation.
“It’s being pulled… but where?”
Other cultivators noticed it as well. The Qi throughout the region seemed to be flowing in a single direction, like rivers converging toward the sea after a storm. The energy that had once filled the air evenly now moved with purpose, with a clear intent that made the hairs on their arms stand on end.
Some even looked up at the sky, their eyes searching for the source of the disturbance.
But they could not pinpoint its origin. They could only sense that an absurd amount of spiritual energy was vanishing rapidly, being devoured by something invisible.
“What’s happening?” a young cultivator asked, his voice filled with confusion.
“An elder cultivating?” another speculated.
“Or someone breaking through to a major realm?”
“Perhaps a hidden treasure has been activated…”
